Whew..ok..so since im a loser and have been MIA on the boards for so long I totally hadn't caught up on your PJ. I just spent the morning reading every single word from page 18 thru 68!! My eyes are burning! lmao! And my comp went into PJ overload about 3 times lol. But I made it!! yay!!!! Everything looks amazing!! Your pin chasing stories were cracking me up! When you come in Oct I'll have to bring my pin book to show you our collection. SO glad someone else out there is a pin-head like me!!! Yay!!! :) I'm seriously impressed with Tim's donald collection! And omg!! I was freaking out when u were talking about the missing bags!!! I would have been hysterical too! and I would have probably hit anyone that was laughing at me for it!! lol

I just got back over to read your final installments; I completely understand how you felt when you got back and your luggage was missing. We experienced that when Kris' bags were gone at the beginning of our trip.

I'm excited to hear more about your at-home reception; I know I was so ready for ours by the time it rolled around. Although, I felt a little more stressed about it right beforehand just because there were so many more people there than at our wedding. Once it was over, it was such a relief :goodvibes

As for our dream team surprise and is one of the more common suprises, it's not anything super exciting, but I'm waiting to post it in my TR ;)

Speaking of DVC, Lynn... I just got my proposal packet in the mail... OMG, I loove that hardcover book they send. have you seen it yet? So fun! I think we're gonna hold off buying till January, but we're doing committed, so we're super excited. I think I like the beach Club Villas the best! Home resort, maybe? ::yes::

Ok I am almost a week away..the party is the 4th of July!!!!! I have a lot done,just a couple last minute things I need to get.

Alrighty well we are having the reception in a hall.It is nice perfect size holds up to 125 people...we are only having 75 which is great.

We will have a DJ WOO HOO!!! I will be wearing my dress, have a caterer,wedding cake,alcohol and have a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!

The reception is from 5-10 and at 5 we will be having cocktail hour,Tim and I will be out mingling with everybody...at 6 the DJ is going to have us introduced,maid of honor and best man and both sets of parents. They will be walking into "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith...and Tim and I are entering with Enter Sandman by Metallica..OUR DJ is AWESOME and he loved this idea..he is a huge Metallica fan along with Tim lol. The DJ said i'm not aloud to change it. We will have the beggining of the song playing when we enter..no words.

For food we are having 6 entrees(buffet)...Chicken Parm,Chicken Francaise,Roast Beef,Penne Vodka,Roasted Potatos and Green Beans Almondine. We will have salad and bread as well.

Dessert we will have my wedding cake which is going to look like our cake in Disney but 3 tiers,same flavor,chocolate chip with chocolate mousse. I will have a chocolate fountain set up and we will have assorted mini cakes and I want to make mickey head rice cryspy treats.

Floral..I just went to Wegmans and ordered a throw away bouquet and 3 bags of assorted pink rose pedals..I'm going to put the rose pedals on my cake table and guestbook table..I will also have 6 votive candles on the cake table.

Guestbook table will have rose pedals as well,our picture book from Randy(proofs) and an 8x10 picture of us in our silver mickey frame.

Here is our guestbook..I bought it at Geustbookstore.com....I am going to put a wedding picture in there instead of the EPic. People will fill out the pages and i will have them put them back in a bigger basket.....I can't wait to show you how it all turns out. If you want a fun guest book I totally say get it from there.The markers will be in a basket as well.

Wedding video-We will be playing our wedding video during dinner..the dj can hook up the sound so it will be great.



Centerpieces.I am going to have live Beta fish in the bowls and I'm going to fill the bowls with sand,crushed shells,shells and I want to find a cute castle to put in the bowls, 3 floating candles at the top...two votive candles on each side and rose peddles scattered around the bowl.

Now, you've inspired me to include some stuff on my at-home reception. That is if I ever make it through my Florida portion of everything. We just got our photos back from our photographer last night from the party in MI and she did a great job. I was a little worried after using Randy that I might be disappointed, but she still did great.

Everything sounds wonderful; I'm sure your guests will have a blast. I was surprised how much fun we all had at ours; I had never been to something like that before, so I wasn't sure how people would react. I love the tins for the kids; they are super cute! Btw~ the favors look familiar, were those what you were originally using when you were going to do the custom ceremony? :)

Your guests will love the video; I was amazed that people actually watched ours while we had it playing. :happytv:

Love the fish idea, too....just a little "heads up" about them! We've had betas for years....we finally figured out they need purified water not regular with the drops that a fish tank can use to get rid of chlorine. So...if they need extra water from the pet shop buy the jugs (we get the generic ones from the grocery store) of Purified Water and fill their bowls with that. Might also want to have little pouches of fish food (they make them for betas) so the guest taking them home doesn't have to run out right away and buy it....just an idea!!! :wave:

Now, you've inspired me to include some stuff on my at-home reception. That is if I ever make it through my Florida portion of everything. We just got our photos back from our photographer last night from the party in MI and she did a great job. I was a little worried after using Randy that I might be disappointed, but she still did great.

Everything sounds wonderful; I'm sure your guests will have a blast. I was surprised how much fun we all had at ours; I had never been to something like that before, so I wasn't sure how people would react. I love the tins for the kids; they are super cute! Btw~ the favors look familiar, were those what you were originally using when you were going to do the custom ceremony? :)

Love the fish idea, too....just a little "heads up" about them! We've had betas for years....we finally figured out they need purified water not regular with the drops that a fish tank can use to get rid of chlorine. So...if they need extra water from the pet shop buy the jugs (we get the generic ones from the grocery store) of Purified Water and fill their bowls with that. Might also want to have little pouches of fish food (they make them for betas) so the guest taking them home doesn't have to run out right away and buy it....just an idea!!! :wave:

It's been fun looking at your Disney wedding pictures and video, though I'm only up to about page 15.

I was curious as to why the picture in your post #211 with the castle in the background shows almost no people. It's a big wide-angle shot but there are only about 10 folks, in the middle of the day apparently. I've seen it more crowded in the Magic Kingdom at 2 am.

I have a ton of pics girls but for right now I just wanted to post some that my sister took.

We had a great time..in the morning while we were setting up I was bridezilla because I was told by my nephew that my cake was melting LOL...and I was just super annoyed in general....I honestly get the show bridezillas now and completely understand what half of the girls on that show go through!!!

For people who are not sure to go away and get married..DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A LOT LESS STRESS!!! TRUST ME!!!!!! The reception was great and all but I am sooo glad that our actual wedding day was in Disney,Tim and I seriously would have hated it if we had gotten married home. I was talking to my cousin at my reception,who is getting married in Sept, and she said the planning is driving her nuts too!!! God Bless her....now I just get to go to wedding now HAHA!!! I have 3 coming up so WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

YO just have to tell you how awesome our DJ was...I love him...any of you girls reading who are from South Jersy use Paul from DJs Available..he is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW everybody loved us walking into Enter Sandman by Metallica..it was Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tim was so happy about that! Everybody loved the video including the DJ...my 3 year old cousin Nicky rocked it out TNT HAHA..he danced for everybody it was so funny!!!!!

Now my cake disaster was amazing lol...The flipping bakery I swear it is thier fault...seriously the chocolate mousse was leaking through the top layer and the flipping idiots put gold leaves in with my flowers,well they came right out LMAO..They were not in my picture lol...and the top was like sliding off lol. The problem was the idiots did not put the 3 pillar things inside the cake that hold it together...people were saying oh it's the weather that's why it was falling apart umm no if my cake in FL survived being outside then HELLO lol. When my MIL was cutting the cake it was falling apart,it was so tacky. oh Well.

Disaster number 2 was my flipping dress...I was dancing and walking over to my sisters BF because he was taking pictures so I was doing some stupid pose and while I was doing it somebody stepped on my dress while I was like running to the camera and that's when my hook in the back of my dress broke and unzipped lol and I'm on the floor holding my chest to hold the dress up screaming HELP and laughing at the same time LMAO...the girls rush me into the bathroom,Tim's step Aunt has a big safety pin and saves the day for me lol!!! THANK YOU AUNT MARCIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no way I was taking my dress off.

Disaster 3 I'm dancing and somebody spills red wine all over my dress....everywhere lol....took it to the cleaners and they said no problem we will get it out and it will take 2 weeks,THANK YOU!!!!!

Alright so other than that we had fun lol. I'm glad it's all over,I'm looking forward to other weddings :)

Lynn I totally agree. It wasn't that hot on July 4th. Not over 80 degrees or so and your cake was INSIDE. I'd speak to the manager and get that dealt with. They clearly knew that your reception was in July, they should have expected it to be hot.

I totally agree about the at-home reception stress. Getting married at Disney was totally worth it; our reception turned out great and was a lot of fun but it was so stressful! I definitely would agree that destination weddings are the way to go!

I'll bet even the slippery cake and the stumbling wine lover bring a smile to your face as the years pass (maybe not your dress being forcibly removed on the dance floor...but you never know). You will find yourself cherishing the memories of these first few years & I hope they are followed by many picture perfect and unintentionally funny moments.

As I sit here and type, I recall walking out of Epcot hand in hand with my husband while on our honeymmon (my first Disney trip ever at 22 years old!) in May of 1993. I remember watching the wall of strollers in amazement. I said to him "Maybe that will be us someday... pushing a stroller with a sleeping (or screaming) little one of our own". Little did I know that some pixie dust (ahem) had been at work... our honeymoon was extremely productive. Now 15 years and three children later, I can't think of anyone's hand I'd rather be holding. Yet we always make room for our 2 sons & little girl.

But I must say...I love southern New Jersey's coastline...if you move 1 hour east you can forego the Philly inland area and be "down the shore"! :goodvibes Or, you can just follow your master plan and head "home" to Orlando. I like that idea too! It's a great one. :thumbsup2

Congrats again. And I may be in the minority, but I think it's okay to move on from the cake issue. What they did was wrong but it may be healthier to leave all that stress behind and focus on the beautiful life ahead.

As we were walking thru the GF lobby, a little girl stopped and starred as we walked by, mouth open and everything :eek: Our photographer turned to us and said "Another Disney wedding sold. Now we just have to wait 20 years." It was so true!! So if you want a Disney wedding for your daughter, on your next trip hang out near the WP or SPB (I know the WP has a sign out front with the times of all the weddings that day) and get her hooked!

That is the ONLY movie theater we go to! It's only about 10-15 minutes from where we live, and love it! We found that they're great about keeping EVERYTHING clean, have great customer service, and are otherwise really good.

I love disney and jokingly mentioned getting married there but ever since I have been thinking more and more about it! I wasn't sure as coming from the uk it would be a little difficult to organise but having seen your trip report I am totally convinced. I love your pictures and the fact that you went to MK straight after- i love that! I think my family would love it too!

I am torn as to where I would stay though as I hate waiting for buses but I do think the grounds at POR are really pretty. I was thinking of spending a couple nights at the animal kingdom lodge too- that place looks so pretty

Ok if you hate the busses then I say stay at a resort with the monorail..if you can afford it stay deluxe..POR transportation was horrid.Nice resort but we will never stay there again.

I'm soooo kicking myself that I never got ahold of you while I was in WDW the weekend after your wedding. :headache: It looks like you got to meet a lot of other DisBrides though! Lynn, although I am late getting through all of it, I want you to know, I read the ENTIRE thread, start to finish... The pictures are wonderful, the video was heart wrenching (in a good way-brought tears to my ears, I mean eyes), the TR was incredible (well done, you're a very good story teller), the weather seemed perfect as did the bride and groom. Both your and his parents are adorable, the SIL "sock incident" aside - and let's face it, we've both heard much worse wedding stories/problems, socks are minor although annoying. It seems to me, this ENTIRE wedding was blessed from start to finish! Now, the real trick is going to be to not pull out all that beautiful red hair of yours getting the reception planned... LOL. It will definately be the hard part, but as my father always tells me when I get frazzled, "keep your eye on the bouncing ball". What I mean to say is, you WILL get through it - and just look forward to that October trip back to WDW. :) Both you and your new hubby, who I've now decided should be called, "The Duck Man" based on all the trading pin stories, will get through the reception with as many wonderful memories, and hopefully photographs as you did the wedding, and just remember, "The wedding is only the beginning, the marriage lasts forever..." Well done and God Bless. Congratulations to you both!!!

I do love the Advantagebridal site. I ordered a Symphony veil from there which was delivered yesterday (only took about 5 days for delivery). I really like it but is two tier and in trying in on I think I perfer a single tier. I might order another one (there are so many great viels on that site) and see which one I like better.

I admit I didn't read everyone's responses (Wow I cannot imagine how much time you spend doing that!) but I am in disbelief!!! First, you were a gorgeous gorgeous beautiful bride!! WOW!! =] Your hubby is adorable and you guys look perfect for each other! Your video was incredible and you look like you could feature disney weddings!! Are you moving down here? That's GREAT!!! I am totally over doing hair too.. it is funny, I've been sooo sick when I go into work, all stuffed up, and I think it's from color products! I want to do skin and work with a plastic surgeon. So the industry up there is slow?? it's not so hot down here either ... I've had the hardest time building b/c of how slow it is ... hmm... You were such a beautiful bride! I've been catching up on your PJ and I just love it. I hope it's okay if I steal your hairstyle for one of my inspirations. Also, I was wondering if you had a close-up picture of your nails from your wedding. I've been wanting to get that short acrylic look, but not able to get the idea across when I get my nails done. When I got my nails done I didn't have them put a tip on...my girl just put the acrylic over top my natural nail..this is the best pic I could find where you can see my nails pretty good.

Lynnie, I followed your PJ with great interest earlier this year, and just wanted to tell you how GORGEOUS you looked (I'm sure no one's told you that yet, of course :rotfl: ) now that I have finished catching up on your PJ all these months later. You looked sooo radiant, and your hair was awesome. OK, I really have nothing to say but gush and gush, but you guys looked so happy and everything sounded wonderful, so very belated congratulations :banana:
