I would have liked to have taken more pictures, but the weather wasn't really cooperating-- we were all huddled under Steve's awning...and later on we thought to bring our Gator canopy over. It was great meeting everyone, can't wait till we do it again on July 4th. Loved the 900 loop, it was our first time in it. The kids liked being close to the Meadows Trading Post.

The 900 loop is our favorite. Got put in there our 2nd trip to the fort and always prefer it. Anything in the 911 area is fine with me.

The MDGG looked like great fun. Imagine if BigDisneyDaddy and I would have been able to come how it would have shaped things. Our trip to Spirit of the Suwannee in Live Oak, FL was a blast. We had 37 people in our group. We all took turns cooking each meal. My dinner was Sunday night and I made hard and soft tacos which turned out pretty good if I say so myself.

It wasn't cold...just the rain kept coming and going. It was great placing the names with the faces. It was also great meeting Mrs. Gus and her sidekick--didn't start chatting with her till the end of the evening. It was also nice meeting Dean and Monica who were across from us. It was great because a bunch of us --Auburn Jen, Big Kahuna, Dean and Monica, Steve and Lisa were all near each other. I also enjoyed chatting with Terry01 and Debbie too! It is hard remembering everyone's names....should have brought sticky name stickers....next time.

We have ressies for June 30th thru July 7th and then Thanksgiving. I cooked most of it at home and then cut up the lettuce, tomato and cheese Sunday night. Thankfully all went well and nothing was dropped.

We are here at FW now... we didn't arrive until Sunday late afternoon...so we missed all of the action at MDGG! :( But we're having a great time now...the weather has been GREAT!! It's warm during the day...but soooo nice in the evenings. Perfect for Kungaloosh and golf cart rides! :thumbsup2 Need to find BDR and show off our shirts. After looking at the pics, I think I waved at Mrs Gatordad on Sunday. I've seen several Gator carts this week, so I didn't realize it was her. LOTS of folks pulled out Sunday (edit, most folks pulled out on Monday) and the campground has been pretty quiet....LOTS of empty sites.

We're in 1623 with our color changing Mickey lamp post if anyone wants to stop by for a beer! We're in the back of the loop and its WAY too quiet back here. I'll think we'll try for 900 next time too.

Sunday evening was a lot of fun and the Fort was FULL of people looping, socializing, kungaloosh, beer...AND I didn't witness anything get out of hand...it was lots of fun. Then came Monday and the Fort is dead! :(

We're enjoying a slower pace at the Fort this week. I'm really surprised at how many open spaces there are. I've never witnessed it this way.

Hey Sonya, I bet that this is just the beginning of what will probably turn out to be a huge slowdown at the Fort. Not the best time considering all the money they're pouring into it (which means we'll probably have to wait another 15 years for an update).

I remember how dead it was after 9/11, for probably a good year and a half or so. We went the Thanksgiving right after 9/11, and the place was so empty it was crazy. And this was at Thanksgiving, the majority of the cabins were empty and a lot of the campsites as well. Was kind of spooky to see it that way :/

I don't want to ruin all of Rog's post when he gets back but I will say that they are having a great time. He was a little suprised at how well Mrs. Rog and the kids did. He said that he put a lot of effort into making them all enjoy the tent camping and it paid off.

And more of pretty much the same....we stayed close to NTSAMMY and PPix for most of the night apparently, and would occassionally spill beer on the photos just to keep them in the loop!!! The rumple was good, beer was better, people were unbelievable!!!!!! This was the most fun I had doing basicly nothing in a very, VERY long time. You guys were great company, and we all come from extremely different backgrounds and walks of life......we all seemed to click pretty nicely.....

Meeting Gatordad and his family were one the highlights of my trip, these are real people with unreal personalities!!! Although Pete has always tried to seem like the grumpy tough guy who is careless and two track minded for beer and gators here on the boards....he is very laid back, intelligent, and a loving father. If any of you guys ever get the chance to get to know this guy and his family...JUMP at the chance...you'll be a better person for having met them.

LOL...no, not at all. To be honest...EVERYONE I met on this trip were just GOOD, DOWN TO EARTH PEOPLE!!! I spent more time with the GatorGang, Gus, Addie and Mike (MrLisa8200) than most others, but everyone we met, we really enjoyed.
