Well, since we are almost at the year out mark and nearly ready to sign on the dotted line with Disney, I thought I would start my planning journal. :cool1:
All about us.........
My name is Lyndsey (31) and my Fiancé’s name is Lee (28) Yes he’s my toy boy :upsidedow . We live in Scotland in the U.K.
We met back February 1997 when we were both working in the local cinema part time whilst studying. It was love at first sight for me and I remember announcing to my friend (whilst on duty at the pick n mix counter) “I’m going to marry him and have his babies”. :rotfl:
Well one (on purposely) ‘arranged’ group trip to the bowling alley and a few drinks later, Lee fell into my arms and has never managed to escape. :rotfl2:
Here is a photo of us at a family wedding the summer after we met. Check out the hair :rotfl2:

A Photo a few years later at another family wedding
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/2008-05-20-1535-27-1.jpg
And this is us now
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/HPIM2291-1-1-1.jpg
Not our usual attire - I have to add :rotfl2:
Engagement story....
Well there’s not really one
I fell pregnant soon after we met (not to be recommended) so it was kind of a mutual decision to get engaged and so there was no ‘proposal’. We went to the shops together and chose the ring which had to be ordered. A few weeks later and we were in the staff room at the cinema, Lee hands me a box and say’s “Oh here’s your ring”. (He still gets teased for this overly romantic proposal, but hey, in his defence he was only young)
Heres the ring
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/ring-1.jpg
It’s just a baby diamond because it was all he could afford at the time, but the fact that it has been on my finger for the past 11 years and the sentimental value that it has would outweigh the cost even if it was a million bucks. :cloud9:
Our life over the past 11 years...
Well in February 1998 our son Connor was born
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/HPIM1965-1.jpg
Obviously not what he looked like then :rotfl:
And in October 2001 our daughter Megan was born
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/HPIM2156-1.jpg
Oviously not what she looked like then :rotfl:
In 2004 Daisy arrived
then http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/Daisy300420044-1.jpg
now http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/DAISY036-1.jpg
Here is the most recent picture that I have of us – It was taken in the Scottish Highlands 2 weeks ago on a camping trip.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/HPIM3613-1-1.jpg
Why we chose Disney......we fell in love with all things ‘Florida’ back in 2005 when we had our first taste of a Disney vacation.

Just asked my friend to be bridesmaid - well maid of honour :dance3:
She was sooooo excited that she ran up and down the hall shouting "ME?, YOU MEAN ME?, ME BE YOUR BRIDESMAID?"
then she hugged me really really tight and said "I'd love to!"
so my maid of honour or 'cheif bridesmaid as we call them here in the U.K. is Jan - We met 7 years ago when our sons were 3 years old, they were just starting nursery (playschool I think you call it in the states?)
Jan is great, she knows how to have a good time and can regularly be found at my house after a few glasses of wine singing full belt into the microphone :rotfl:
Ok time for some more detail...........
Wedding party
Bride - Lyndsey :bride:
Groom - Lee
Bestman - Scott - Lee's brother
Maid of Honour - Jan - My friend
Best boy (ringbearer 1) - Connor our son
Bridesmaid (ringbearer2) - Megan our daughter
Flowergirls x 2 - Rebecca and Emily - my cousins daughters.
Who will escort me down the Aisle? - My Mum of course - Carole
Megan and Connor will walk down the aisle together with a ring pillow each. Megan with her Dads ring and Connor with mine.
I love these but with a yellow ribbon
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/ringpillow-1.jpg
We wanted our flower girls to scatter flowers down the aisle - is this possible in the wedding pavilion?
I like how these are so simple yet pretty, I would swap the ribbon for yellow ribbon and yellow petals

Lets jusy hope I passed :confused3
Well planning has been slow up until now, I think as of tomorrow things will move along fairly fast.
I am up early tomorrow to catch a train into Glasgow to go wedding dress shopping !! I can't wait, did anyone else feel a bit nervous going dress shopping for the first time? I just keep thinking 'what if I don't find the one? 'or what happens if they are all the one :rotfl:
I am going shopping with my mum Carole, my daughter Megan and my Maid of Honour Jan. When I told Megan yesterday that we were going dress shopping she almost exploded with excitement !!!, she literally shook she was so excited :goodvibes
So tomorrow its a girls day, we are getting the early train - it will take about an hour, then into dress shop 1 appointment at 10am, next we are going to lunch, then the next appointment is at 2.30pm so I think I will try to find the shop 'confetti' - a wedding suppliers e.g stationary etc... so as I can get some nice paper and stuff to start making invitations etc.. Then we will have a mooch about some other shops, stop for dinner then grab the 8pm train home.
Sounds like a plan :thumbsup2

Hey Linz, how you doing? Hope you had a great time shopping today! What did you find that you liked?

Hi girls,
Well me and my girls headed out on the train today to Glasgow, we had a great time and I found my dress :cool1:
It is completely different from what I thought I would buy :confused3
I tried on loads of very simple and plain gowns that were quite poofy as this is what I have liked in pictures that I've seen. Anyway I narrowed it down to two, then the sales woman came into the dressingroom with another gown and said why don't you try this one, I scrunched up my nose because it was not the sort of thing I would have looked at and I didn't like it on the hanger. Anyway, I tried it on and it was THE ONE !!!
I couldn't believe it.
We went to another shop where I had an appointment and I only tried on 1 dress which was quite nice but very expensive.
A couple of hours later we went back to the first dress shop and I tried on my dress again, just to see if I still felt the same, and I did !!!
Here it is here - SORRY REMOVED SO LEE DOESNT SEE !!
I can post it for now because Lee is away to bed for the night, I will have to take it down tomorrow because he will sneek a peek - Lee I know what your like ::yes::
When I see it in the picture I kinda feel like I did when I seen it on the hanger - not what I would normally have chosen, but when I have it on and see it in the mirror I just know its the right one :lovestruc
It costs £699 which is cheap for a dress here but i seen it on bestbridalprices for $575 which is about the equivelant of £285 :faint: not much difference then !!!
If I pay to ship it over it will be another $120 but I'm not sure if I will need to pay customs on it?
Have any British brides done this and how did you find it?
Also if i ship it over I will need to find a good seamstress to make any adjustments, whereas the shop here charges £120 maximum for all alterations.
Don't know whether to buy it here or not? Its hassle over money ?? What do you think?
Anyway I'm off to bed to dream of my dress :cloud9:

Beautiful dress! Definitely find out about paying customs/duty before you order the dress online. It might turn out better and less hassle if you buy the dress in Glasgow. The other option that I have is to buy it when we are in Orlando in November and bring it home to have alterations done.
Or I suppose I caould buy it there in November, have measurements done and then leave it in the shop until May ?
Oh, I'm not sure
Can't believe customs was so expensive !!!

yay! for mum buying your dress for you! My mom is helping me pay for mine since it is so pricey :headache:
Yay! for videographer!! that is an exciting step!!!
Also, I'm dying to know what the next step is for us!! I emailed my coordinator, but my email has been fishy lately with receiving emails, and I haven't heard back from her, but I asked her what the next step was, b/c I have no idea!! Do we get some kind of contract? Do we have to sign anything? I got that huge packet of info too, and am filling it out slowly, but should I be working on anything else? Guest list for the Save the dates? Room blocks???? I'm lost. :confused3 lol.

Well where do I start :confused3
Alot has happened over the past 2 weeks..........Whilst being busy with normal life we have been trying to arrange this wedding, which is hard from the other side of the Atlantic !!!
Our co-ordinator Kristi Davis has been super and has even replied to emails from me whist she has been on vacation - all hail Kristi :worship: :rotfl2:
After choosing the dress of my dreams :cloud9: I had the drama of deciding where to buy it from ? The shop I found it it was selling it for £699 ($1399)
online from the USA it was $575 (£287)
but when I looked into shipping costs and then customs it wasn't going to be much difference in price.
I decided to make some appointments at Bridal shops in Edinburgh. So off we went again to try on dresses. Unfortunatly we could not find even 1 shop which stocked the dress :confused3 . We did however find a shop who was willing to order it in for us and because we were ordering it 'blind' (having never seen it in that shop) they would give us a 15% discount on it  so the price would now be £599 ($1198) :cool1:
So to make 100% sure that the dress I was ordering was the dress that I had tried on in Glasgow, off we went on the train to Glasgow again !!
I tried the dress on again and i sneaked a look at the tag which said was a 'Stewart' dress style **** (removed incase lee decides to be clever !!!)
Now I knew for a fact the the dress I wanted was a Mori Lee gown but that the style numbers matched ! I think it was the stores way of trying to confuse you so that you could not buy it elsewhere - cheeky
Any whoo - now I knew that the dress was most definatley a Mori Lee style ****.
Whist we were at this store we also seen a beautiful flowergirl dress which would be devine on Megan -
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/28112.jpg
I can decide whether to have the dress brought up to just past the knee or to the ankle or to keep it long?
I decided to wait until the next week and our appointment for bridesmaid dresses to see if the shop in Edinburgh stocked Megs dress.
So The next week it was back to Emma Roy Bridal in Edinburgh to look at bridesmaid dresses and order my dress.
My mum, Megan (DD), Jan (MOH) and I met at the bridal shop. A few dresses later we had found the bridesmaid dresses :dance3:
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/bridesmaiddress.jpg
Although it looks quite green in this picture it is actually buttercup yellow
Jan my MOH and Rebecca/Emily the 2 young flower girls (10 and 5) will be wearing this. The girls dresses will have straps addedd and I am trying to decide whether to have theirs brought up to just past their knee? Because it is chiffon it is quite floaty and I think would look better for their age rather than a long evening gown style - what do you think?
Also the silly headband thing will go I mean who would tie that around their bridesmaids heads :confused3 :rotfl: :rotfl:
I will use one of them to change the sash on Megans dress so that it matches the bridesmaids dress exactly.
Megan is wearing a different dress to the others so that she is a bit more special being my daughter and all I thought this would be nice for her.
So now that we had chosen all of the dresses it was time to order them - well Emma Roy Bridal did not stock them all but said they would order them in at the same time as ordering my dress and that we were to go in next week to be measured.
So last weekend we trundle off to Emma Roy again to be measured. OMG I am most definatley on a big time diet !!!!! I was not impressed with my measurements :sad2:
I ordered all of the dresses and the store owner who we had been dealing with all of the times we had been there (I thought she was just a store attendant :rolleyes1 ) said she would give me 15% discount on them all WOO HOO RESULT :cool1:
Whilst I was paying the deposit my mum was speaking to one of the store attendants and they realised that my mum worked with her sister (small world) anyway the store attendant gave my mum a card for 20% off any veil or headpiece !!!!
So there it is the enormous dress saga :rotfl:
Hello if your still reading hehe :rotfl2:

ok, so last night me and the kids picked Lee up from work, we then drove to a place called Orocco Pier to have a look at their function room. We are wanting to have an evening reception back at home after the wedding for people who couldn't make the trip this will be - Disco 7pm - 1am with a buffet at around 9pm.
Orocco pier is a hotel which overlooks the river forth just outside Edinburgh.
We got there a bit early so we grabbed a bag of chips (fries) from the chippie and sat looking over the water. We also met a very friendly seagull who helped us finish off our chips !!
When we had finished we went into the hotel and met a very excitable Irish woman called Claire who was going to show us around.
First of all she showed us the function room - it is gorgeous :lovestruc . The ceiling is covered in led lights which you can have twinkling or still and you can choose the colour they will be - very pretty indeed.
The table linens are white but they will let us put a black overlay on them and some votive candles.
One wall consists of a window and overlooks the river forth and the forth rail bridge which is lit up at night - especially for us claire told us :rotfl:
When you walk out the door beside this window it leads onto a balcony and there are steps leading down onto the beach which we have private access to !!- we had better keep an eye on certain guests, we don't want skinny dipping after they have had a few too many :lmao: :lmao:
The room also has a hard wooden floor and not a tacky carpet like some places we looked at.
Next Claire showed us the bedrooms. WOW they are lovely, the honeymoon suite had a telescope on the table at the window for you to see the view with !!
She also showed us some of the other bedrooms so that we could let our guests know what to expect. One of the rooms we walked into had just had the floor waxed !!! Claire didn't know this and her and my DD Megan almost went their length when they walked in. DS Connor however, walked in and then did the moonwalk back out - v. funny :lmao: Claire was almost wetting herself laughing !!
We then sat and had a coffee and went through the booking details with her. So we have decided to book for Fri 3rd July 2009 which will be 4 weeks after we return from Florida and should be enough time for me to make sure that I still fit into my dress :rotfl:
Here are some pictures of Orocco Pier.

Today I recieve an email from our videographer saying how he caould not cash the cheque that we sent him. Turns out that the bank of America want to charge $40 for the privilage and that it may take anywhere between 2 - 8 weeks !! His bank also told him that they think my bank may also charge me. He said we was quite happy to absorb the $40 cost but he obviously does not know what my bank are going to charge. NIGHTMARE !!
I mean whats the point of having a cheque book ??????
Any other U.K. brides have problems with this?
I emailed him asking if he could give me his account number and sort code and that I could do a direct money transfer tonight, but he sent me back the details for wiring the money. He probably doesnt want to give me his details which is fair enough as we are total strangers to him.
I gave him another option of me giving him my card details and he could take the money this way as this is what Randy Chapman has done and there was no problems with this. He's not got back to me on this yet.
I then emailed Lejeune hair and makeup as I was also going to sent her a cheque. She is going to check with her bank today to see if there will be the same problems.
Why do things have to be surrounded with issues??? Is nothing ever easy

Have you tried going to bank having your money traded for american and then asking your bank to send the check direct -- like a cashiers check?
I am sure european banks make payments to american banks everyday. Call the bank and ask how they can be of help. When I travel to I can use my credit card and the credit card company does the rate excahnge for me at no charge -- well used to be no charge.
The vendor may feel uncomfortable giving bank routeing information, again that is something your bank can ususally do for you -- they call and get information for the transfer so you never need to know his information. Hope this helps.

That sounds like a lot of extra work for you!! I'm sorry. I don't know why banks make such big deals about stuff like that. It's not like they actually do anything. It's all electronic numbers not real live money.

Hi Girls, thanks for your suggestions :thumbsup2
I think I am going to get bankers drafts written and send those it seems the cheapest option.
Just a quick (stupid :rolleyes1 ) question - Who do you make the money order payable to when paying disney?
It says in the LOA, Disney Destinations, LLC, as recieving agent for Disney Fairytale Weddings.
So Do I make it payable to Disney Destinations OR Disney Destinations LLC ???
Told you it was a stupid question !!!!
What does LLC stand for anyway?

Mini update.....................
Well, there was drama surrounding the bankers drafts that I sent, meaning they all got lost in the post for a week and a half :scared1:
Eventually though they reached their intended destination :woohoo:
I also purchased the ring pillows that Connor and Megan will walk down the aisle with...
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/ringpillows-1-1.jpg
They were in the sale for £5.50 each - bargain
I will post another pic once I customise them with yellow ribbon.
Lastly......... We were having a movie night last night with the kids and the phone rang, Connor ran to answer it, he came back, handed me the phone and said "Mum, theres some American dude on the phone for you" :rotfl: :rotfl:
It was Krisi Davis !!, calling to say that everything has now been recieved and confirmed and how do we fancy meeting with her in November to do a site visit !!!!!!!!! Do I ever !!
So we are meeting her at Franks and getting to see the wedding pavilion, living seas and lower u.k. :cool1:
She also said that our wedding planner should be contacting us by the end of next week and that we will be able to arrange our planning session and menu tasing with them.

Hi Pinkerbell,
A bankers draft is basically a cheque written by the bank in the currency you need. It depends on which bank you use as to how much they charge but they are between £10 - £20 (better than £50 :) )
It takes a day or two for the drafts to be ready and they either send them to your house or you can pick them up at the bank.
Hope this helps :)

The menu tasting and site visit is with Kristi Davis at 9am and then our planning session is at 1pm wish they could have been the other way around - I don't know if we'll be up to eating much at 9am :headache: oh well I'll just not have to have any dinner the night before :rotfl:
The other thing is that Ken will be on holiday when we are doing our planning session so he has arranged for Meri to do it with us.
Getting excited now 10 1/2 weeks to go :yay:

Your planning session is getting so close! I can't wait to see how it all goes :upsidedow
I think you are going to LOVE getting pictures done at the poly. We almost did an engagement photoshoot with Randy but then decided not to, but we were going to do the Poly and BW. In and around the Poly there are so many great places to take photos!! They are going to be awesome :flower3:

I think the photo location choice will be a good one, Ive looked at other peoples photos that they had here and the scenery is really nice.
Bummer about the 9am tasting eh, think it might make me a bit  because I don't normally eat first thing.

Its been a while since I've done any updates because nothing much seems to have happened, so for just now I thought I would post pictures of the villas we will be staying in.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/villas.jpg
We are renting both of them. They are on the Windsor Hills estate which isn't too far from Disney
The night before the wedding I will switch villas into the one next door and stay with my mum.
On the wedding morning all the girls will come through to our villa and all the guys will go through to Lee's villa.

Update...................
Well it is only 10 days until we leave for our planning trip and I'm starting to get a bit excited. The only thing that is stopping me from getting totally excited is that our children are not coming with us :sad2:
We made the decision to come alone for a couple of reasons....
1) At least half of this trip will be taken up with meetings and planning for the wedding for which the kids would have been bored.
2) The kids would never of got a week away from school when we are already scheduled to have them out of school for 3 weeks in May for the wedding.
This does not stop me from feeling bad :sad2: I have a total guilty parent feeling.
Its like saying to them "we're going to Disney na na na na na !"
The thing is thought the kids dont actually seem that bothered because they are getting to stay at their Nana's for a week !
Oh well, its booked, we're going, so I had better start looking forward to it ! Anyway who says we don't deserve a 'pre-wedding honeymoon' ;)
For the past few weeks now I have been glued to google images searching for inspiration pictures - here are a few of them that I still have to slot into my planning folder
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/DSC00536-1.jpg
Heres some colour samples we got from the local paint store for ideas of different shades we could use.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/DSC00538-1.jpg
The material in the picture is a sash in our bridesmaids colour that I borrowed from the bridal store where we got our bridesmaids dresses from. It is buttercup yellow and chiffon.
You can see the colour better in this picture as it is against a white cushion.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/DSC00539-1.jpg

Will post more tomorrow.

Well I am presently sitting on the dis whilst I actually should be packing ;)
Im getting excited for our trip now.
Yesterday my mum and I both took the day off work. I dropped the kids at school and then we spent the rest of the day Christmas shopping. So now I have a master bathroom full of pressies !!! Its the only place I could think to hide them ! - the kids are always in and out of the garage getting their bikes etc... and our attic is tiny. Anyway the kids are at school now so I can go and phone Santa to come and pick them up !!
So now that I am a truly organised person :rotfl: I should really get by behind away from the computer and start packing a suitcase.
Dollars have been ordered and we pick them up at the airport and my planning folder is looking good !
So tomorrow its an early start to get to Edinburgh airport for 5.30am with a flight to London Gatwick. Then our flight from there is at 11.15am which means we should arrive in Sunny Florida about 3.30pm
Which will give us time to find pop century, grab a bite to eat and zoom to the poly beach to watch the fireworks from magic kingdom !!!!
Will update when we return with a TR and lots of piccies :cool1:

WEDNESDAY NOV 19TH 2008
With the alarm set for stupid o'clock (4am) I was of course (being very excited) wide awake by 3am :upsidedow
Everything was organised, showers had been taken the night before, we had taken the kids, the hamsters and the dog to their Nana's for the week and the house was tidy (for any burglers :rotfl: ).
We loaded the car with the cases http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip023-1.jpg
and set of for Edinburgh airprt at 5am
We parked in the longstay carpark jumped on the shuttle bus and arrived at the airport 2 seconds later :confused3 whats the point in shuttle buses, we would have been quicker walking !!
We had already checked in online so we dropped our cases and headed off in search for coffee.
The flight was on time and it was a smooth 1 hour flight to London Gatwick.
We basically sat down, buckled up, took off, had breakfast, then landed. Wish the next flight would have been so quick
Once off the flight we collected our cases and made our way from the North to the South terminal. Checked in with Virgin and dropped our cases and went through security.
Just our luck a 1 and a 1/2 hour delay
Oh well more time to shop I suppose :woohoo:
We mooched round the shops and I bought new sunglasses and earrings, I also tried virtually every perfume in the shop and walked out in a waft of green smoke :rotfl:
With still loads of time before the flight we grabbed another bite to eat and checked magic hours on the pay as you go internet stations whilst continually checking the overhead screens to see when our flight would begin boarding.
Well what do you know - Our flight goes from delayed to gate closing in the blink of an eye !!! Well people grabbed their cases, kids were sent flying and everyone made a mad dash down to the departure gate to find a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE line. Bloomin stupid airport staff, obviously thought it would be funny to see everyone panic  (well it was a bit  )
Finally we get onto the plane and find our seats. Lee grabs the window seat and I am stuck in the middle next to some bloke. Well, there was a smell which at first I though was the toilets but turns out it is the guy sitting next to me who proceeded to fart for 9 hours  I was ill and practically sat on Lee's knee for the entire journey.
With my jumper round my nose the following 9 hours went like this.......

Ok, so once we collected the little rust bucket of a car (I refused to let Lee hire the convertable by telling him that we could not possibly afford it since we have a fabulous wedding to pay for!) set up the sat nav and headed in the direction of Pop Century.

were at Disney Yippee
Once at pop we stopped on route to the room for a photo ...

Doesn't Lee look excited :rotfl:
We dropped off our cases in the room, grabbed the biggest pizza in the world and a refillable mug from the food court and headed off in search for the Polynesian hotel.
Once at the poly we grabbed one of those tent sunbed thingies and settled down to munch our way through pizza whilst watching wishes
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip019.jpg
After wishes we had a look around the poly grounds to see where we would be having our pictures taken the following day. The walkways are beautiful at night as they are lit my gas lamps

Thursday 20th November 2008 - Hair and make up with Patricia LeJuene/ photos with Randy Chapman
Because my body clock was still set to UK time, I was wide awake by 5am
I took a shower and then sorted through the bags and unpacked some things into the drawers. I also put the video camera and camera on to charge.
Lee was sleeping throughout this and by 6.30am I was first in line for coffee at the food court.
Back in the room for 6.45am, I woke Lee up and watched some TV whilst he had a shower. Once we were both ready we went out to IHOP or (the eye hopper as my daughter calls it :rotfl: ) One huge breakfast and many many coffee's later we head back to the room to wait for Patricia LeJuene to arrive.
While we were waiting I got Lee to take some before photos...
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip038.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip034.jpg
Patricia arrived Patricia and I immediatly looked at some pictures that I had brought along and discussed what I liked and did not like then she got started...Lee took one photo

and then was kicked out the room !!
Now let me tell you that Patricia is one of the nicest people I have met, We talked non stop about the area, where we live, her relocating to Orlando, our kids ....you get the picture.
She did an amazing job...

In between my eyebrows looks a little shiney but I think that was because I had plastered loads of moisturiser on the night before and that morning because flying really dries my skin out - note to self: do not do this in May :rotfl:
I liked my hair at the time but now I am a bit worried incase those side curls straighten out on the day :scared: and I think I have changed my mind about the back, I mean I want to wear my veil all day (even at the dessert party) so I may go for something much tighter so that it doesnt make my veil stick out too much ? Also I think that I want my veil higher up so that it frames my head rather than just hanging at the back.
Patricia then asked what I was wearing for my photos, I showed her and she asked if I wanted her to put my hair in a style that went with my clothes, I said yes so she removed the million hair grips and curled my hair again.
I found out the name of the lipstick (Mac - Licious) and said thankyou and goodbye to patricia.
Lee arrived back and we popped down to the food court to grab a bite to eat before we had to meet Randy at the Polynesian. I had Chinese and my lipstick did not budge !!!
Once we had finished we drove to the Poly, parked up and went into the lobby to meet Randy, well at this point I turned into a wreck, I was sooooooooooooooooo nervous :scared: Randy was really nice and quickly put me at ease, he was very good at directing us and soon we just began to have fun
away to upload Randy's photos - next installment up soon............

That makes me feel more positive, did she just use regular hairspray to hold the curl?

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip049.jpg
We went to the french resteraunt (can't remember what its called???) The food was really nice.
We then grabbed a bucket of popcorn and found a spot on the bridge beside the Uk to wait for the illuminations fireworks.
During the fireworks I kept thinking that the next time we watch these I'll be a married woman
After illuminations we headed back to the hotel where I had a hot chocolate before bed.

Up bright and early the next day and we headed to Franks at the wedding Pavilion to meet with Kristi Davis for our site visit and menu tasting
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip055.jpg
Me and Kristi ( she's very tall !!)
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip079.jpg
We headed backstage to epcot and straight into our menu tasting where we met our chef
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip063.jpg
I can't remember his name  but he was very nice :thumbsup2
He brought out the appetisers which were Smoked duck with spicy slaw & Five spice chicken and sesame seeds.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip056.jpg
They were absolutely delicious and we are definatley having these at the wedding !!!
Next we tried Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip057.jpg
and Quinoa and roasted tomato salad
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip058.jpg
Both were nice but not what we wanted for our guests
next we tried Parmesan crusted chicked breast with basil mashed potatoes and mushroom cream & Mahi Mahi steamed in banana leaves with mango salsa
The Potatoes were yummy and we are considering a potato bar where guests can choose what to have mixed in with their potatoes. The chicken was really nice, think we might go with this.
The Mahi Mahi was ok but not strong tasting but Lee loved the mango salsa.
The mini corgette and squash were really nice.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip059.jpg
Next we tried Cinderella's slipper ....
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip062.jpg
Which was nice but I wouldn't say that its worth what it costs. Just a bit of a novelty and nice to try.
The food was delicious and the chef was really nice. We said goodbye and went round to the Lower UK for our site visit
This area is Fab !! and from other peoples firework photos that I have seen, I am glad that we have booked this area.

After Kristi dropped us at the Grand Floridian, we had a drink and grabbed a large bag of Lays and headed onto to the beach to relax.
When It was time for our PS we headed over to Franks, I was getting really excited :cool1:
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip090.jpg
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip100.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip093.jpg
We went in and took a seat to wait for Meri ~ although Ken Weaver is our planner, he was meant to be on jury duty and so Meri was going to step in for him. However, Ken had managed to get away early and came running in to Franks sweating and puffing away !!! Think he must have been rushing to get to us in time !
I was really happy as this meant that it was our actual planner that would be doing our planning session with us !
We all went into a side room and the planning started.......
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip095.jpg
We discussed everything from transport to Donald joining us to dance :yay: :yay:
Next we got to taste cake ~ YUMMY ~
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip097.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip098.jpg
Now I'm not much of a cake eater, but this was delicious and I have to say I felt rather sick after all the cake I ate ! :rotfl:
In the end we chose marble cake with raspberry mousse filling for the bottom tier and chocolate cake with white chocolate filling for the top tier.
Next we got to meet Elizabeth to talk floral. Elizabeth is really nice and got exactly what wanted. In fact since the planning session Elizabeth has been fantastic at replying to my emails and responding to any changes or questions I have ~ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :thumbsup2
Heres me with Ken and Elizabeth...
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa222/linzwylie/novembertrip099.jpg

Ok I know its taken me a while but I just wanted to round up our planning trip report with a little note about Reverend Randal Miller......He is awesome :cool1:
After our cake tasting etc.... we headed up to mall at Millenia and had a quick look around before going over to Elephant Grill to meet with the Rev.
He was there waiting so we ordered drinks and took a seat.
Now at first I was a little annoyed as he seemed a bit distracted but he must have been waiting on a call because after he took a quick call on his phone we had his full attention.
He is really funny if a bit quirky ;)
We told him all about us and he told us about him. We felt really at ease and had a great laugh. He couldn't believe that we had been together for 12 years !!
Before we ended the meeting we asked him if he would like to join us for the reception and dessert party after the ceremony. He said he would love too and had never been asked before !
So the REV and his wife are joining us for the entire day and I can honestly say I think he will fit in very well with the rest of us maddo's :rotfl:
