View Full Version : Brown Derby on Deluxe DDP?

The little lady and I booked the free dining in Sept. and upgraded to Deluxe, and right now have reserved the Brown Derbs for lunch while at MGM. From what I gather, the reviews of the Derbs are mixed--should we cancel it and go somewhere else? I ate at Brown Derbs about 14 years ago (when I was 13) and remember thinking it was nice but nothing all that fancy. So, basically my question: is it worth the 2 credits or should we go somewhere else?

We have booked:
Jiko (dinner)
Calif Grill (dinner)
F Fish (dinner)
Artist Point (dinner)
Yak Yeti (lunch)
Kona Cafe (breakfast)

On our last trip (july 2007) we ate at Calif Grill and Le Cellier.

I would go to Narcosee's.....Surf n Turf....yummo....:goodvibes

While the Brown Derby is good.....it is my least favorite 2TS...in fact....I don't think it is worth 2 TS. Better off paying for 1 meal and save your credits if you go.

We just enjoyed Brown Derby for lunch last week on the deluxe plan. Although we originally planned to pay out of pocket for that meal, we had changed some plans and had credits to use.

Our lunch was excellent and my DH said the dessert alone made it worth using two entitlements.:rotfl:

Yumm you'll love Kona! I recommend the Prime Rib there.

well we are going to kona for breakfast. maybe i will get the prime rib though, nothing like "steak and eggs" for breakfast though, right!

since we've already been to calif grill before (loved it), is it worth it to switch that for yachtsman or narcoosees? we haven't been to those.

Last trip we went to HBD for lunch and I paid OOP. All I wanted was the Cobb Salad and a couple of martinis, which aren't covered by the plan anyway.

If it were me I would book another TS dinner at another signature restaurant. I know I've always wanted to try Citricos. Then there is Yachtsman Steakhouse and Narcossees that are not on your list yet. I would even go to someplace twice (like CA Grill) and get something else off the menu that struck my fancy before I'd use 2 TS credits at HBD for lunch.
