Searched the boards and didn't see this question, so hopefully it's not a repeat.
I know that I can book the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood Brown Derby and use 2 table service credit to 'pay' for it. From what I understand the Fantasmic Dinner package includes app, entree and desert, but the dining plan does not include the app. So, if I'm booked under the fantasmic dinner plan do I get an app or does the dinning plan override it?
Anyone been to Fantasmic Dinner Package with the new dinning plan?
Thanks
According to some posters this year since it's a package and the meal package includes appetizer you are allowed the appetizer because you have the package and the fact that Disney includes this option under the regular, basic dining plan is a bonus for those who do it. Interesting enough the Candlelight Processional has a meal package that's usually allowed under the basic dining plan, too. It includes an appetizer as part of that dinner package. Some who posted say it's good for this year, too and they have done it for Fantasmic. The big question is whether or not the ones who have suceeded in doing it are on the basic or the deluxe plan which does get an appetizer, anyway. I wasn't able to get an answer I really trusted on this one.
There are others who are saying you don't get the appetizer. They say if you call dining reservations they will say no on the basic plan for getting the appetizer for the Fantasmic package.
Sorry, this is not a lot of help. Maybe, there will be some new posters that will give this a good answer.

so if I want to book a Fantasmic package, do I just call WDW-Dine and say I want the Fantasmic Package for x date? Would they know the dates availalbe? i.e. which dates Fantasmic is taking place, cause it does not take place every day, correct? Does anyone know at what time is the earliest sitting at Mama Melrose's? TIA

from what i understand mama melrose was the only of the 2 table service package restaurants that were still allowing the app.
if you call dining they will tell you no the app is no longer included.
if i wanted to eat there i would book it and then if i got the app it would be a bonus, but i wouldnt not book it because of not getting an app.
yes call dining as soom as possible, it books very quickly!!

We ate at Mama Melrose last week, had the Fantasmic Package and used the Basic Dining Plan.
Appetizer WAS included!
We were told what a great deal it was since the package includes the appetizer and it was still covered by the Basic DDP!
