Well, I managed to eventually make it through the registration pages and into my room. (OMG, am I weird looking! And apparently have terrible taste in furniture to boot.)

I was only able to walk around inside the room and move the furniture a bit. Could not sit down or talk, and I have no idea what my name/number is.

Finally got my avatar to walk out the door -- where he promptly vanished, leaving me to stare at an empty room! I waited for awhile to see if another setting would load, but to no avail. Now I am trying to reload (unsuccessfully so far).

ETA: OK, I'm back in my room. The furniture has repositioned itself back to where it was before I moved it, however.

1. Can you change clothes?
2. All i can do it walk around and when I talk, nothing comes out.

Character name for you would be Mnementh, and user will be the name you sign in with .. people probably won't see that name

Well, in VMK, the Day 1 badge was after beta testing ended. That was for the people that either were registered or registered the first live day.

If they would do that in VFK, that may be what they do. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. ;)

Just keep trying folks...I just got past to the next part where I log in...their servers are overloaded, so you just need to be patient...since it's beta and all.

Use your back arrow key when you get the error, it helps speed things up so you can try to get further in the login process.

I signed up for Beta first thing but I can't get through the registration phase!

I signed up all three of my VMK names, just in case...FeyDolphy, Dolphairy, ElvenMagic(boy).

The more I hear about VFK, the more I think I will actually like it. I think that they have had a very short time to get this up and running so I'm willing to be patient.

Thanks, this animated screenshot really helps...it shows that my "bars" aren't loading at all...the screen just shows up. I am trying F5 to see if that will work...anyone else having the same experience?

Having gone through VMK's beta, this happens frequently. That's the nature of beta testing. They may be resetting servers again. Or, they may have taken the site down to try to fix the long time registration issues.

Well I got as far as the green loading beta ..sat there for 30 mis and realized that the loading page wasn't loading to the room.. I never got it.. I tried refreshing a few times and nothing so go off and tried to log back in and now all I just keep the Cannot disply this page again!

I don't know this is so bad... maybe I will give it a try a liitle later...since i have only been trying now for 3 hours to get in! :sad1:

Yep all the items are called pink couch for now - another bug. And I don't
think you're supposed to be able to move the rock around.

Also did this happen to anyone else? When I exited my house and went
back in, my 3 pieces of furni were gone :(

Yeah they are probably ready to add some stuff, reset the servers, squash
some bugs, and get rid of some lag. It'll probably be down for a long time but
at this time 1-2 weeks from now it will be a lot better.

Are you as excited about the new Virtual Family Kingdom as much as we are?

Well some great news! The Kingdom opens today! Our amazing world really makes history come alive, and today is the day we start rolling out this historic event! The best part is, that you are about to be a part of the legend!

We are thrilled to have over 50,000 pre-registrations for the beta program, however we never anticipated that we would start our beta program with this many beta testers. There are just so many friends both new and old that we are not really sure how our servers will hold up.

Because of this we are going to be opening with just a basic set of features. Our main goal is to keep the servers up. We will be rolling out new features all day, everyday over the next several days. We will announce when new features are available both in the game and with an e-mail update each day to keep you informed.

Because we started this project only 7 weeks ago, everyone knows this is a real beta, in fact as far as we know this is the largest real beta ever attempted with a new virtual world, and it is only possible because of you! We are all going to make history together.

Literally thousands have expressed concerns about missing the launch of some of the exciting new features of Virtual Family Kingdom, so we have planned to start introducing the new mini games on Saturday, when no one has to miss out.

So again, to all our friends, welcome! Let's get started exploring all the historical settings in our new world and begin beta testing!

Plus, we have an amazing surprise for you! Here's a hint, once you login you will definitely want to find the staff and visit with them.

That's because you logged on the 30 seconds it wasn't down, and then
it went down when you got to that page, not allowing it to load.

It keeps going up for about 10 seconds and then right back down. I'm trying
so hard to get on (this is my first game I'm beta testing) but it always
goes down right after I enter in my username and password.

I could only get on 3 hours ago. My furniture disappeared when I re-entered
my room, when I talked it did not show up, I could not see any other people,
I got stuck on top of buildings, I couldn't see my own name because it was
so buggy, and I logged off because a huge wave of lag made my character walk
in place forever and I could never sign on since.

So, to make a long story short, no it was just as buggy. XD

Haha I just got stuck on the building near Merlin's.

I do not mind the room angle. I am just hoping that the graphics will become a bit more advanced with animation. For instance, that room I took the pic of that has the stairs to the building.... I would love to see the water fountain be animated.

For now I am all alone, and I type words in they do not show.

So this is true beta. Kind of fun to be a part of it and see how the game matures with time!

I am also excited to see the new things, and what becomes "rare" over time.

The sign in page takes forever to load, sometimes never even finishes. I think instead of them adding things they should fix the server so everyone can get on.

I think you just have to be very, very patient... realizing that the site continues to go down and come back up... It's kinda the luck of the draw if you can get in there while the site is up! :)

Just keep refreshing and refreshing and refreshing....

If you don't have the patience for that, you'd probably be better off waiting for a day or two or maybe even a week or two while the glitches are worked out.

I do not mind the room angle. I am just hoping that the graphics will become a bit more advanced with animation. For instance, that room I took the pic of that has the stairs to the building.... I would love to see the water fountain be animated.

For now I am all alone, and I type words in they do not show.

So this is true beta. Kind of fun to be a part of it and see how the game matures with time!

I am also excited to see the new things, and what becomes "rare" over time.

Sorry but if you're on the waiting list you'll have to wait until the game
opens after beta testing, I forget when that is but it's sometime in June
or July.

Well, I haven't gotten on yet, but I'm very excited to be in the beta phase of this new game where so many of our friends will be able to continue their friendships!! The fact that we will see some familiar hosts is SO much more than icing on the cake!!

Ok I gave up for an hour..turned computer back on and then tried again.
at first I couldn't get in... then I finally got the main page.
But wasn't sure which one to click on cause i got as far the green loading screen where said Beta 1a..but it wouldn't come as i said afte 30 mins.

So when I was able to get back on the main page..like I said I wasn't sre which one to click on registered or log in. So i thought I would try log in?
But all it does is load up is ask me for my username and password
I give it to them and then nothing? just keeps coming to that????

if by chance you got part way through the registation it can say that. I got my hubby registered but did not get on. So I went to register again said it was already taken so I just clicked sgn in now and it worked.

I never received anything from VFK either but I don't think you need to. Ionly signed up last night and I got on. You have to just keep going back and putting info back in and eventually the paid will load .. I must have done that at least 25 times before it loaded :headache:

It's not a game yet. All you can do is go walkabout in a few rooms. Still, my avatar had a shadow so that was rather cool. Some of the artwork looks promising so as features are added, I think it may turn out to be a very nice game. For those comparing it to VMK, this is the first day of beta. You were in the full blow VMK so it isn't fair to judge it by those standards. VMK Beta had all sorts of issues as will this game. There will be lag, crashes, bugs (when you exit the Blacksmith room you end up on the roof) so try to be patient.

Still trying to finish registration. I keep putting in email and username but it just keeps taking me to "this page can't be found" or right back to the same page. Very frustrating.
