tipping question

We are driving to the Port and I was just wondering when you drop your bags off at the terminal do you carry them in yourself or does someone take them for you? And if so, how much is it costumary to tip the person?

And, my DS is so looking forward to getting 'room service' for some late night snacks......... how much is it customary to tip for room service, say for something along the line of sandwiches or pizza?

I definitely tip the porters who take the bags and those who help get your bags at the end of the trip. I tip $1-$2 per bag on both ends.

For room service, I tip anywhere from $2-$5 depending on what they are bringing. :)

For bags, I usually tip $1 per bag plus $1 (i.e. $5 for four bags).

For room service, I go with $2 for the first person and $1 per person (or per entree) after that. $1 if we've just ordered coffee.

I was thinking about how much tips for room service should be as well so what I am doing is stocking up on 2$ bills everytime I go to the bank I ask if they have any.. sometimes they do sometimes they don't.
