Since I have started using this page, I've seen one of these for the Contemporary and the Polynesian. How about the Wilderness Lodge? Let's see what everyone thinks. I'll be there in 43 DAYS!

WL is incredible!:D Everything you could want. Beautiful grounds, animals, geyser, the lobby!, bunk beds, EWP on the lake, boat to MK...

I love it there.so peaceful and tranquil. It just about makes you forget you are in Fla.

until I'm at WL for 8 days and 7 nights! Just booked my flight. Have ground transportation booked. Paying off my trip next week with my income tax money. Does it get any better than this?

WL has IMHO the most incredible lobby out of ANY WDW resort! Many compare WL lobby to AKL and though there are similiarities I think WL lobby is still the best by far!

My 3 year old son started his Wilderness Lodge fund the day after he got back from his first trip. If you ask him which is better, Disney or WL, WL wins hands down. :D He's planning to work at Disney when he grows up so he can live at WL...and of course he's taking me along. ;)

WL don't even come close to the AKL!

Last time I was t WL it was dirty and worn out rooms!
Lobby is ok but not as unique as AKL!!
The busses suck at WL!!

We love the WL too! You just cannot beat the feeling of AWE as you walk thru the front doors into that lobby!

Our family loves WL too. We got to stay there the 3rd week they were open. The lobby is beautiful and walking into it is awe inspiring. I could sit it the lobby all day and be very happy doing so. The tour is a great way to get to know WL. Ranger Stan is a fantastic guide. We love it so much, that we waited for VWL to open to bu into DVC.
I have also been to AKL and the emotion just is not there.

WL is what Disney is all about. It is wonderful. I could spend my days there and not even miss the parks :) !

I will be staying at WL for the first time in May and I couldn't be happier. I have heard so many wonderful things, I feel so lucky to be able to stay there. Hope to see some of you there!:)

I have to agree WL is awesome. I had such a peaceful feeling while there. My then 14 - month old DD thought the bubbling brooke in the lobby was THE coolest thing! The restaurants are very good here too. And I love taking the boat back from MK, it is so relaxing and then you get to the WL and you get even more relaxed.

I LOVE this thread!!!! We're staying at WL starting April 21st... and I can't wait. When we visited this resort the first time, a few years ago.. my dh said "THIS is where I want to stay!!!!" And... here we are. :)

WL is my favorite resort. We have stayed at other Disney resorts but they can't compare. I love the smell. There's nothing like sitting outside in the early morning with your coffee and smelling that wonderful wood fire smell! 63 more days!!!:pinkbounc

For those of you who haven't done so yet, stroll over to the Villas side of the lodge and check out the wrap around porch and sit on one of the rockers. Talk about relaxing!:) Also, visit Walt's train set while you are there, and have a seat in one of the big comfy chairs in front of the fireplace. I absolutely love Wilderness Lodge. There is nothing about it I don't like. I can't adequately explain it here, you just have to see for yourself. VWL here we come in 24 days!!!

We loved the WL last year when we stayed there. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. We are trying 2 other resorts this year but I know we will definitely be back to the WL. It's my family's favorite too. We bought DVC at VWL so we really do feel like we are home there. I agree you could spend all day in the lobby and have a great time:) And having been twice to Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone, It is truly amazing how well they have captured the feeling and look. To be in the middle of all the action and people at the theme parks and yet feel like you are in the middle of a national park is so nice to come back to at the end of a day!

We check in at the WL in 16 days! I have never been there before -- only seen it in the distance while riding a water mouse. It looks gorgeous in the pictures I've seen. Even though I've been to WDW 10 times (so far:) ), I feel like I'm going someplace new and exciting! We are REALLY looking forward to this trip.

Its the only place I have stayed, and I never want to stay anywhere else!!
You cant beat that feeling you get when you walk in the lobby and hear the ponderosa type music playing!We were just there in October and I did not find it dirty at all. Our room was perfect.

WE love the Wilderness Lodge so much that we bought DVC because of it!

Even if it rains, you have the beautiful lobby to sit in, play cards, etc. I can't explain the feeling I get when we drive up the driveway, but it's just awesome. What a place!

DW and I have stayed at GF(8 x's), AKL (2 x's), DL, Poly and BWI. We have stayed at WL 13 times and just plan on staying at WL in the future.

Our average stay at the WL is about 8 days. That means we have spent about 3 1/2 months at the Lodge in the last few years.

We are absolute fans of the villas and the WL in general. We love many of the other resorts, but WL is home. :D

We're staying there for the first time in December...starting on my birthday! Our breath was taken away by this lodge during our last trip. As we rode the boat from the Magic Kingdom to breakfast with Pooh & Friends at Artist Point, you can hear my voice on the camcorder saying "I don't care what it costs...we're staying here during our next trip!" We've got to do Movies for our 3-year-old DD (and us too, I suppose), but I think it's going to be hard to leave once we get to the Lodge. :D

The Wilderness Lodge was my very first Disney resort stay so it is a sentimental favorite. I will never forget how impressed I was with the lobby. My favorite thing about the WL is listening to the "crickets" chirping while waiting at the bus stop at night :)

We love the WL. DW is not the northwest themed, outdoorsy type, but we had to own DVC at VWL. All you have to do is spend time at the WL in December and you will fall in love, too. We will be there in May and Nov/Dec.

The WL is soooooo relaxing. The quiet pool by the villas is the greatest place to unwind. Our 3 yo DD loves the huge kiddie pool. She was just asking about the "gayzer" (guyser, of course)the other day and talking about how it made a rainbow last time we were there.

As for buses, who needs them - we always rent a car. It is the only way to go, IMO.

My fiance and I are staying there for our honeymoon in May! I used to work at Disney, and I have toured all the resorts (except the new AKL), and the WL is my favorite. Nothing compares to its theming. I can't wait to stay there!
