? about applying codes/discounts to existing ressies

I have existing ressies at ASMo for early August with a 10% AAA discount. I'm hoping that a better code or discount will become available soon. Assuming that does happen, how do I get the new discount applied to my existing ressie? If it's a code, I assume that I can just call and ask them to apply to code to my ressie, right? If it's a discount, do I do the same or do I have to make a new ressie and start from scratch. Of course, I'm assuming that ASMo is completely booked for early August and there will be no rooms available if I go this route, hence, no discount.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You will have to book a new ressie with the code and then cancel the old. Don't cancel the old ressie until after you have a booking number for the new ressie.

I just today changed my reservation using the new dc code. I didn't have to rebook I just changed my existing reservation and saved $700..............This was at the BWI....
