Hi there

Been away a long time, but thats becausee I can't bear all the Disney talk if I'm not going!

We are planning our second trip to The Magic Land in Sept this year. Only the 2 of us. Last time we rented our friends villa for 2 weeks but there was 5 of us.

Looking at booking with Virgin and don't want to stay onsite. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay please?

The Marriott Village at LBV looks OK to me - the one where they have Fairfield Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Springhill Suites. Any views on these or are there better/nicer places to stay?

Not bothered where we stay - we will have a car, so transport isn't a problem.

Hope someone can help - it always gives me a headache choosing where to stay!

Thank You

I have been looking at the Regal Sun which is over the road from downtown disney - it has had a refurb very recently and they have their own website too which has a lot of photos. Good location for lots of restaurants:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

What dates and what budget?
I have just priced Regal Sun up for someone in Oct for £36/night, half the price of what it is direct. Priced it up a few days ago for someone in August and it was under £30/night a bargain for somewhere thats just spent $25million on a refurb and in walking distance to DTD.
Let me know I will have a look whats about.

We have stayed at the Springhill Suites in the Marriott Village & they were good,we stayed about 10 days after 9/11 so everything was quiet but certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Stayed at the Comfort Inn LBV a few times & again it was ok for cheap & cheerful.Staybridge is good but that depends on your budget, really the only one we wouldn't go back to is the Sunnspree:eek:

Expensive time unfortunately, peak of US holidays.
£330 less 10% with code 170470 down to £297 less 10% booking thru Quidco.com £267 = approx £38/night but there is a $10+tax/night resort fee payable locally so add another £47 on for the week.
Still better than £487(inclusive) direct with the hotel
www.hotelopia.co.uk
Code adn cashback works with all hotels on their site.

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn LBV and are staying there again in July. It's a nice hotel and clean with a Golden Corral and Bahama Breeze just at the back, within walking distance. The hotel provides a free breakfast as well with cereal, toast, make your own waffles, fruit, yoghurts, bagels, and fresh fruit.
Make sure you state that you want the one at LBV as there is another hotel up International drive.

Thanks for this - this is also one that is in the brochure that we were considering. Glad to hear someone elses views on it.

Fairfield Inn was the one that I was looking at - because of the complimentary breakfast - just makes things easier in the mornings knowing that your breakfast is ready and waiting for you, at no extra cost! It must be nice if your heading back there this summer!

Thanks everyone - can't book directly with the hotel as we have virgin holiday vouchers to use up.

We've booked the Fairfield Inn, LBV. Booked with VH and vouchers too.

Stayed here last year for a few nights, can't fault the hotel or location.
