There are room only codes that can be booked through CRO but there are also Disney Club codes that can only be booked through WDTC. I believe they through in admission to the WWOS and call it the Basic Package.

I've got "basic packages" booked for October w/DC discount, but if a room only code comes out would like to switch to that. My DU agent said they couldn't transfer $ between WDTC & CRO if AP rates come out, but I didn't know about Code rates...if code rates come from WDTC or not. I guess codes don't apply to "basic package". So, if I understand correctly, the room only code rates usually come from CRO?

There CAN be code rates for reservations booked through CRO OR WDTC...it just depends on the code.

You are correct that the room-only codes would be through CRO...the only room-only discounts through WDTC would be with the Disney Club Basic Plan. :)

You can book both through cro & wdtc. Wdtc calls it a package cause they add on a free mini golf round or a wide world of sports visit. at wdtc you cannot drop these features with room only you simply chose not to use them.

If you are using an actual code to book, that will determine who you must book through. All 4 letter codes must go through WDTC while all three letter codes go through CRO. You don't have a choice with these.
