Nassau Question

While I really have no desire to get off the ship while in Nassau, it seems like that is going to be my only option to call my kids while on the cruise. So, my question is, does anyone know where, and how close, the nearest public pay phone is to the ship? Thanks!

I found a phone booth right near the area where the hair braiders sit. You can't miss it as you walk into town. I also saw a bldg. with signs on it about telephones, but it was raining like a monsoon when we were there and the place was closed. I stood in rainwater up to my ankles at the pay phone just to call home and check on my elderly parents. I used an AT&T phone card I'd bought at Walmarts and had no problems getting through. It was less then a 5 min. walk to this phone.
