View Full Version : Disney's 3 course meal-vs-other ships' 5 course meal
We have been on several cruise lines in the past, but never before with Disney. We are going on our first 7 day cruise with Disney in May and we are SO excited. Just wondering why Disney is the only ship we have ever been on that only posts a 3 course menu...appetizer, entree, dessert? All the other lines we have sailed post a 5-7 course meal...appetizer, soup, salad, entree, dessert. Do they do this to discourage you form getting the typical appetizer and salad, or is it just the way they print the menu?

The appetizer menu includes soups and salads and you are welcome to get as many of any of the items as you'd like. :)

All meals are all you can eat - so select what you want. I often mix and match the entrees as generally I like the meat of one meal and the veg. of another meal. The servers didn't seem to mind one bit.
Adults - get a Mickey Ice Cream bar for dessert once during your cruise. You know you want one. And you can still have the adult dessert as well.

The menu categories are not "appetizer, entree, dessert." The menu categories are "starters, main course, desserts."
I always ordered a two starters -- an appetizer and a salad. The waiter would bring the appetizer first, and then the salad. The downside is that there was usually only one green salad. It would have been nice to have had more of a choice.
