after watching the genius of photography last night( ovation tv) i realized what i should be doing if i want to get fame and glory as a photographer. one photog they featured has a team to do all his work, doesn't even hold or push the shutter on the camera( he hates holding a camera he says) has a guy to groom the snow for his shots , one guy to push the shutter, others to manipulate the scene, a woman to do all the photoshopping ( she does a ton btw) .....and he pockets $60,000 per photo and has people waiting in line for "his"( i use that term loosely) next work....no wonder , I am going about this all wrong, i need to learn to delegate!!!!.... and just pick up the ginormous check, oh wait, his accountant or someone probably does that for him as well:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

geesh Janet - get with the program! Even I have my "people". DH is my pack horse, Emily is my model. Eli (dog 1) runs from ---errr I mean in front of me to clear a path. Lily (dog 2) always plops herself down on any backdrop I may have out waiting oh so patiently for me to set my lights to get the perfect ratios. And Kylie - well Kylie runs away--- errr I mean follows Eli to make sure no one gets into my path after he clears it.

yeah - i have "people". ;)

Why I am not rich and famous already is beyond me. :confused3

Well, we do not trust them to do the laundry yet, but they do dishes, straighten up things (usually their own messes anyway), and best of all... clean the litter boxes!!! I still have to take all the trash bags out b/c I am the big strong man of the house and they are just too heavy for the ladies

Hey, if I could get my people on that program, then I'd have time for photography. Unlike the "genius" I don't happen to mind holding a camera, though a sherpa would come in handy sometimes. ;)

We've (dh and I) have been accused of the "gender specific" job assignments - like "why do I always have to empty the garbage cans?" yes, it's because you're the boy!:goodvibes And my dd's favorite is "why do I always seem to be the one doing the dusting?" -- you guessed it - you're the girl!! However, in reality they share most of the jobs together, emptying the dishwasher, running the sweeper, dusting, cleaning the basement (toys), and cleaning out the car (Wendy's bags!) I have to admit, my kids are great and they really toss in around the home and help, all except that third child. However, he is learning ( and he's only 4!);) gotta delegate slowly to that one!!!

We were blessed with three daughters and no sons, so it also seems that I am honored with the right to mow the lawn ;) I am thinking about stimulating the economy with a riding mower though. There might be some good sales this weekend.

Ha, you'll think "blessed" when those wedding bills come in. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I volunteer to do all your photoshopping.

I've got all sons. My wife does the lawn mowing.

I'm not doing any economic stimulation. Some jerks decided that my help wasn't needed.

Oh Mark, I'm sorry to hear that - seems to be going on everywhere at the moment. Our local school just annouced another round of teacher cuts -most at the higher grades, we're waiting to see the fall out of that. Good luck in the new search.:)
