I used to use Muvees to create great slideshows with music, fades, etc, but it didn't let me change the music. So now I'm looking for something else where I can change the music, but still create a fun slideshow. Anyone have any experience with any software like this?
I've just downloaded a free trial of Pictureshow 4 - anyone have experience with this?

I think that ProShow Gold (http://www.photodex.com/products/proshowgold/)is a popular choice around here.
I used Sony's Vegas Movie Studio (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com) to put this (http://www.stagepics.co.uk/temp/pdf3.wmv) together. At the risk of sounding "precious" I am an amateur musician, and I find it very important the the change of photograph relates to the way that the music moves. I wanted more control than I had found in some other packages.

I agree with Alan, I want good control over synchronizing the audio and images. Vegas or Premiere are the high end ways to do this when you want the best, ProShow is not quite as accurate but a lot easier and less $$$.
You pays yer money and you takes yer software! ;)
These are of the same 49 second piece of a show done in ProShow, the exe is much higher quality but PCs with slower video cards may have trouble with that version (the mpg is a lot larger file size).

and the same file in exe format:
