Just a quick post to share what I've been up to!

A couple of simple beaded Mickey necklaces! (Notice the lime green??? :goodvibes ) I'm going to work on some smaller Mickey heads so that I can add more to a necklace. And make some earrings. :goodvibes

And here's a little castle necklace that I made a while back. I love making these!

The castle is so small! It's right at 3/4" tall! lol

As always, I can't wait to hear what you think! :wizard:

They are very pretty. Are they done freehand or from a book? I would be interested in getting some supplies when i go to Florida in July but at the moment i only do cross stitch. How easy are they to do? Thanks

Those are so adorable. I picked up some beads and wire at Michael's to give it a try. I'm sure I bought the wrong wire but we'll see what happens.

I bought 24 gauge beading wire which seems to be too thick. It threads through the beads fine (I bought glass seed beads and was trying the castle), it's just very difficult to line up the rows, I end up with too much wire showing on the ends.
I really hate that they have nobody to help you out in the craft stores. Oh well, now that I have a stash of beads I'll just have to search for a thinner wire that still has some bend to it.

after i wrote to you i was able to do the mickey heads...i used fishing line..lol...i havent tried to do the castle yet, i am gonna go look for some beads tomorrow. Thanks for your help, i even tried searching the internet for some tips on how to do these but no help. I guess we are gonna have to do some major trial and error.

I should have some free time this weekend or next, once I get them down, I should be able to post a how-to :) 24 Guage wire is just about right. i've done the mickey heads before and it gives them a sturdier feel :)
