you got a upgrade on the cruise portion of a land / sea package? would your resort change? For instance, if you were in a cat 10 and were upgraded to a cat 7 would you get to stay in a deluxe instead of a moderate? I realize this is far fetched but does anyone have an answer?

An upgrade on the land portion or the sea portion would not affect the other. They are separate entities as far as that goes.

Be aware upgrades are exceedingly rare, out of the thousands that sail each week on DCL you hear of them rarely. But if it does happen, then enjoy! :)
