I have been cruising some of the other boards and people keep talking about getting Krispy Kreme donuts at places like Tubbi's, All Stars etc... FOLKS this is NOT a true KK experience. I think to make sure all of you have a ture KK experience we need a road trip to the KK store in Kissimee when the hot light is on! Since KK is open 24 hours a day I am flexible on when and where. (If requested, I would be glad to go just pick up the donuts and we could meet and eat someplace at Disney! I think I could keep them hot that long!)

Carol, if you like a K.K., they are much better when they are warm. {Insert drooling smilie here} I think it would be fun to go over there one of the mornings. I would that we would have enough cars to take everyone who would want to go. It might be a better idea at the beginning of the convention. People tended to get more warn out towards the end. Well, I know I did. ;)

Dayna,
That was kind of my idea. Of course, I can load a lot of Krispy Kremes in a car and deliver if we have too many people. (I wonder how many boxes I can get in my car?)

A lot of boxes will fit in my trunk. Of course, I've never done that. http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/lol.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/lol.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/lol.gif

The "Hot Light" is a red neon sign that the KK stores turn on when the donuts are coming out of whatever that machine is that cooks them. In college we knew exactly what time the hot light came on for the morining donuts (around 2 am, I think)
Thanks CarolA !!:) :) :)
I'm up for this "meet"!!

Sounds yummy, CarolA!
I love this idea! I am a donut-aholic!! So any time someone says donut or Krispy Kreme, I am so there!

Krispy Kreme is best known for its fresh, glazed, yeast-raised doughnuts, "Krispy Kreme Original Glazed," which stores announce to their customers with the unique glowing red "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign. Krispy Kreme also makes more than a dozen other varieties of yeast-raised and cake doughnuts, real fruit pies, cinnamon buns and several varieties of snack foods.
Oh, boy...another DIS mini-meet!!!

I have a KK about 10 minutes from my house and I have NEVER been there. When the first opened up there were so many traffic jams and such long lines (even at 2:00am) I gave up on wanting to go there. They still get lines, but at least the police don't have to direct the traffic any more. But for a mini- meet I'll make the sacrifice and force myself to eat a donut.

We have a Krispy Kreme about 5 minutes from our house that I avoid at all costs!! I just LOVE the warm, melt-in-your-mouth glazed originals!! YUM!!!!! But, if I got started I would soon have about 300-400 extra pounds on me!! LOL!!
HOWEVER, I will make an exception at DIS-Con!! I eat whatever I want when at WDW!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D

You can count me in on this meet. I miss the KK store so bad. Used to be a morning ritual to grab donuts there on my way to work at MGM.

It is nice to see the Americans on the DIS are just as doughnut crazy as us Canadians! We had a KK thread going on the Canadian Visitors board back before our last meet. We have just 1 KK store in Canada and it is in the Toronto area. I think the hot dougnut light is always on as there has been a constant lineup at the store since it opened last year. I was never a big fan of doughnuts but after my first KK I was hooked! I am very jealous that you can have a mini meet and KK dounuts and go to DisneyWorld!! i have to drive 1.25 hrs to get to the KK from where I live and 23 hrs to get to Disney. Have fun at your meet and have a cream filled for me!
Michelle,
Why don't you come and join us!?!?!?!?!:)
