Do you think WDW will offer free dining in 2009

Do you think WDW will offer free dining in September 2009. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will.

I am hope so just returned from a few weeks ago and would love to return next fall during the free dining. My mouth is watering right now thinking about all of that free food.

I hope they do! We are going for free DDP in 2008, and I am hoping to book bounceback free DDP while there for 2009! :)

Question - if someone were to book a package during the free dining period, but BEFORE free dining was announced or offered, do they still get the free dining?

For example, if in November we booked a trip for Sept 09 and in April they offered the free dining again, would we qualify, or is it only for packages booked after they officially offer it?

I think so. Unfortunately the economy is only getting worse, not better, so Disney will have to offer good incentives to entice people to travel. I know the foreign crowd remains relatively unaffected, but US visitors are their bread and butter.

My understanding is that you'd have to hear about/search out and call to apply a code to your ressie.

Sometimes the code doesn't work b/c your resort doesn't have any space/doesn't offer that code. What you can do then is see if that code would apply to any other resort. You could then apply the code to the new resort ressie and get the free dining.

Like for example, say the public code comes out May 1st. You hear about it on May 15th and call. Your ressie is at WL. WL had only 50 rooms available for the free DDP. All are booked. BUT....AKL has a room available for the free DDP. You could ask to be moved and use that code for that room.

You would be ok. We booked a room only reservation months before the free dining was announced. I just called back and added the dining. I was even told by CM's that if we booked the dining package, all they would do is credit that back to us and add the free dining.

It is usually only ever offered for August/Sept travel dates with an announcement the beginning of April

The "free dining" offer for 2008 has already been announced and is currently being booked. If you check in before September 20 you can extend it to a stay past that date.

The public free dining offer generally opens in April for bookings at the end of August through most of September. It has never been offered for dates outside of August and September (it did close on October 4 once)

I'm hoping to see in back in 2009 since we are planning on going then and it would definitely help our budget.

we are going in Sept this year, Free Dining, our third free dining, I am hoping to book 2 rooms for bounceback 2009, one for me and one for my mom..........
