She spent all day on it and let me tell you what kids... it was one of the best meals I have had in my lifetime so......

You go girl, it was good, I had 4 helping :p and threw my salad away to leave more room for the good stuff :D

I'm so proud :p

Easter dinner from a crock pot? Ok, I'll bite ... what was for dinner :)? Do you mean I could have used one crock pot instead of all the pots & pans I DID use :)?

:sunny: Poppy!!! You're embarrassing me!

Do it again!

Thank you for being so sweet! I can't believe it - my own thread - I never thought I'd rate that! You're gonna make everybody hungry!

OK - what did we have? And by the way, I had some help: Crystal slaved over peeling baby pearl onions and carrots, Heather scrubbed a *lot* of baby red potatoes & cut up salad stuff, Brooke helped set the table. Now on to the good stuff:

Black Angus bottom rib roast crocked in white wine & seasonings with baby pearl onions, carrots & potatoes crocked for about 10 hours; twice baked mashed potatoes, oven-roasted asparagus in butter, beef gravy, green beans and white shoepeg corn, fresh salad, and Pillsbury Grands biscuits!!

So did I sound like one of those Lean Cuisine commercials??

And thank you, Poppy - it was very sweet of you to make sure a fuss! <blush!>

Malcolm polished off the last of the roast tonight. Sorry, Scott. :(

Now I get it! Use the slow cooker for Easter dinner so you can spend some time at WDW!! Seriously ... how did you make "the oven-roasted asparagus?" I still have to do something with my asparagus :).

It depends upon how much effort you want to put into it and what you like. The simple one? Get a coupleofcans of Green Giant Select or Del Monte Fresh Cut spears. Set the oven to 350. Lay one can in the bottom of a casserole dish and equally spread butter pats on the layer. Sprinkle Italian Spices over the butter to taste. Create a second layer with the other can with the spear tips at the other end so they level out. Do the butter and seasoning thing again. Cover and stick in the oven. Cook for about 45 minutes or until it's good and cooked. Sprinkle with mozzarella during the last 15 minutes to melt through if you like. That's it!

There's a more fru-fru version that I make, but this one's pretty good. Enjoy!

I can't believe you ate again after eating all that food at the Brown Derby Papy?
Just kidding Lauree, he only had 5 glasses of water...;)...;)!
Congratulations to the girls again on their new vehicle, how many times have they washed and vacuumed it already?
That slaving over the stove all day was an excuse to stay away from the park I think though! You could of put that roast in the crock, put it on low and have come to play with us! That's allright Dylan forgives you, he had Brooke all day and they had a ball!
Now Amber......she really had an eye opening experience with Michelle and me.....she knows what I'm talking about. I'll let her tell us about it, I don't want to get her in trouble with anybody!!!
Anyway, I have to go back to doing nothing, I'm off all this week (Spring Break). Michelle has to go back to work and she has several lists for me to throw away...I mean complete this week!
See ya guys at AK, it was a fun weeend!
