College Exam

I am going to go to college this year.(08-09) I was wondering if any colleges require you to get a physical exam? I have heard this on College Board.com. So I was wondering if anyone had to do one to go into college? Please Help!:)

It is required only if you are doing a sport in college.

It probably depends on the college and what major you are going in to. I doubt you have to get one to be accepted but when I transferred to Western Connecticut State University I had to have a physical in order to register for classes.

Many institutions will require you to fill out a health form, in which you'll have to meet with a doctor and have them sign it (so it's official). These types of forms are more common for institutions in which you'll live on campus or that have any required immunizations (i.e. mumps and measles) Most community colleges, however, do not require these forms.

I agree.

I think especially if you're living in a dorm, you will need to have a doctor fill out a health form, and usually the easiest way to get this done is to have a physical.

When I started college back in 2001 I had to have a TB test to live in the dorms.
