? about car rental in detroit to windsor

Hey everyone! We need to go to Windsor to take a look around as my fiance is going to be moving there in the next month or so. We are coming from a convention in Las Vegas, and the cost to fly into Detroit was WAY lower than flying into Windsor. We have already booked our flights, so we cannot change them.
Anyways, we found out today (after booking everything!) that as a Canadian citizen, we are unable to rent a car in the states and drive into Canada. I can understand why, but the thought is disconcerting. Any suggestions on what we can do? We arrive at 6am in Detroit, and needless to say, will be VERY tired. How can we get over the border? We NEED a car when we are in Windsor...where can we get a rental? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

What about taking a shuttle service from the airport over the border to your car rental company of choice in Windsor? I know there are several companies that provide transport from DTW into Windsor. You'd then do the same thing again on your way back.

I know of two from London that go to Detroit through Windsor daily.

Thanks! I called abouttown and they actually drop off in windsor at the hotel that we are actually booked at! So we booked with them!
