This question may be answered somewhere but I could not find it.

I assume that Ft Wilderness has a laundromat. If so, if any one has used the washers and driers recently, how much does it cost. I need to get my quarters together so I am not hunting around for change when we get there.

Also, can we have guest at our camp site just for the afternoon? My husband's family lives about 45 minutes from Disney. They wanted to come visit us while we are there. We only see each other about 2 times a year. Anyway, would they be allowed to come inside Ft Wilderness, hang out at our campsite with us and maybe go to the Chip and Dale Sing Along? If not do you have any recommendations of a good place that two families, each with two children could hang out and visit for the day? We could go to their house but they said since we are driving 9 hours and paying for gas to get to Orlando then they would drive to meet us there. We could go to DTD. But, the day they are coming is our day off from touring. I really want us to "rest" that day and not do a lot of walking out in the heat, etc. Any ideas?

Thanks for any info.

Each loop has a comfort station that has a laundry room as well. There are about 6 washers and 6 dryers in each. It's $2 a load to wash and the same to dry. There is a change machine so just bring 1's or 5's.

Your family can come to FW and park in the overflow lot and either ride a bus to your loop or you can drive up to get them. As long as they're out by midnight they won't need a parking pass.

The washing machines are supposed to be extra large, they are smaller than the regular machine I have at home. The driers wont fully dry a really heavy load completely. They are convenient but fairly expensive considering the size of the loads.

I agree with bigdisneydaddy. Don't expect to do large loads. IMO the dryers take forever to dry a small load.

Your husband's family should have no problems visiting. Have a good trip!:goodvibes

Mike, you are an excellent photographer, but I question your choice of subjects. I don't think I've ever seen pictures of washing facilities before. :lmao:

Got any pictures of the toilets? unoccupied hopefully! :lmao:

We would have more to discuss if they're occupied.

If I recall right you can get into a general at the front of FW, then your buddies could come and pick you up....

I would call and double check with the FW folks.... Let us know, I am planning to meet up with some friends later this year adn would like to know..
