As some of you know i've been having a few problems with my foot (well left toe). Well at the beginning of June i'm having an operation which means a month on crutches and no work!!!
WHAT ON EARTH AM I GOING TO DO FOR A MONTH?
I'm not the sitting still type, i already plan on buying colouring books...but any other ideas would be good..I'm having another operation this week but only having the week off (so im okay about that)
Any ideas anyone?

The bruising is colourful Thanks Nat...the Surgeon i saw yesterday said my bruises were 'very impressive'. Well if you're going to do things, you have to do them properly!:rotfl:

Get some good magazines & books to read, some films to watch. I remember when I had my knee operated on, I wasn't allowed to drive but as my parents & sister were both at work I had to stay at home during the day which really did my head in. We weren't on broadband then either so I couldn't spend the day on the internet due to it tying up the phoneline.
Hope the ops go alright:thumbsup2

I was off for 5 wks last year at this time, I tought I wouuld be demented but I was fine, the trouble is it takes you ages to do anything, for example it took me an hour to make a bowl of fruit salad, it is scary how easy it is to fill your day with nothing!

Hi Emily i have been off work for almost a month with nerve problems in my arm. Basically i have no grip in my right arm so i can't do anything. I have been watching tv and using my laptop. At least i have had good weather. Hope the op goes ok.

Have you ever tried card making or scrapbooking this is something that you could do? Do you enjoy reading books?
How about cross stitching or knitting that type of thing....I have never tried knitting but I am sure it would kill a few hours.
Hope it's a speedy recovery for you.

I hadn't actually thought about how long it would take to do something?
I figure then by the time i've got up, had coffee, been to the loo couple of times, washed, dressed, nap-time (well i'm off work), Eastenders, it will be bedtime again!
Thank you for all your ideas...i will be borrowing boxsets off all my friends, also DS games and colouring books. I will ring everyone i know also during that time. Reading lots of Disney books too!
