Characters: Myself/27, the Planner
DH/28, turns 29 on the cruise
DD/10, almost as excited as I am
DS/3, fully potty trained and ready for the mickey pool

Let me start off by saying that I LIVE for vacations. I find comfort in always having some kind of getaway to look forward to. That being said, I do have the DISorder that seems to be prevalent on the DISboards, I refer to it as O.C.O.D. (Obsessive Compulsive Over-planning Disorder), and I have spent the last year reading the boards, making lists and buying necessary items (o.k., mostly not-so-necessary items) for our upcoming DREAM VACATION.:cloud9:

So, let’s start with a little background info.

Me: I am a mother of 2, married to my high-school sweetheart. I am a project manager for our family construction business. Favorite Disney Character: Tink, of course.

DH: He works hard to support my vacation addiction but would rather I keep all of the planning stuff to myself.:lmao: He is very laid back person, likes to just “play it by ear”, which tends to balance us out a bit, seeing that I am the complete opposite of that. Favorite Disney Character: None, I would say he has the most in common with Grumpy though.:rotfl:

:cheer2: DD/10: This one keeps me busy. She is starting her 6th year of competitive cheerleading in June. In addition to cheer, which is extremely time and $$$ consuming, she plays volleyball in the Spring & the Fall. Basically, she is the reason for my 2nd profession as a chauffer. Favorite Disney Character: Tink, and she has the attitude to match

:sulley: DS/3: My little handful, let’s just say………..I have put a request in with Disney that we have a table for 4 in the dining rooms so to spare all of you the adventure of eating a sit-down meal with my angel.:scared: All kidding aside, he truly is a sweet boy, he just has his melt-down moments like most 3 year olds. Favorite Disney Character: Buzz

When all of this cruise planning business started, I would say that I was a “fan” of Disney, but not a “super-fan”. I think that the parks are great and the movies as well. To be completely honest, the only reason that we decided to spend the extra money and go on a Disney Cruise, was for the kids. I thought that the children’s programs sounded great, plus the lack of a Casino would force my DH to spend our money on more important things, like……………me!;) (I would like to mention that since becoming a Disboard member, I am now officially a Disney super fan  )

I originally booked our cruise in October of 2006 for an early October 2007 Western. We ended up having to cancel that one because we were having a house built and our attention (and money) needed to be focused on that. Oh, but not to worry, a few months later I was on the prowl for a new cruise date and came across the Double Dip. Though I had never actually been on a Disney Cruise, I had been on the Disboards for a good 6 months at that point, and new that 2 stops at C.C. was a big deal. So, I booked it! A Cat. 6 on deck 6, sail date, September 27, 2008. Now, I just needed to tell my husband……:scared1: Um…remember that nice, new, big house we had built? Well, it just so happens that it came with a nice, new, big mortgage payment.:headache: Oh, yeah, that was another reason for picking the Double dip………..The hubbies birthday coincidently falls on the 3rd day of the cruise! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY. :rotfl2: He took the news better than expected, and so the planning begins.

Okay, so bear with me as I try my best to pay it forward to future cruisers who are as “green” as I was when this whole thing started, before I found Dis! :disrocks: :thanks:

More to come.............................................. ....

Arin, I don't think I recall hearing that your DH didn't know you booked the Double Dip!!!! So do you have an outlet with some friends (besides your DISer friends, of course) to talk about your OCOD? Holy smokes you must be ready to burst!

Looking forward to hearing more about your story!

Oh my gosh, your opening paragraph describes me and my family to a tee, except I have three girls. I am obsessed, I live to plan our next vacation, if I have to go a few months without knowing when the next one is I need therapy. My kids are almost as excited as me when it comes to a Disney vacation (which we do at least one a year), and my husband wants nothing to do with the planning, he wont even show a hint of enthusiasm until we are on our way to the airport. I'm dying to start my pre-trip report, but we don't leave for our next cruist until Oct '09!!:scared1: I can't wait to read about yours!

So, it started off with a t-shirt or two, then pirate accessories, oh, don’t forget about embarkation day outfits!

“You want me to wear THAT?!” :worried: , was my DH’s response to the brand new “Grumpy” t-shirt I bought for him. “Um, yeah……….is this going to be a problem?” I enjoy allowing him to think that it is HIS decision……………..:rotfl2: he always seems to make the "correct" decision in the end though.

So, UPS knows me by first name at his point. :rolleyes1 I am averaging 1 delivery every 2 weeks or so, and yes, this has been going on for months now. :scared1: The storage box is overflowing with cruise clothing. I am obsessed. Madison has a Hannah Montana bathing suit. The kids have personalized T-shirts for embarkation day. Chase has a pair of Disney PJ’s for each night of the cruise………………he even has pirate pj’s to wear to bed on Pirate Night………….he has pirate swim trunks and rash guard to wear to the pools on Pirate Day. pirate:
Oh my, it didn’t seem so strange until I just said (wrote) it out loud…………..:scared:

Oh don’t you judge me.....I am sorry okay, there are great deals on that site!!!!! Yeah, that’s it……….great deals. Um, let’s just keep this between us okay? :ssst:

Oh, have to go now, I think I just heard the UPS truck..........:rotfl2:

I know what you mean about the Disney merchandise. I just cleaned out my reciept folder today (all receipts kept there, target, wal-mart, home depot etc) I think more than half of it was Disney receipts :rotfl: You must be getting really excited! Compare to us (Oct 09) your cruise is right around the corner.

Pre-Cruise Plans: We reserve the right to (and probably will) change any and all of these plans at any time without warning and for no particular reason at all. Thank-you. :thumbsup2

We used our Alaska Air miles to book our flights. We will fly from PDX to Seattle and then take the Red-eye from Seattle to MCO. So, we are leaving on Septmeber 24th, but won’t actually arrive in Florida until September 25th at 7:30 A.M.!! My whole thought process when choosing this flight was that my 3 year old DS has never flown and I am hoping that he spends most of the flight sleeping…though I am sure he has other plans :stir:.....we will see. He is definitely smart enough to know that there isn’t a whole lot that I can do to discipline him on a cramped airplane. I am sure that I will have enough funny stories and embarrassing moments to write a full TR just on the flight itself :scared1: By the way, how do you give a kid a “time out” while on an airplane :rolleyes1 ……..Hmmmmmm.

I had originally booked a limo with FL Tours company for our ride to and from Port Canaveral. The cost was going to be $305.00 + 20% tip + a fee for a grocery stop. This was going to be a surprise to my family, but SURPRISE, it turns out I am having to cut costs a bit, so I ended up booking with Cocoa Beach Shuttle Service. A round trip shuttle ride will cost us about $150. I would have loved to have walked down to baggage and seen a limo driver holding a sign with our name on it though.......:cool2: But, sacrifices will have to be made Pre-cruise, so we don't have to make them DURING the cruise.....if you know what I mean....:drinking1 ....:boat: ....:drinking1

We will be spending 2 full days and 2 nights at Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort and Waterpark in Cape Canaveral. I knew that we were going to be unable to visit the Parks while we are there. I know what your thinking.....how in the world could we come all the way across the country and not visit the parks???, well, remember the whole cutting costs thing? So I tried to find a hotel with enough activities to keep us busy. Ron Jon has a large waterslide, lazy river plus swimming pools and hot tubs. There is also a movie theater which is also included in your stay popcorn:: . I had at first reserved a studio and then changed to a 1 bedroom as I wanted a balcony.

I am still unsure about how we will get to the port the morning of the cruise. I know that there is a shuttle from Ron Jon for an additional charge but I have also read that there is a limo/cab company that will pick you up in a limo from your C.C. hotel and take you to the port for $15, so we may end up getting our “limo fix” that way…………….is that like a 2 minute limo ride? "O.K. kids, hop into the limo for your very first limo ride! Now buckle your seat.....Oh.....O.k. kids we are here....wasn't that fun?"..........:rotfl:

Still to figure out:
Post cruise hotel
Excursions
Palo
Spa treatments
F.E. gifts
Secret Mickey

Arin, it's great to hear about all your planning...I actually look forward to reading what you've got up your sleeve next! :stir:

I too have a 3 year old son, Avery - are you signing your little guy up for the OC? I was hoping A-man would find a 'buddy' on the ship...trust me, it's MUCH easier if they have a friend they can cry with...just kidding. :rotfl2:

Great pre-trip report. I love how you have spent so much time (and $$$) planning your family's outfits for the cruise. Your DS sounds very much like mine - except he is 5 and still having regular meltdowns when things don't go according to plan. I had real worries about a 9 hour flight from the UK with my DS back in April but, despite a 6 hour delay, he was absolutely fine. I hope your DS is the same :)

Thanks for reading :) Yes, we will be taking Chase to the kid's club. He loves being around kids, so he will probably be there a lot. Well, as a 5th timer on the DCL with 3 times having late seating, naps are a God-send :worship: Now, I know this hard - especially with SO much going on, but I find that Benedryl works wonders...JUST KIDDING! :rotfl2:

No seriously, late seating isn't that bad ... my DH and I are actually considering switching to late seating since it's what we're used to. We liked that service better because you have more time to shower and such and you're not constantly rushing around. Also, up on deck 9, which I'm sure you know about already since you are so on the ball, there's all the 'fun' food that 3 year olds prefer anyway. If you brave your normal rotation, the servers are WONDERFUL :wizard: at keeping the little ones entertained...they pretty much cater to them...you feel like you're just along for the ride! :dance3:

Hope this helps!

So, because of my beloved REAS Package that I purchased with my cruise :lovestruc , I get to book Palo, Excursions and Spa treatments this coming weekend! :cool1: After spending way more time than any "normal" person should trying to decide...:rolleyes1, here is what I am planning on booking: Palo Brunch & Palo Dinner, of course. I'm hoping to book one of these, probably brunch on my hubbies birthday :lovestruc As for Excursions, I still don’t know if Costa Maya Excursions will be available for booking yet, because of the repair of the Port still being in progress. After looking thru my Passporter, which I may as well have surgically attached to my body :rotfl2: , I think we may end up just walking around the mall area. My son isn't really old enough to go on too many of the excursions and we don't want to leave him on the ship for that long without us. We were planning on doing the Banana Boat ride on our first day at Castaway Cay, which I was very excited for, even though just looking at pictures of a banana boat causes me to hear the Jaws soundtrack in my head :scared1: . But, of course, Disney had to go and cancel it on me. So, DD and I will be doing the Sting Ray thingy, probably on our second visit to C.C. so we can spend our first stop just exploring, since we have never been there before. Oh, and just between you and me....the hubby isn't "comfortable" being in the water with sea creatures (otherwise known as stingrays ;) ), but don't get his being "uncomfortable" confused with him being "scared" though.... :lmao: So DD and I will be braving the sea creature filled waters without him. As for Cozumel, we have already booked a Beach Break on our own. I thought about booking the Paradise Beach Break thru Disney, but some of the reports that I have read complain that the section of the beach reserved for Disney guests is very cramped and that the food isn’t very good. So, we booked a Beach Break with Nachi Cocom beach club, which includes lunch and unlimited drinks…:drinking1 ……as well as use of the pool, beach and the option to rent jet skis and other water toys :beach: . The real selling point for me was that they limit the number of guests per day to 100 to prevent over crowding. And now we come to the SPA :hyper: where do I start? Well, I know for sure that we are booking the Rasul (again, hubbies birthday :rolleyes1 ) I also want to get the stone massage and possibly one of the facials. So, that's the plan. I have no idea how it will go once I get down to the whole booking process. I don't know how it all works  Hopefully I will be able to report back with all of the great ressies I get!

Arin - tell your hubby the stingray excursion is VERY mild. The water isn't deep at all, even at the far end of the stingray area. Feeding them is really fun and not nearly as scary as you think it will be. It was very cool snorkelling and having a stingray casually glide by!

:rotfl2: I can just imagine you doing some finger exercises! and 1, and 2, now stretch, ok!

Come on people, this is serious! We don't need anyone getting carpal(sp?) tunnel!

Hmm...Maybe I should come up with a safety pamphlet.

Oh yeah, got the email yesterday, but knew about it before that thanks to our chatty Double Dip group on the meet thread.:thumbsup2 I am trying to look at the glass as half full. I have never been to Costa Maya, but I have never been to Grand Cayman either. So, I am trying to make the best of it. I think my family will be doing the Boatswain's Beach Adventure Marine Park excursion.

Hi Arin,
DH, DS (4 on the cruise) and I will be joining you on this Double Dip cruise.

We have late seating and I am panicking about it too!

I'm hoping DS is going to find some new friends and really enjoy the club. Maybe he and Chase will be buddies!

We also added the REAS so I'll see you online Friday night/Saturday Morning. :surfweb:

Looking forward to your TR!

Nice to "meet" you. Yeah, I am just a little bit worried about dinner with DS/3, but I did read a good tip somewhere on the Dis. Order the child's meal right when you sit down or even let your servers know the night before what your child wants to eat. That way, they can eat their dinner while the adults enjoy their appetizers. Then have one of the adults run the kid up to the clubs so you can enjoy the rest of the meal child/stress free. I think this is what we will be doing. :rolleyes1

Well, I was able to get on line tonight and book all my ressies :cool1:

I am embarrassed to say that my heart was actually racing and my palms were sweating as the minutes counted down :rolleyes1

The process ended up being painless and I was able to get EVERYTHING that I wanted, at the exact times that I wanted !

Here is the breakdown of what we will be doing:

9/28/2008/CC #1: Couple's Cabana Massage, Bicycle Rentals

9/29/2008/Sea Day (DH's birthday): Palo Brunch, Rasul in the afternoon :rolleyes1

9/30/2008/GC: Boatswain's Marine Park

10/01/2008/Cozumel: We booked Nachi Cocom Beach Break on our own

10/02/2008/Sea Day: Stone Massage (for me), Palo Dinner

10/03/2008/CC #2: Castaway Rays Stingray (Me & DD)

Well, that's about it. It is such a relief to have that all done........:cloud9:

I gave in and added a couples Cabana massage on our first stop at Castaway Cay  . I had originally just booked myself an on board massage, but my DH just mentioned that he would love to get a massage too. So, now my bill is already really high and we haven't even come close to starting our vacation :scared1:

I may end up cancelling our excursion to Boatswain's Marine Park with Disney and just do this excursion on our own to save quite a bit of $$.
I am just not sure how much it will cost for a taxi to get to and from the park?

To personalize the pockets, I think I am just going to get 4 neon green mickey heads from Home Depot, print our names on them and then laminate them and stick them on...........I am soooooooo not crafty.............so that is as good as it gets :rotfl:

Arin - Just one question:

I know that Erica does alot of planning, and from what I've read here you've been planning too.

Just wondering if you've started planning your cruise beverages like she has. It takes intense planning sessions to make sure you have those right.

I just had a planning session here for my November cruise. Mojitos will not make the cut.

Sorry to hijack for a moment, but remember, with sand buckets you can fill those full of undies, socks, etc. Really, they end up taking very little room, because the inside is usable space!

So, not much has happened lately. I have only received 2 more packages from Disneyshopping dot com since I first started my Pre-TR :rolleyes1 but I am DONE. I don't know that there is anything left on there that I haven't already bought.

Anyway, I finally applied for all of our passports last Thursday. It was an easy process, although I absolutely hate my passport photo :scared1: and my DH's............his looks more like a mug shot :lmao: He said that he thought he was supposed to keep a straight face for that kind of photo :confused3

I also finally made reservations for our post cruise hotel. We will be staying at the coveted Hyatt MCO inside the airport :cool1: For some reason I am really excited about this hotel :goodvibes

I also found out last night that we are the most recent victims of the airline changing our flight schedules without notifying us! When I asked them why we didn't receive at least an email, they said that once the trip got closer, we would have received the info. The good new is that the changes aren't all negative. We were supposed to have a direct flight home from MCO to PDX and now we have a short layover in Seattle, but the positive part of this is that instead of our flight leaving MCO at 7:00 a.m. we now don't leave until 9:00, which is great because we won't have to be up quite so early :woohoo:

Well, I think that is all for now. Next up on our list of TO DO'S:
~Strict diet and workout regimen w/trainer :yay:
~Clothes/shoe shopping
~Save spending money for cruise :drinking1

*Note to self* "Get 2nd & 3rd job to pay for above list". :)

OMG I think Im going to need a suit case for mine too.. Im debating mailing a box, but just so scared it wont make it for some reason. Rather pay the extra $10 for an extra suitcase to fly with LOL

Tell him thats what our lanyards are for so we can recognize people and chat. I would feel hurt if yall dont come on over and say hi, tell me about your day, or what you have had to drink :drinking1 lmao

your going to read everyone trip reports... that will keep us all busy! Until our next cruise... :rolleyes1

I am too much of a worrier to mail a box with all of that stuff in it :scared1:
I will put it all in it's own suitcase and then use that suitcase to bring home all of our new goodies that we buy on the cruise. :woohoo:

Yes...........I have done it................and I am not ashamed to admit it..........yesterday.......I broke down and...........brought the suitcases out of storage and..........STARTED PACKING  :ssst: :rolleyes1

Just the stuff that no one is allowed to wear or touch until the cruise, which is kind of a lot of stuff. Everytime I buy some new clothes or shoes for my DD she is disappointed because she knows she can't wear them for a few months :rotfl:
I am just trying to get an idea of how many suitcases we are going to need to take. I already have to pack an entire suitcase with just F/E and Secret Mickey gifts!:scared1: I am too worried about sending a package ahead of time, so I will just use that suitcase to bring home all of our new purchases

Well, I think that is about it. Oh, I did book parasailing for DH and DD bonding time @ Castaway Cay, 2nd stop. Since DH was too SCARED to join us in doing the Stingray thingy.

Still waiting for more of my fellow cruisers to start their Pre-TR's!!! popcorn::

There is no shame in packing now. You're less than 2 months away from your cruise. I started packing for my November cruise 13 months beforehand. (Granted, it was only the snorkeling equipment that we knew we wouldn't use in the meantime, but you get the idea.)

I have a special stack in my closet for cruise only clothes etc etc. Kohls had a great sale last week, so Natalie got 4 new outfits for the cruise. (now she is done.) :yay:
and I too told her she cant wear them until the cruise.
I even went through their closets and said hmmm this can be worn and left on the ship.

My next purchase is aqua shoes for the dolphin encounter. I am wondering if crocs will work. when we went to Great wolf all the guards wore crocs when they were in the water. I may have to test it out in the pool today.

A cruise report???? who would want to read ours? lol. we are not that exciting. :goodvibes The last time I started writing about our cruise was our huge family cruise, and we almost missed our flights and we hit a hurricane at the end.

So, the past few weeks I have been working on Fish Extender and Secret Mickey gifts. After hours of shopping, stuffing bags, tagging as well as spending a small fortune :rolleyes1 I am pretty much done! :woohoo: I now have close to 70 individual gift bags for all of the lovely children along with around 50 gift bags for the adult participants (1 bag for each cabin). This is why I have come to realize that I will need a whole suit case (and not just one of the smaller sized ones that can be taken as a carry-on) just for my F/E and S/M gifts :scared1: I am just too much of a worrier to ship a box to the ship :sad2:

My husband now REALLY AND TRULY thinks that I am nuts. He walked into our bonus room and saw me surrounded by well over 100 gift bags as I was putting them together. He just opened his eyes really wide  and then just turned around and walked out of the room :rotfl: I have him trained so well :lmao:

The only thing I am struggling with is one more little gift for each of the adult gift bags. I am just so NOT crafty like some of my fellow cruisers. I walked into Michaels today and had no idea what to do with myself :confused3

If you're done and bored you can always help me! I haven't even ordered my stuff yet. Actually I plan to do it this week, cause I will have to assemble tags and bows, etc. for my FE gifts. I feel like I'm the only one who didn't split adults/kids and I feel kindof bad that I don't have one thing for each person in the room...it will be a gift each family member will share, (one or two per cabin) but it did get expensive. Ah well...it is cute so I'm sure it will be enjoyed.

I higly recommend MNSSHP, its a Blast! you could get a rental car at Budget, right near the port at noon on Friday and return by noon on Sat for less than $40, just use code W810011 on the Budget.com site, its for an ecomony but it might be cheaper than a town car

This goes for all of you on the 9/27 cruise.

Today, I happened to have been looking at something else, and thought of this TR. You see what I was looking at was the calendar for the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. I noticed that the opening day was 9/26. So, if my wife and I were going on your cruise, we would go to EPCOT on Friday the 26th before heading over to the cruise on the 27th. After all, that's what we're doing in November when we catch the last Friday of F&W before boarding our cruise on Saturday.

And you were going to go to MNSSHP when there is international food to eat and wine to drink! If you've never been to F&W and can get there, it comes shall I say, highly recommended.

DH and I won't be dressing up. I want the kids to dress up, but since going to the party is a surprise, I would have to buy costumes and hide them and hope that they fit. I was thinking Peter Pan and Tink, but Madison is 10 and at a weird stage where I don't know if she would think it was "cool" or "embarrassing" :confused3 :)

I already gave up....went and bought them retail. ($300 for three :scared: )
So I am a lot more broke but a whole lot less stressed.
Ron- though he gave me free reign to buy whatever I wanted- was a little suprised it cost so much (well there is a pareo and a bathingsuit in there too).
He says "DO YOU KNOW how many drinks of the day that would have bought????"

Quite a few...:sad1:

And I am just having horrible luck. I was going to do the Peter Pan/Tink/Captain Hook costume theme for the kids on Pirate Night. I saw a baby tink costume for like $6.95 a couple of weeks back and FORGOT to buy it..NOW the same exact costume is $29.95..you have got to be kidding me.
So instead we will probably go T-shirt & shorts on Pirate Night

I am still unsure about how we will get to the port the morning of the cruise. I know that there is a shuttle from Ron Jon for an additional charge but I have also read that there is a limo/cab company that will pick you up in a limo from your C.C. hotel and take you to the port for $15, so we may end up getting our “limo fix” that way…………….is that like a 2 minute limo ride?

Arin - great thread!! I can't believe all the planning you have done so far!

I know you were able to go back to plan A for the limo, but did you ever find out the name of the limo/taxi company that offers rides from the hotel to the terminal?

Thanks,

I found the info about a year ago on the "Helpful information for you" Thread. I just checked the thread again and I don't see it there anymore :confused3 I believe the company is called Checker Cab of Brevard County and it was like $15 for a limo from any Cocoa Beach hotel to P.C.

I have enjoyed readying the many posts, however, I was not able to read them all. I am as excited as you are for our trip, I have also begun packing but I have a couple of months still. anyways, I wanted to let you know, if you take something like a pillowcase, or a t-shirt and a Sharpie to Customer Service, they will have all the characters sign the item and then deliver it to your room. I thought this would be a cool surprise for my DS. He will just flip when it arrives while we are gone!! I hope you have a wonderful time!! Thanks for all the information and great pictures.

I found the info about a year ago on the "Helpful information for you" Thread. I just checked the thread again and I don't see it there anymore I believe the company is called Checker Cab of Brevard County and it was like $15 for a limo from any Cocoa Beach hotel to P.C.
You could probably P.M. Shirley and ask her.

Yep, it's Checker Cab of Brevard. You can visit his website here http://www.checkercabofbrevard.com/ I sent an email asking if they still offered this service and I was told by Robert that they do and it is a flat rate of $25. His cell number is 321-449-1000. Very nice guy and was simple to arrange the pick-up.

Hope you all are having a great day!!

I'm so glad you "went overboard" and decided to do the MNSSHP. We did it last year and loved it! I'm sure that you already know this, but for fear that on the off chance you don't and not wanting you to miss out...you can enter the park at 4pm even though the party doesn't start until 7pm, you knew that right? Who are you using to get from CBR to the port? I am thinking about doing the same thing next year when we cruise in October. When I try discussing our options with DH he just looks at me and shakes his head (because we still have over a year to go).

So, I got my formal dress and tried it on. It fits perfectly, just like Cinderalla's glass slipper. The only problem is.............I look like I am trying to BE Cinderalla when wearing it! It is soooo poofy, like a wedding dress. I didn't realize from the pictures (on ebay) that it was like that
So, I have stressed about it all week and decided NOT to bring the dress on the cruise:sad2: It is just too much.

The good news is, I went shopping today and got a new dress for formal night and I love it. Bought DH a matching tie as well. :cool1:

Oh what ever will I do with my Poofy, Cinderella Wannabe dress now?

Drea, wear whatever you want! I'm wearing a gown, it's just not poofy because I don't look good in poofy. When I got married, the lady who sold me my dress thought I was nuts for not buying a crinoline :rotfl:

Well, not much to report. I have everyones clothes packed. Just carry-ons left to pack. Door magnets are printed out. I do have a busy 7 days ahead of me though:

Today:
~Getting my hair done (No, the blonde is not natural :rolleyes1)
~1 1/2 hour massage! :cool1:

Friday:
~Spin class
~Haircut for DS

Saturday:
~Shop for dress shirt for DH
~Go to a wedding

Sunday:
~Pedicures for Me and DD

Monday:
Nothing scheduled, but i'm sure I will find something to fill the time

Tuesday:
~DD to Ortho
~Detox body wrap & wax :scared1:

Wednesday:
~Leave for airport @ 4:30 p.m.

I ended up cancelling our C.C. couples massage. I decided the almost $300 could be better spent elsewhere.

Also cancelled parasailing for DD and DH because, well, they are both chickens

Love the Pre-TR! You are closer to being done than I am! :worship: I hope to finish all my sewing projects today and pack!

You're from the Salem area? I went to college at WOSC about 20 minutes outside of Salem. I think they changed the name to Western Oregon University a while ago. Does that make me old? :rolleyes1

Only one more week before we get to leave for WDW! We'll be at MNSSHP on the 26th too! My kids don't know about it, but I always make Megan's Halloween costume and it's a Disney Princess dress, so she thinks she is just going to wear it on the cruise. Grady is Capt. Jack. I can't wait to spring this surprise on them! They are going to flip!

Well, I'm not going to get anything done if I don't get off the DIS and turn on my sewing machines. :rotfl2:

I totally enjoy reading your trip report. It got me motivated to put a lot more effort into preparing for this trip.

Love the new formal dress and after all those spin classes you deserve a new strappy pair of sandals to go with it.

If you are planning to keep up the gym workouts while on the cruise, I'd be happy to keep you company. If exercising is something you are trying to forget about while cruising I understand. Been busting my but to get into shape for this cruise and would hate to loose it all in one week.

So, I woke up yesterday feeling soooo sick. Just nauseated and weak with a slight fever. DD/10 was feeling sick too. GREAT, my worst fear during this whole planning process has been that one of us will get sick! I have been shoving so many pills down my families throats during the past few weeks, we should be immune to pretty much everything :rolleyes1

Anyway, we both started feeling better in the evening and I was able to finish packing up my suitcase. Then I weighed it :scared1: 62 lbs!!!!
Holy crap. I will have to do some $25 fee I will be paying for that extra suitcase which hold all of my wonderful F/E and S/M gifts :rolleyes1 )

I was unable to get my pedicure yesterday, due to feeling ill, so I will be doing that tomorrow morning. DH and I both have the day off of work tomorrow and we plan on leaving for the airport by 4:30 p.m.

The "Honey Do List":

~Mow the lawns
~Set sprinkler system
~Turn down water heater
~Oil change in truck
~Gas up the truck

My to do's:

~Pack last minute carry-on stuff
~Detox body-wrap
~Pedicure
~Take dog to sitter

Wow, my list sure sounds a lot funner than DH's :rotfl:
