DH and I had wonderful meals at the Brown Derby & California Grill earlier this month. We had spent a week at Vero Beach, then two nights at WDW.

Brown Derby - we both had a regular salad (not Cobb) followed by the tuna for DH and halibut for me. Both were excellent. The hailbut was very thick (2 inches?) and was cooked perfectly. For dessert, it was creme brulee for me and the banana toffee tower for DH. Both were good, but that banana toffee tower is absolutely the best. We both think this restaurant is a hidden gem.

California Grill - It's been our tradition for several years now to end our vacation with dinner here - we were not disappointed. Our reservation was for 6 - we arrived a bit early and were seated almost immediately. We started with the three cheese flatbread with pesto and sundried tomatoes - just love it. I had eaten fish for a week and tonight I wanted beef!! So, it was the filet for me and sushi for DH. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly (or not cooked for sushi!!) and service was excellent. We skipped dessert here - they stopped making individual souffles several years ago and it nothing else appealed to us.

Wonderful food, great service... when can we go back???

Brown Derby - ..... We both think this restaurant is a hidden gem.

Hmmm... have to disagree that it's a "hidden" gem... think a lot of people know about BD and think highly of it!

We have make California Grill our perennial favor too. As a matter of fact, we will dine at CG twice within the week of 7/20.

Me either! But that's why we go for lunch and just order Cobb Salad. But I'm thinking about trying the Grapefruit Cake this time. May become another favorite!

Thanks for the reviews. We keep reading great things about California Grill that we may have to try it on a future trip (unfortunately, we did not think highly of BD--had a bad meal and DH hated the grapefruit cake).
