Lets say we buy 150 points at the BCV and 4 years from now we decide that 150 is not quite enough for our needs.. Since the BCV will be sold out, whats our options???

There is a very active DVC resale market.

A different home resort, alternating years or trying to deal with the seven month window.

Renting points.

Rich summed it up well. The only "despair" that he has felt comes from running out of adjectives to describe his beloved OKW:) :) :) :) .

Small add-ons are rarely available on the resale market. With closing costs, they just don't make sense as a purchase through a broker. Your guide should let you know when BCV is close to selling out; at that point you could add-on via Disney. After BCV is sold out, DVC will take requests for add-ons via a waiting list; Disney acquires points back via right of first refusal during resale transactions.

*confused*

So if I have 150 points at BCV, can I purchase 30 points in 5 years at the current DCV offering (such as Animal Kingdom Villas or whatever) and bundle the 180 and use them at whatever resort I choose????

You can use the entire 180 at any resort at 7 months.

You can use only the points owned at a resort at 11 months.

In 5 years, you may find you will want (and be able) to buy another 150 at BCV to keep all of your points where you want to
stay.

Enjoy! :)
