New Pentax rebates

Pentax just announce some new rebates, good from now to July 26th. The good news is that they're pretty darn good rebates money-wise, the bad news is that you have to buy a new DSLR in order to get rebates on other equipment.

Basically, it's...

$100 off K200D or K20D
$100 off 16-45 F4, 16-50 F2.8, and/or 50-135 F2.8
$50 off AF360FGZ and/or AF540FGZ flash
$25 off BG2 and/or BG3 battery grip

There's some good savings to be had. If you picked up a K20D with the 16-50 and 50-135 lens, flash, and battery grip, that's $375 back - not too shabby. Someone on a lower budget could get the K200D and 16-45 F4 (a very highly rated lens) for pretty cheap.

Too bad you can't just use it on just the lens, a 16-50 F2.8 is next on my list...

I've sent them an email inquring about a "grace period" for recent purchasers.


Mine arrived 2 days ago - I'm happy with it regardless but would like for them to fund half of my next lens purchase... :)

Good luck with the attempt, but I really doubt you'll get them to give you a "grace period" rebate. The rebate pretty clearly says that it starts on today... so it's just like when you buy something at the supermarket then it goes on sale the next day, except that it's $100 difference instead of $1. :)

I would have loved if they had it when I bought - I could have saved $200 if I bought the 50-135 at the same time - but I'd rather pay what I did and have had it for my last WDW trip, so I'll survive. :teeth:
