Hiya, I have been a lurker for quite some time, and I thought i'd say hello. I do have a question though...

We have purchased a Four day disney park base ticket + water parks. Does the ticket dictate what order you have to attend the parks in?. Ie: Epcot first, then magic kingdom, etc.

The only reason i ask, and i'm sure i'm asking a really stupid question, is that a colleauge at work is also going to Disney later on in the year and she is adamant her tickets dictate what order she has to go the parks in. I didn't think this was the case. I may be wrong though.

I can't check the actual ticket as the travel agent has them on order.

Thanks in adavance.

Absolutely not, you go where you want when you want, your friend is quite wrong!

Also, the base ticket is one park per day, but you may repeat parks.

You could do two days at Epcot and two days at Magic Kingdom, or four days at Animal Kingdom, or of course one day at each park. Each day is your choice, but once you enter the park, that is the only park you may visit that day unless you add on the $45 park hopper option.

Welcome to Disboards.
As said you can use them any way you want but I am very suprised a UK TA selling you a 4 day ticket, did you ask for this or did they tell you what you wanted? is it a hopper? if it is they retail around £150 is that around what you paid? for a similar price you could have a 14 day unlimited access to everything Disney, parks, water parks, pleasure Island, Wide world of sports and Disney Quest.
If you are a 1st time visitor I will be very suprised if you have enough with 4 days.

:rotfl2: your friend is definatly wrong !

I agree with wayne that a 4 day ticket may not suit your needs.....do you have an idea of what parks you want to visit on what days ?

Welcome to the disboards :)

Thanks for all your replies. We don't have time to spend more than one day in each park. Were going in August, so I know some of the parks will be open for longer.

There are seven of us going in total, none of which are young children, they are 14+. I think they will be more interested in the thrills and not so much into the characters. Its a bit of a mix, two of us have been before whilst the other 5 have not.

This is going to be a once time trip for us, so were planning on doing as much as we can, were doing universal and seaworld etc.

When we purchased the ticket we knew that we could only spend a day in each park, thats why we opted for the base ticket. I don't think we would have any need to hop either. i think we will need another holiday to get over this holiday, but we are really looking forward to it.

How many time do we here that on here?:rotfl2:
Trip of a lifetime, never going again etc. I remember saying that in 1993, August will be my 19th time. Already booked 20th at Xmas and 21st next August in the planning.
Enjoy your trip, Florida is very addictive.

I know you have probably heard it a million times:) lol

But it will be.. My partner has other places he wants to travel, and also after taking out our first mortgage when we come back, i doubt we will even go on holiday for a very long time. I however, would go back to Florida a million times if I could as I have been before, and no how addictive it is. but I don't think Partner would be as keen as it took me a while to talk him into this trip. His views might change once were over there though... I hope.

You could be suprised. I never wanted to visit Florida, I had never been to a theme park in UK, hated the thoughts of rides. I wanted to visit Australia, Safari in Africa etc.
Now can't visit enough, will do any ride/coaster in the world, luckily we can afford trips elsewhere inbetween Florida, planning Alaksa cruise in May 09 but if I only had money for 1 place it would be Florida.
Very difficult for people starting out with a mortgage but we were in the same boat 20 years ago, struggled to pay for 2 weeks in spain a year. Hopefully It will get easier for you over the years.

He is in the same mindset as you were. I can't wait to prove him wrong when we are there though. I know he will love it, even if he secretly pretends not to. :rotfl:

Welcome to the DIS :yay:

If you only plan to have one day in each park, make sure you get there early to make the most of the lower early crowds to get on the main attractions and then make us of Fastpass to avoid long lines later in the day.

You can leave the park and get your hand stamped and return later in the day so during the hotest part of the day you can go back to your resort/villa for a siesta then return to the park later in the day when it a little cooler to enjoy the evening parades/fireworlks etc.
