Paul and I will be at WDW for 3 days (and then we have a Disney cruise-4 days)
starting on the 27th of November (Thanksgiving)
And we'd love to meet up with any fellow DIS members
who will be around at Turkey time.

Last time we stayed there we were on the Concierge Level -
got so pampered - not this time - hope we're not going to get "the bends". :lmao:

But ya know - I think next time we'll try the Poly - it's the only one on the monorail
that really interests me. For some reason I can't stand the GF.
But we like Citrico in the GF.

My DP always wants to stay at the Poly, and it's a lovely resort, but for some reason, it just doesn't do it for me. :confused3 Maybe we'll stay there one day, but so far we pretty much stick to DVC places.

The Polynesian is by far the greatest, and they only choice if you want to stay on the monorail :snooty:

Of course it is!! GF = The Red Roof Inn for its looks and level of service ;)
CR = Toaster for more obvious reasons. If I had photoshop at work I'd cobble together an example.

I'm totally a Poly boy but then again that's where I did the College Program so I'm biased. :rolleyes:

We did like the Toaster - Concierge level - great contemporary room decor - nice view of the fireworks at nightpopcorn::

The Red Roof Inn didn't do it for us either - too pretentious :snooty:

Back to the topic though...

My Bday is on Turkey Day this year. So we may make a trip down that week. It will be a last minute thing - but if we decide to do it, we'll find this post and let you know.

I have to say that the alternate name "Red Roof Inn" is SO cracking me up! LOL! Never stayed there either. My favorite deluxe is the BC. (Not the villa section, the resort proper, although I do like the villas too). It's probably because it was the first Deluxe we stayed in waaaaaay long ago. It was a birthday trip I suprised my DP with. Yeah, I know TMI. :rolleyes:

May have to suprise her with a Poly stay one day soon as it is something she's always wanted to do.

How do you feel about Poly concierge versus "regular" room Poly? I've heard some folks say that's the only way they'll stay there (concierge).

Thursday tends to be the most "colorful" shall we say.

Not sure what the scene is like anywhere other than at the Adenturers Club, where it's always a great time. :thumbsup2

In other words, I've got no idea, but the possibility just scares the heck out of me. We're being told by staff and management at the club, that it's safe, but who knows if they're getting the whole story themselves?

Thursday is CM payday, and free at PI, so it's "Cast Member" night at PI. Since a very large portion of Disney CMs are gay, that pretty much makes all clubs gay clubs on Thursdays. :rotfl2:

Mannequins is always the "unofficial" gay bar at PI though :thumbsup2
