We have nothing on the calendar for either the 22nd or the 29th. I'd say we'd prefer Red Robin, though. (Ohanafamily doesn't like CPK because they use cilantro in almost all their dishes.)

We've been having meets fairly often since at least 2004. We don't have a regular schedule, but they seem to be happening every 3 or 4 months these days. Welcome to the group :wave:.

We usually try to meet every other month and I think we have had at least 10 meets by now. We are DVC, too and we looove it!! We aren't going on the cruise, though. So, do you think you will be at this meet?

:goodvibes Thank you for the warm welcomes. We will be out of town at a wedding in Amarillo for the June meet. Hopefully, we can make another one. I have been wanting to eat at a Red Robin. You'll have to let me know how it is. They built one not too far from us in Flower Mound. I've driven by it numerous times and it always seems to do good business.

Okay, y'all got me wondering about how many meets we have had :scratchin. . .

I think there was at least one before I was around (maybe when Dan Murphy was in town out at that Dick Clark's restaurant that used to be at Grapevine Mills??), but here's what I have come up with. I am kind of surprised at the number :eek:! Unfortunately when Sony ImageStation shut down, some of my links to pictures vanished from the threads.

I remember the Rainforest meet in 2004. :thumbsup2 WOW!!! That was almost 4 years ago...... It has been great over the years seeing everyone and getting to know each other, sharing trip stories, and making new friends along the way. I hope in 2054 ? when my DVC membership runs out I can say I remember the great meet of 2004 at Rainforest cafe.:dance3:

Here is a big pre-welcome to Texas. My Mom lives just outside of Decatur in a itty bitty town called Chico. She loves it though. She has about 5 acres with a huge garden and chickens. Decatur is a real nice town. Small enough were you know people, but big enough to have a Walmart.

Just watch out for the rock haulers in the area. Some of them drive like crazy and if you follow too close behind you are sure to get a cracked windshield from a flying rock because they are not required to cover their loads they are hauling.

On 6/26 I have to take my DS 17 to DFW (AA airlines) he is flying to California to visit a friend and they are going to Las Vegas :cool1: for a week. What I want to do is drive him to the airport, park my car, and I will wait with him while he checks in and just up until he goes through security (unless they will give me a parental escort pass to go through security with him to the gate till he gets on the plane.) But, honestly, he, just turned 17 and he's flown many times and can handle going to the gate by himself...it's just a mom thing.:goodvibes

What my question is, where do I park and/or what is the parking situation. I know LAX but that won't help me here.:)

BTW-I'll be traveling to China July 4-16. My youngest sister is adopting and I am traveling with them. We will be in Guangzhou, about 1 1/2 hours from Hong Kong by train. We hope to fit in a trip to HK Disneyland. On our return trip, we have a 24 hour layover in Tokyo and will try to go to Tokyo Disneyland. Until yesterday, I did not have a room to sleep in while in China and I told my family I would just stay at HK Disneyland because I knew they would take care of me there. We now have a room in Guangzhou. I'll bring pictures to the next meet. DH will be staying home.

Our favorite thing to do is take a quick trip to WDW, however we don't have quite enough points yet and with airfare through the roof there is just no way we are going this year.

The next best thing is spending an afternoon with our DIS friends.:banana:

I just looked at our calendar and we're available any Sunday during the month of September. Saturdays are going to be even harder for us now since Ian has hopes of playing soccer. From what I understand all the games are on Saturdays. I'm still waiting to hear if they have enough 3year olds to make a team, though.

Well I'm off to get a little shut eye before one child or the other decides it's time to wake up for the day. I'm desperately trying to get our packing done by tomorrow night. It'll be a first if it happens, finish packing more than a day before we actually leave town.

I can't make it if it's on the 14th and maybe not on the 7th either. There is a tax deadline Monday Sept 15. I should be fine towards the end of the month. The next deadline won't be until Oct 15.
