Havent set anything in concrete yet as it was a last minute decision. I have to meet with Corporate Clients from Carlisle area on the 12th then retraining one of my District Managers and some of our Contractors around 6 pm and that will be somewhere around Camp HIll areas, have to find a conference room yet...( I normally leave that part up to the secretary..so no idea on where yet) Then headed Northward for a much needed hug...

if you dont mind dining alone ... taking your time in smelling the coffee and just basically getting mesmerized with the castle then you will enjoy a solo... a few of my friends tinks I am crazy to be enjoying my solo trips.. bit even prior tom Dising I saw myself going solo and when I get home I end up having so many friends... and now with the boards... you get to pick and choice when you want to have company and when you want to be on your own!! oops I wasn't paying close attention! This was supposed to be in answer to the question about the Yuletide tour....

I did that tour last year and really enjoyed it excpet for one thing. It was supposed to be really nice that day and everyone was in light shirts and sweaters. It turned out to very very cold and windy and we all suffered. So so cold. So be sure to tuck a jacket into your bag even if it is supposed to be warm! The tour though was great and I have taken other tours and thought this one compared favorably. I had a good time, was entertained, and learned a lot about the parks and how they set them up for Christmas, as well as Christmas practices all over the world. Very nice and I am glad I took it.

Guests take guided tours to theme parks and resort hotels, learning stories about the themes of the Yuletide decorations and how Disney elves transform the parks and hotels into an annual winter wonderland. Disney's Yuletide Fantasy is open to ages 16 and older.

The program is $69 per person, NO theme park admission required.

And Bill ... I just ordered my second night of tickets for MVMCP. I am going on Dec 2nd and Dec 12th. The first day we are spending all our time in the Adventure/Frontierland/Liberty Square area and have ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern. The second day is our Fantasyland day when we, you guessed it, will be in Fantasyland most of the day. We are having ADR for breakfast AND dinner in the castle with Cinderella, DD has an app't at Bibbitti Bobbitti Boutique. Can't wait to see what they are going to do with the castle this year !!!!!

Ok.. I got back in this morning at 1AM... flight was delayed ... and after a good morning sleep... I am ready to plan for next trip.. no room to be sulking and missing Mouseland.... I had an awesome time meeting so many Disers last week... The weather was so..so.. the Parks was almost dead at times :eek: :rolleyes1 :woohoo: and the food was free... so Yup it was a great vacation... this is the last recollection I have of the park...

yesterday about this time 2ish... (since I had ADR at the Wave at 12:15PM.... finishing uploading what little number of pics I have in my cell.. lost camera on Tuesday the beginning of my vaca and did not bother to replay it so bear with my cell pics...)

Years ago, I was active with an online singles group in Dallas, TX. We'd setup various group social activities such as meetups at restaurants. Sometimes, 3 or 4 would show, then other times a dozen or more, regardless of who said they'd be there. Based on my experiences back then, I chose 6.

Hey stranger :) and I think you will like PoP, rooms of course are smaller than Riverside (gosh my all time fav moderate resort now...lol) but the layout is smaller once you get used to it it is just a shirt distance to the bus stop from nomatter what room you get...

I have stayed Value (ASMu and Pop) and Deluxe (BWI and BCI). I prefer POR and POFQ to either one. . .just my humble opinion. . .lol.

I am playing around with the idea, while I am not much into the gambling end of it, I love the atmosphere of the casinos and of course love the DisGroup..I have forgotten which weekend it was but if everything cooperates(time, weather, money) I plan on showing up, trying to get a friend to come with me that loves the casinos and gambling so we shall see :)

Just go to a couple of meets that fit into your schedule, then. Not only is it NOT necessary to attend all the meets...it's not even POSSIBLE!

I want to meet the owners of all the websites and podcasters and book authors, so the MegaMouseMeet on Saturday, 12/13 from 11a-1p is important to me. Almost every meet is free. Most of the meets just involve being at a certain place at a certain time, and buying a drink/riding a ride/viewing an attraction with a bunch of like-minded lunatics. The meets are sponsored by different groups and websites, and even if you're not very active in the website or listen to the podcast very frequently, you'll be welcome.

The meets that aren't free are mostly all booked up now anyway. MegaMouseMeet is free. Podfest is free. The Epcot Tree Lighting meet in honor of Bob Varley (Bawb) is free. Look at the list at http://www.mousefest.org/meets2008_start.php. If a meet requires RSVP or payment, it will tell you that. Otherwise, the meets are free, and do NOT require registration for Mousefest nor RSVPing for the particular meet.

I STRONGLY recommend Mousefest 101 meet at the Contemporary resort on Thursday, Dec. 11th, to give you a little orientation about Mousefest. It'll make you much more comfortable, and give you a headstart meeting other newbies to the Mousefest experience.

I was planning my first solo trip (Singles Trip to WDW in 2009 thread) next year. My DS and I were planning a Dec trip. However, my DS told me yesterday that because his boss at work broke his ankle, he won't be able to go. :(

So, rather than cancel the whole thing, I decided to do my first solo to WDW. 12/6-12/12 and staying at CSR.

I am still hoping to worm my way into Le Cellier. Perhaps hanging on some stranger's leg might work. Anyone doing interesting meals or tours that would like some company? Let me know!

Well, if you are staying at Pop we may be on same ME bus....I know Johnfish gets in at same time but he is planning on renting car at airport and for my son its just not Disney unless he does the ME going in :) I will try to remember and attach a green Mickey to something :):)

he didn't listen to me when I told him to book from 6-13. His son wanted to stay at port orleans and he used dvc points to stay book there. My newphew is in school plays and can't miss and brother can't cancel. I don't want to stay another week so I am going to try and see if anyone want to buy the reservation. If not I will be solo

I would say that it was probably in the mid to high 60's this afternoon. Of course it isn't exactly pool weather, but for walking around the parks, it is perfect for me.

I just got back from a great trip!

One day of rain - with about 3 hours of torrential rain - and one very
cold day - well at least for this California guy. It was much busier
than I was used to - but my first trip was Sept. 2007 and the parks
were empty.

But all my expectations were met - the Christmas decorations were
beautiful (I resort hopped on my first day to see just about everything)
- the food was great - the Hoop Dee Doo was wonderful with the
Christmas music - I saw all the shows I wanted to see and I loved the
Candlelight Processional - the highlight of the trip!

On the flight back I sat next to the guy who narrated the show.
Kinda cool.

Now back to the real world grind as a stagehand.....

Please, please, please, no fog delay.:hourglass We've been having dense fog many mornings over the past week or so, which has been delaying flights. I gave myself nearly a 4-hour gap to catch the connection out of DFW to MCO, just in case.

This is my weekend to pack, make final eating and park plans and generally get myself overwhelmed. Am I the only one who loathes packing? So far all I've done is made lists, no actual packing.

I am in the single digit countdown. I get in at a ridiculous hour Friday night, but am going to force myself to get up early so I can show up at the pre Megamouse NOT looking like I've been hit by a tram. I'll also have the 3 hour time difference not in my favor. Look for me clutching a cup of coffee, and poke me occasionally to make sure I'm up. I really don't want to miss anything.:wizard:
