My impression is that if you are having a Grand Gathering that they automatically put the sites as close as they can which would put you in the same loop as well unless you don't all request the same loop type ( prefered, full hookup Etc.). After I was attached to the Grand gathering, no one else ( regular reservations dept ) could access my reservation. I'm not sure if that means that the whole process is different. You may be able to request a loop at the time you attach to a grand gathering instead of faxing the week before.
I have limited Grand Gathering knowledge so I wouldn't take what I said as gospel. Couldn't hurt to call the grand gathering dept and ask if you can add your loop request to it.

48 hours before you arrive, fax in your request, but make sure you put the grand gathering number on the fax in addition to your ressie number...then you can be sure you get what you need
last week when we tried to fax, my fax didn't like their fax and refused to talk to each other, so we ended up calling fw front desk...they always tell you that they can't guarantee anything, but we were right next to everyone at the gg

How about non GG requests? I have requested loop 100 for our upcoming trip. When I got my paper work after booking the site the request was listed on it. When I called last week to confirm the reservation I was told that the request was attached to my reservation. Do I still need to fax the request?
