I was all set to put my YoD pins, bag and binder on Ebay. But stopped at the final moment. Not sure what I would even get ($), but it was a temptation.
I'm pushing towards 1,100 pins. How many pins do I REALLY need?
Anyone else almost sell or sell pins and regret doing or not doing it?

1100 pins!? And you started collecting AFTER I did! I've definitely slowed down my acquisition of pins in the past few months - amazing how much money I've saved :). I've been wondering lately what to do with all our pins. I've started wearing holiday pins the last few weeks - St. Patrick's Day & Easter. I'll have to think of what pin I can wear tomorrow :).

I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SELLING MY MICKEY FOR PRESIDENT AND INAGURATION PIN - THINKING THOSE TWO WOULD PROBABLY PULL IN A HIGH PRICE ON ONE OF THOSE AUCTION SITES.
I HAVE A PROJECT THAT I AM WORKING ON AND THOUGHT THAT WOULD GIVE ME THE MONEY FOR THE PROJECT.
I TOOK A LOOK AT THE PINS AND REALIZED THAT I TRULY LIKED THEM, AND THOUGHT I REALLY NEEDED TO KEEP THEM FOR NOW.
ALMOST -- BUT DECIDED NOT TO DO IT --- YET.

I have found the answer to the scientific question of "How many pins do I need?"
The answer is: MORE
That is as long as you are still enjoying them which we are!

Pins are 'kinda' like money, can you ever have enough? My biggest problem right now is how to display all the one's I'd like to. I would love some suggestions, feel free to include photos, love to see everyone's collections and how they display them.
As long as you're having fun, that's what life's about...enjoy!

I really want to slow down, and save some of this money I'm spending, but every time I make some progress, some great new pins come out!!! Since I'm not going to frame and display them, and it's kind of silly to take your keeper collection to a pin trading meet just to show off, and yet what's the point of having them if no one ever gets to ooh and ahh over them, sometimes I just wonder what is this all about. No answers---just questions!!
So, for now, I have been thinking, maybe I would just try to sell some of my "lanyard traders" on e***--new traders might be interested in acquiring them, and even if I just get some of my money back, they're not just sitting in my books collecting dust.
