Mini Cakes At Rehearsal Dinner

okay so after browsing pages upon pages of wedding cakes...i have fallen in love with the mini cakes!
of course i want to have the big classic wedding cake at my reception but these mini cakes are just too adorable! now, i know its been done before, but i just think that having a big wedding cake along with individual mini cakes for the guests is just TOO much cake. so i was wondering...has anyone ever had mini cakes at their rehearsal dinner?? or even elsewhere besides the wedding???

I know that one bride had them at a dessert party. I'm sure they could have them at a rehearsal dinner. But that might get expensive- the price is the same as or more than the wedding cake. I think it's $12-$14 per person.

I heard that mini cakes were more like $25 per person 2-3 years ago when Janet2K had them at her vow renewal. They are really great though :goodvibes and I think everyone would love them at a rehearsal dinner!
