Just back from the 4nt double dip.

Weather at CC was gorgeous both days. Lunch was a little different at CC each day.

They have done away with the staggered times for main and late seating. Now it's 5:45 and 8:15 for the dinner times. Shows at 6:15 and 8:30. Also, really didn't like Toy Story the Musical. For those who have seen it, I found the Sid character really loud and offensive, more so than he was in the movie. I thought he ruined the show. My son was scared and wanted to leave. I saw several people leave actually. The costumes were really clever, just disappointed with the way it was presented.

Leslie at the future cruise desk claimed she knew nothing about future itineraries.

If anyone has any specific questions, feel free to ask.

Just back also. I enjoyed Toy Story but thought the Buzz flight scenes could have been better produced. I can see how the Sid character could scare kids but as an adult w/o kids at the show I found the Sid actor delightful. She played Cruela the night before and enjoy that performance also. We had a great cruise.

They had the basic hot dogs and hamburgers both days, but there was some variation with pork and chicken dishes. The desserts were a bit different. Also some variations on the side dishes. I don't know that I could name them. They had an island theme to them. I really liked the island rice I think it was called. But the menus were slightly varied. Soft serve ice cream and fresh fruit both days also.

What was your dining rotation? And did you have early or late seating?

Early seating. Rotation was APPT.

Where was your room?

We are going on the DD that leaves Sunday. We had to reserve Palo the first night as it was the only one available. We're hoping A or P is on the first night so we don't miss out on Tritons (our favorite). Our room is 6626 (aft).

We were in 2110. In my opinion, aft is the best place to be. Near aft elevators, right up to deck 9, close to PC and AP. We get the same cabin every cruise. We didn't do Palo this cruise.

What about drees up Night? Did you see many men wearing Jackets?

We will be sailing on August 31st and although there are many post about this topic at the forums, I would like to hear a first hand opinion about it.

We will be travelling from Madrid, Spain and would hate to have to pack a jacket just for one night.

I thank you in advance

Dennis

Thanks! And I'm finding the menu changes at CC intriguing and tasty-sounding. Glad the weather cooperated for y'all!

I would say a jacket at dinner is absolutely not necessary. It seemed very casual. Those in jackets I would say were in the minority.

We did the double dip May 11 - 15. It seemed to me that the food at CC was left overs from Pirate night. I know I had the same Ceasar Salad the night before and some of the spicy stuff was from Pirate night. I think it's just a matter of what is left over from the night before...sorry to say. It was all great though. The first stop, I had Mahi-Mahi. I'm sure they didn't just make that for lunch.

My DD3.5 loved Toy Story, although she wanted to leave at first too, but then she was really into it.

I posted on the other thread about the casualness of dinner on the Wonder. Dennis, I wouldn't worry about bringing a jacket. Even on formal night on the Magic, you don't always see jackets. They won't turn you down, so I wouldn't bother. Have fun!!

Hey, we live pretty close. I'm from the Massillon area.

I didn't really notice what was on the Pirate night buffet, but you could be right. It was still pretty good though.

I much preferred Hercules over Toy Story. Hercules was my favorite show followed by Golden Mickeys and Disney Dreams.

What did you think of the illusionist? He was good, but a little boring I thought.

Hey neighbor! We missed the illusionist. I have a 9 mo old too and didn't think they'd sit through it. We also missed Disney Dreams. DD loved the Golden Mickeys too. If it were up to me, I'd skip the shows. We've seen them a couple of times aside from Toy Story.

If there's a next time, I think we'll skip the shows too.

We wanted to go to the movie theater, but the show times never seemed to coincide with our schedule.

I think we'll try some of the other things going on in the evening, like maybe the karaoke or just going to the adult pool.

My kids love the clubs, so they're set for the evening.

If you skip the shows, and have late seating, you can pretty much "own Decks 9 and 10!!" Check out pics below from a past cruise! We love to try to get as many pics of empty decks as we can.

Definitely leave the jacket at home! I am always one for following the dress code but people were sooo casual that I even let my DH wear shorts and sandal the last night:)

Does anyone know if this new dining schedule will remain the same? Or will they go back to staggered dining?
