Okay so I have become obsessed with food since I've started reading these boards. Oh who am I kidding -I've always been obsessed with food popcorn::

Anyway I've made some notes on things I'd like to try, but we are on an extreamly tight budget soooo I am looking for some help here.

Here is the list of things I'd like to try, can anyone tell me how much these items cost approximately? And Where exactly they are located in the park? (If anyone has pics of them that would be great too)

Most of the items are from Epcot (based on descriptions I found on this thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1826190)) but some are from other places too.

Soft Pretzel (Germany, Epcot)
Kaki Gori (Japan, Epcot)
Fish -n- Chips (UK, Epcot)
Grand Marinier Slushie (France, Epcot)
Rice Cream (Norway, Epcot)
School Bread (Norway, Epcot)
Lefse (Norway, Epcot)
Layered Fiesta Margarita (Mexico, Epcot)
Mickey Bars - can you only get this in MK?
Dole Whip - can you only get this in MK?
Glowtini - can anyone tell me if the glowing ice cube is re-usable?
Same question for the Pirate's Punch - served in a souvenir Pirate Cup with a glowing Tinker Bell or Captain Hook clip-on light.

Also, if anyone wants to add their all time fave must have foods from WDW, I would love it ....you know for research....popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Sorry I can't help with the pricing info, because DW would be the first to tell you that when it comes to Disney, I always forget that there is $ attached to it, it just goes on the Tinkerbell Visa & they get my money at the end of the month...however, there was some of your question I can answer...

Mickey Bars - can you only get this in MK?

Glowtini - can anyone tell me if the glowing ice cube is re-usable?

Also, if anyone wants to add their all time fave must have foods from WDW, I would love it ....you know for research....popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

1. Mickey Bars are available at all of the parks, not just MK
2. Yes, the glowing ice cube is re-usable, DMom got one at Kona Cafe in Jan, and brought it back home for some of DBro's kids to enjoy...
3. Favorite foods from WDW...that's a toughie....
Must haves at MK, for DW the popcorn in the park & some fudge from the Confectionary, for me the Orangejuice/icecream swirl by the Enchanted Tiki Room

At Epcot, for me the fried dough at the american pavilion & something from the pasterie at France, for DW some candy from the UK

At DHS for me a chocolate peanut butter banana shake at Primetime, for DW probably more popcorn, since I can't think of what else she gets there every time.

At AK, for DW some bbq from Flametree, for me it used to be the fresh pastries for breakfast that are no longerthere in a restaurant that blanks for me, so I'll probably be lame and go with the fries in dinoland

At downtown disney, gotta have your freebie chocolate piece from Ghiradelli, and when I can talk DW into it, we'll split a dessert on the other side, otherwise we like the sushi at Wolfgang Pucks...

OK, I'll try to answer your questions, to the best of my ability.

Soft Pretzel (Germany, Epcot)---next to the beer cart, across from the entrance to the German village. Please note there are soft pretzels all over WDW that are very similiar to Germany's pretzels. Norway makes an unusal pretzel with icing and almonds--very good. It can be found at the bakery--directions further down the post.

Kaki Gori (Japan, Epcot)Cart is just past the building where the drum players perform

Fish -n- Chips (UK, Epcot)--little stand before the Rose and Crown restaurant. As soon as you enter GB from the international gateway bridge.

Grand Marinier Slushie (France, Epcot)carts along the walkway as you enter France across from Chefs de France

Rice Cream (Norway, Epcot)in the bakery which is the first building on your left when you enter the country.

School Bread (Norway, Epcot)-same as the rice cream in the bakery

Lefse (Norway, Epcot)same, in Norway's bakery

Layered Fiesta Margarita (Mexico, Epcot)stand next to the water across from the main attraction

Mickey Bars - can you only get this in MK? you can get them everywhere on WDW property.

Dole Whip - can you only get this in MK? Only at MK at the stand to your left as you are entering Adventureland. It is across from the tiki statues that make noise. Another treat in this area is a citrus swirl--it is soft service ice cream with orange juice, very good. Citrus swirls can be found at the stand right behind Aladdin's magic carpet ride.

Glowtini - can anyone tell me if the glowing ice cube is re-usable? The cubes are reusable but will eventually die out.

Same question for the Pirate's Punch - served in a souvenir Pirate Cup with a glowing Tinker Bell or Captain Hook clip-on light.--Can not answer that - we have never gotten one.

Some of our favorites that you did not mention are:

Roasted pecans --cart as you enter WS at Epcot

Turkey legs--cart in Adventureland across from Country Bear Jamboree. They are also sold in Futureworld.

Chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick, rolled in crushed nuts and M&Ms--Candy store on Main Street, MK

Carmel Apples w/nuts--Villians Candy Store in Disney Studios, will be on your left as you head towards ToT & RnR coaster.

Cinnamon Yummies--Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Resort, next to Seashore Sweets on the boardwalk

Lapu Lapu--delicious & potent adult beverage served in a fresh pineapple, they are found at the bar/lounge of O'Hana restaurant in the Poly

Coconut Pyramids--Bakery in France, take the little alley way towards the left of building with movie and gift shop

Ribs--Flame Tree Barbeque in AK, walk towards Tree of Life to the main attraction/time board, restaurant is behind and to the right

Jelly type candies sold by the bag in Germany. I love the peach ones. Candy store is in the town buildings in Germany in between the Christmas store and the Hummel shop

These are the ones I make a point of getting each trip:

Napoleon - France, EPCOT
Strawberry Cream Cake or Sweet Pretzel - Norway, EPCOT (always get one or the other)
Hot Dog - Casey's, MK
Figero Fries - Pinocchio Village Haus, MK
Hot Fudge Sundae - Ghiradelli's (not a big chocolate fan, but this is ridiculously good)
And those cinnamon Pluto mints in the tins, don't know why, but I really like those

When we stayed at POR, we took the boat and went to Ghiradelli's almost every night. When I returned home and stepped on the scale, I said it would be a long time before we stayed there again.

HA HA - That reminds me of the time DS ..4yo at the time over heard a conversation I was having with a friend. DS asked me what s car go means.
i said aw sweetie it's just a fancy word for snail (last thing I wanted was to tell him it was snails you eat.... he'd be crunching on them in no time. Well about 2 months later he comes running up to me and says hurry mom there's a s car on the steps, but don't worry it isn't going anywhere.

Soft Pretzel (Germany, Epcot)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/USAPretzel.jpg

Okay. Now I want a pretzel.

Oh My!!! Did you use Free and Ghiradelli in the same sentence??????
Oh Yeah:woohoo:

Yes. I admit it. I routinely circle through the "shop" part of the Ghiradelli store, for the sole purpose of getting my freebie piece of chocolate. While 95% of the time it is the carmel creme filled kind (which is not my favorite), I will certainly take it (and even eat DD1's if she doesn't want it :rotfl2: ), but I probably only buy something there less than 5% of the time I go in....and only about that often will I brave the lines on the ice-cream-parlor side of the building....okay, I will us the excuse of the lines. It's the lines that keep me from buying those delicious chocolate and carmel and icecream desserts on the parlor-side, not my need to avoid an extra 2000 calories for a snack...:lmao:

Gosh this thread makes me hungry!!!!!!popcorn::

Might not have this exactly right.....but it's deep fried sourdough bread, stuffed with bananas and then rolled in cinnamon sugar. I can only imagine the calories it must have loaded in it ! :scared1: It is very good though. Very sweet. I don't put syrup on mine because it's too much.
