So originally, I was supposed to take a solo trip to Pop in February of this year, but life got in the way, and I had to cancel. I was majorly bummed out! I had been planning for a long time, had all the ADRs I wanted, had all my meets planned out, just everything was perfect. Then boom. Life.
Compound this with the fact that two people from work were going to WDW during April, and you get a very unhappy Marcia! So in late March/early April, I started looking around, just putting my feelers out. I called up WDW, got an AP rate at Pop for April 30-May 7, booked a flight using Skymiles, and I was off and running! Got all my ADRs set too.
Then the Free Dining Offer came out. And I decided I needed to do that in September as well. And I was going to upgrade to Deluxe Dining! Well, fast forward a little bit, and my mom decides we need to take a family trip in August, so I needed to cancel my trip in Sept. But, I was majorly bummed about not getting to do the Deluxe (dining plan does *not* make sense for our family, btw). Quick call to Disney Dining, I switched a bunch of ADRs around, then transferred over to ressies and changed my Apr/May trip to the Deluxe Dining Plan!
So yay! The best of both worlds!
Of course, I planned my flights so that I arrived as early as possible on arrival day, and left as late as possible on departure day. Gotta squeeze in as much as possible. Oh, and if you hadn't figured out from my "AP rate" above, I have an Annual Pass. And I'm sure making the most of it!
So my flight left Newark on April 30 at about 6:30am. Had to get up around 4 or something, and my wonderful mother drove me to the airport (thanks mom!). When I had checked in online the night before, I got an exit row seat, which was excellent. Plenty of room. Like it mattered...I was so tired I slept the entire flight!
Landed around 9:15, made my way over to the Magical Express, and was first in line to go to Pop! I guess I should mention that I had made an ADR for Kona Cafe for b'fast at 11am. Yeah, I like to cut it close! But amazingly enough, the DME left a few minutes later,

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05005.jpg
and I was checking into Pop at 10:30am.
Since I had just switched to a package so close to my arrival date, it had been really rushed, complicated, whatever, so I forgot to mention my room request (which was on my original ressie - just asked for close to Classic Hall)! Well, that didn't turn out to be a problem whatsoever! I was given a room in the 60's, right at the intersection of the T in building 5, room 5226. And guess what?? My room was ready! Got my key with my Dining Credits on it, and went off to the room.
Here ya go, they're from my last day, but anyway, they're pics of the room!

But right. So I ran to my room (so close, nice and easy!), dropped my extra bag, and was on my way to the Polynesian! Hopped a cab (18 bucks later! holy cow!), and I made it just in time for my 11am ADR. Phew!
Now, I love the Poly. I stayed there with my mom last August, it was our first time on site, and it was heavenly! So it holds a very special place in my heart.
I had a wonderful breakfast at Kona, you can read about it in my dining report (linked in my sig).
Then I was on my way to the MK! Originally, I planned to head straight to MGM (had Fantasmic! dinner package later), but it was so early, and I was so close, that I couldn't resist heading over to MK. So I hopped the monorail at 11:50am, and was walking through to my happy place just a few moments later.
I have to go to work now, but I will be back later to tell you all about the MK on April 30!
next up: MK in the early afternoon :goodvibes

Great start to TR. So lucky to have your room ready so early. All the times I've been to WDW the rooms only been ready one time upon arrival. Heading over to your dining review. Looking forward to the next post.

i'm baaaaack, finally!
Wed, April 30, Day 1, Part 2
So when I last left you, I was about to head over to the MK for my first dose of the magic! I was so excited! I took the monorail over, and arrived at 11:50am. I stopped for lots of Photopass pics going up Main Street, and I love how a bunch of them turned out, but I don't have the CD yet (doing a share once again, being ordered end of the month). But I just look so excited, they really captured the moment!
Then, I decided to head over to Tomorrowland, as that's where I usually start. First stop - grab a FP for Space Mountain, of course! Then I walked right onto Buzz, and here's the red-neck ride pic
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05008.jpg
You know you love it! After I got off, I took a picture of my watch, because the scene in front of me, I almost didn't believe!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05009.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05010.jpg
If you look closely, you can see that at 12:30pm, there was only a 20 minute wait for Space Mountain! My FP wasn't up yet, so I figured, I may as well do standby. And the wait only ended up being 15 minutes! I was so amazed, it was awesome! And this wasn't even a recommended park for the day. Sweet!
Then my trip notes say "rode some other rides". LOL. I think this early in my trip, I wasn't too sure I'd be doing the blow-by-blow I've done in the past, but that quickly changed! I'm just so used to writing down everything, that I was soon doing it again :).
So who knows. But I know I rode Pirates, with no wait at all. Seriously, that right side line is the best. Why everyone goes left is beyond me!
Looks like I rode Big Thunder at some point, because I have a picture!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05011.jpg
Took the train to Toon Town, and then walked the "secret" path over to Tomorrowland to use my FP for Space. Also in my notes, I see that I saw Philharmagic at some point, and also got and used a FP for Peter Pan. As you can see, my anal-retentiveness about my notes does come in handy, because when I just go back and "remember" later, I don't remember much! Hehe.
Must have ended in Fantasyland with that ride on Peter Pan though, since I have this picture
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05012.jpg
I'm pretty sure it was of everyone getting situated for the afternoon parade. I also got one of the castle as I walked out
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05013.jpg
Also took some pics of the Pirate and Princess Party setup stuff on my way out of the park.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05014.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05015.jpg
Then, I was off to MGM, for some rides if I could, my dinner package, and Fantasmic!
So, I walked out of the MK, over to the Contemporary, to catch a bus to MGM. I arrived at MGM around 3:30ish. Plenty of time before my 4:40 ADR to get in some rides!
First order of business was to FP ToT. Funny, don't think it ended up being necessary, but I got it anyway. Then made my way over to the Rock'n'Rollercoaster, to hit up the single rider line! Love that single rider line!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05016.jpg
Did the RnR by the single line twice, then headed over to Star Tours, to see if I could ride, but alas, the wait was posted at 40 minutes, so I grabbed a FP instead. About that time, I needed to head over to the Brown Derby to check in for my ADR.
When I checked in, it was noted on my ressie that I was celebrating my Bday, so the wonderful check in guy gave me a Bday pin, and wrote my name on it, since I didn't have one yet. What a sweetie! Then, I had an awesome dinner, which can be read about in my dining report.
After dinner, I had plenty of time to kill before heading over to Fantasmic! Still, my notes haven't picked up, but I rode "more RnR", hehe. Probably at least a few times! Then used my FP for ToT, and seem to remember the regular line having no one in it anyway. So much for needing the FP! But who was I to complain! Seriously, these low crowds were pumping me up.

I never did use that FP for Star Tours, because I decided I'd rather head over to the Tune in Lounge, and say hi to one of my favorite bartenders, David. Started off with a boring Captain and diet (my usual at home), then had to get something more fruity and fun to take over to Fantasmic with me. Oh, I did meet a nice couple while sipping my first drink though. They come down pretty often, and love to hang out at the bar! My kind of people! So I settled up (love that DDE card!), and took my Picnic Punch to go. Now, David asked me if I needed a glow cube, since he knows how many I already have. I told him not to worry about it, but I'd regret that later! (keep reading!)
So I headed over to my special entrance to Fantasmic, and got a nice aisle seat, few rows from the top. I was very pleased with my location.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05025.jpg
In front of me sat a really nice couple, with a little kid who was so cute! His name was Christian, and we got to talking, me and Christian that is! He told me all about his trip, and he even shared one of his lollypops with me. What a sweetie! I think he was like 3 years old. Anyway, at some point, a couple of kids behind us pulled out glow cubes! Can you see where this is going??? Of COURSE Christian wanted a glow cube too! Now, why hadn't I just taken the cube that David offered me?? Could have handed it right over and made the kid's night! Oh well, he was disappointed, I felt horrible, but his dad ended up buying him some glowing necklace, so it ended up being okay in the end.
At some point, I took a self portrait, cause I do that when I'm by myself
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05026.jpg
Then before we knew it, it was time for the show! Now, I've seen this show probably 5 times now, but I still love it! I tried taking some pics, but nothing really came out. Let's see, here are a couple of the best ones

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05041.jpg
I really enjoyed myself! And of course, as soon as it was over, I booked it out and made it to the Pop bus before a line even built. Awesome! Got back to Pop, stopped to pick up my refillable mug, and I was in bed by 9:30, but it was the end of a very long day. And I had another really long one up ahead of me.
up next: early morning at Epcot, and i'm really bad at estimating time!

Great installment! I have never seen Fantasmic! I hope to on my solo trip. We always end up missing it for one reason or another (usually because my kids are too tired). I am excited to see it!
And the Tune In lounge sounds fun! Do you know if you get an ADR at Prime Time can you request to eat at the bar?

The great thing about doing a solo trip is you get to do what you want too and don't have tired kids to deal with! That's why I got to see Fantasmic for the first time this year and I have told them all what they missed!!

Fantasmic! is so great! definitely catch it on your solo trip, you will love it!
to eat at the bar, you don't need an ADR at prime time. you can just show up and order whatever at the bar. but do an ADR at PTC anyway, it's so much fun!

Thurs, May 1, Day 2, Part 1
Okay, just want to backtrack a bit, I took a couple of pics on the way back to my room on my first night. First, the big Mowgli and Baloo outside my stairs
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05042.jpg
and the towel animal in my window!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05043.jpg
Anyway, so like I said, I got to bed early, and set my wakeup call for 6:30am. Grabbed my mug and headed to fill it with what would become my usual: about 1/3 hot chocolate, fill to top w/coffee, and 3 splendas. Cut down on the nastiness of the Disney "coffee". I got kinda used to it, and am actually not *dreading* it when I head back with the fam in August.
Then I set to my morning routine. After filling up mug, back to room to shower. Spray down with sunscreen, dress, finish first mug of coffee mixture. Put out tip for mousekeeping, grab bag (already made sure it was packed full of what I need the night before), head out the door, stop to refill mug with my "usual", and head out for the bus stop. There you have it, same thing I did every morning. I will not be repeating it for every day :). Will just refer to "morning routine" :thumbsup2
So I was at the bus stop at like 7:30 or so, way earlier than expected. I really thought it would take me longer to get ready in the morning. But a bus pulled up for Epcot literally 2 minutes later. And so, I reached the turnstiles at about 8am. For a 9am opening. Early much? Well, yes. So much so that I was the first one there! I was thrilled though. My first day, and I was so ready to go.
Not too long later, another family appeared behind me. We got to chatting, and it just so happens they were a Tour Guide Mike family as well. I realized that I recognized them from dinner the night before at the Brown Derby! Small world! So of course, we chatted the time away, and before we knew it, it was time to head through the turnstiles. Since I was the first one through, I took 2 seconds to snap a couple of pics before heading to the actual rope drop.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05045.jpg
It was my first look at the beautiful topiaries all over Epcot :lovestruc
So right, even with my momentary stop, I was right up against the rope, toward the right side, of course, ready for the stampede to Soarin. Here was my view

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05047.jpg
When it got closer to 9am, the characters started coming around, and I only managed to get Chip, but a super close-up
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05048.jpg
Then it was time to drop that rope! Count down from 10, and we're off! I had never been at the very front before, so that was pretty cool. We made our way over to the Land, and I was also the first person to be able to grab a FastPass! Woo Hoo! The return time was 9:42am. Perfect! Love getting those early FPs, means I get to have more throughout the day! It ended up being a pretty slow day anyway (thanks TGM!), but still, I was very pleased.
Once I had my FP in hand, I went straight to the standby line, and was on before I knew it. Without even asking specially, I got to sit in the front row. Talk about luck! I usually like to ask to wait for the front anyway, so it was nice to get right on for a change :woohoo:
Now normally, I would head right over to see Crush, but I had breakfast plans at 10:40am at Cape May, so I knew that wouldn't work out. So I went on Living with the Land instead. Just to kill some time till I could grab another FP for Soarin. Not that there's anything wrong with the ride, I do enjoy it.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05049.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05052.jpg
After Living with the Land, it was time to grab another FP for Soarin, and to ride it with my first FP. Awesome, as usual. Although, since I was a bit pressed for time, I didn't request to wait for first row, and sat in the second instead. (if you couldn't tell by now, my anal retentive note taking had begun by now ;) ).
So I had to take a walk through World Showcase to get to the International Gateway. Snapped some pics of more topiaries on the way.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05055.jpg
When I got to the International Gateway, there was a Friendship Boat waiting, so I decided to take it instead of walking. I'm not so familiar with these boats, I should've just walked. Because I'm a moron, so I got off at the B'walk (first stop, I was getting worried about time) and walked over from
there to the Beach Club. Yes, I'm crazy. Should have just stayed on the boat. Oh well, still made it by 10:35am for my 10:40 ADR. Bit of a mixup with my ADR though, they had me scheduled on another day, but they fit me in anyway. I already posted some of these pics in my dining report, but the characters belong here too!

Gotta stop here for now, I have to head to work. Overnight. Much fun.

Hey Marcia! Don't get scared...I'm not stalking you--- I just enjoy your reports! And, as always, I'm so impressed by your pictures. What a great time to go visit with all the topiaries!
Thanks for the inspiration for the Pop mug concoction. I was wondering if I should invest in one if the coffee is so-so, as rumoured. I'll make sure to try the "Marcia special".

Thurs, May 1, Day 2, Part 2
So when I left you, I was leaving the Beach Club, headed back to Epcot, after my breakfast at Cape May Cafe. As I took the walk back through the International Gateway, I formulated my plan. It was definitely time to get another FP, and so I headed for Mission: Space. Figured, I already had one for Soarin saved from before, and I wouldn't need one for Test Track, since I could use single rider. Here's a pic I snapped on my way from World Showcase back to M:S.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05075.jpg
So, with my trusty M:S FP in hand, I of course then headed over to the Land to make use of my Soarin FP. Man, do I love those Fast Passes! My notes get a little slack here, so I apologize. But I do know that I got to ride in the front row of Soarin, without even asking for it, which is always nice. And then I rode Test Track single rider at some point, and also Spaceship Earth. This was the first time I had ridden SE since it reopened, since I missed it when I was there in November. I thought the end was stupid. I don't remember much about the ride before, since the last time I rode was 2001, but yeah, that's what I have to say about that.
Then I had a date in Japan with Miyuki. I love watching this lady make candy. I knew I would be cutting it close though, because Miyuki started at 2:15pm, and my ADR for Akershus was at 2:40pm. But this was the only chance I was going to have to see her this day, and it's a good thing I did, because the other days I came back, she was off! So here she is, doing her magic

I left a bit early to make sure I made my ADR, although, I did stop a couple times along the way to enjoy the scenery!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05081.jpg
And then I saw it. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs topiary!!! I was sooooo excited! I think I have mentioned it before, but Bashful is my favorite Disney character, EVER! So I was a bit giddy :rotfl:
the whole gang

Then I busted my behind to get over to Norway on time for my ADR. I checked in at just about 2:40pm, I know, I should have gotten there earlier, but I had other priorities. So it meant I had to wait a while before my name was even called to get in line to have my picture taken with Belle. So, I took that time to grab a FP to Maelstrom, since I figured I may as well ride it since my FP window was up. And by the time I finished lunch, it would be time to ride. Perfect.
So I finally made it in, and got my pics with Belle. I did take a picture of that picture, but not until I got home (since the picture is included now, I got to keep it, so didn't feel the urgency to snap away like I did at Tusker), so anyway, it's all the way on the last page of my pictures, and I'm trying to go in chronological order, since it's easier for me that way. Suffice to say, the pics came out nice. And it was nice to be able to take it home.
Lunch was fine, you can read about it in my dining report, as usual. But I will show you the lovely ladies who came around while I ate.
First was Princess Aurora, who told me that we matched. I just nodded and smiled, although, inside I was thinking "Um no, lady, I'm wearing red, you're wearing pink. I do NOT do pink. Thankyouverymuch!" Tee hee! Sorry, the tomboy in me is rearing its ugly head ;) . You can see for yourself, but we will not belabor the point
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05090.jpg
Next was Ariel. She didn't talk much.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05092.jpg
Mary Poppins was more fun! She asked me about where I was from, and how I flew in and told me that my umbrella must be broken, etc. It was cute!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05093.jpg
Snow White and I discussed Bashful, as he's my fav, as you already know. She told me he was working in the mines.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05094.jpg
Yay princesses! I was like a giddy little girl, since I've never done the whole princess thing in my life. So I had a fun lunch.
Now you would think that my next move would be to ride Maelstrom with my FP, since I was right there...right? Yeah no. I decided I would press my luck and run over to the Land just in case Soarin hadn't run out of FP yet. Well, guess what. Of course they had run out! It was after 4pm, if I remember correctly. And while I had already ridden 3 times, I really should not have bothered to try for another FP, especially since I still had one already waiting in my pocket! So yeah, I'm nuts, and it's a good thing I was alone, cause if anybody was with me and I made them do that walk, just to walk *straight* back to Maelstrom, they would've killed me! Solo trips people. Solo trips. No one to second guess you!
So right. I didn't actually have to go as far as the Land, just to the board that tells you there are no FP left, so yup, I turned right back around, and retraced my steps right back to Maelstrom. Which I subsequently got to ride in my own row. There was a bit of a line, so I was glad I had the FP. And no, this isn't a must-ride for me, but if I can do it, I'll do it. I even tried to take pics of the troll, but they didn't come out too well.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05099.jpg
We debarked at the perfect time, just as the doors were opening for the movie, so I got to walk right on through. I hate it when you *just* miss the doors and have to wait 5 mins or so. This, coming from the girl who wasted WAY more than 5 minutes to check if Soarin was out of FP's :rolleyes1
After Maelstrom, then I decided it was time to use my FP for Soarin. I know. I walk around alot. ...solo... So I got to ride in the front row, once again. I was very pleased with my ratio. And with the one time I waited standby (1st thing in the morning), and with my 3 FP's, I never waited more than 10 minutes, which was awesome. And yeah, riding Soarin 4 times in one day, that's pretty darn good too, if I do say so myself. Shows you how dead it was that day, which was perfect for me!
There was one more thing I needed to accomplish in Epcot, and that was to see Off Kilter. I would have included the British Invasion as well, but I think they were off that day. Don't worry, I got to see them another day! But it's a good thing I got to see Off Kilter this day, and my other days then they were off. Phew! I did have to make a pitstop though, over in France. Yes, I know pitstops are usually on the way, not past where you're going, but I was jonesing and I hadn't had one yet. The "one" I refer to is the Grey Goose Lemon Citron Slushie. Heaven! I wanted a drink with my music! So I missed about the first 2 minutes of Off Kilter, but that's okay.
Okay, tangent...know how I'm going through the pictures chronologically? Well, I have pictures with Donald Duck in Mexico! So I'm guessing that was on my way back to Maelstrom. So that goes a few paragraphs up, but I'm just gonna stick it right here!

So after they were done, I was done with Epcot for the day. I had plans in the MK area for the evening, so I needed to start making my way over in that direction. I'm going to start another post for the next part, as I'm unsure of how long this has gotten and how many pictures are in it (worried about going over picture limit!).
next up: evening at MK, and dinner @ Narcoossee's w/BFF parents

Thurs, May 1, Day 2, Part 3
Alright, Off Kilter was done, and I was done with Epcot, and I needed to get to the Magic Kingdom. So since I was so close to the International Gateway, I decided to walk over to the Beach Club to catch a bus to the MK. This worked out very nicely, as it's a nice walk (yeah, I did that walk a few times that day :rolleyes1 ), and once I reached the bus stop, it was only a few minutes before the bus came.
My notes tell me that I arrived at the MK at 6:45pm. Now, I had dinner ressies that I was very much looking forward to, at Narcoossee's, with my best friend's parents, but that wasn't until 8:40pm, so I had some time to play! Once again, I slacked on the notes! But I definitely went on Pirates of the Caribbean because I have pictures, albeit, not very good pictures. "we wants the redhead!"
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05108.jpg
I also rode Snow White, and probably did a couple of other things that didn't have lines. Oh yes, of course, Pirates and Snow White were no lines, otherwise I would not have bothered. I had other rope drop days awaiting me at MK! So I really don't know what else I did, but at some point, I decided it was time to head over to the Grand Floridian.
My original plans were to have dinner, then monorail it back to the MK to catch Spectro, since I was unsure of when I would actually get a chance to see it. So we'll see how that worked out.
On my way out, I stopped at the Chapeau Shop, because I was on a mission to get Goofy pirate ears, since I had the P&P Party coming up. I had looked in the store by the Pirates ride, but they were out, so they recommended the Chapeau. Luckily, the Chapeau had them, so I made my purchase, and the lady checking me out noticed my birthday pin and told me I should stop over at the Confectionery since it was my b'day. Okay then, that's what I did! And the cashier told me this wasn't normal, but that it was pixie dust, and she gave me a caramel apple for free! So yeah, just my experience, but please don't go in demanding thing, thanks! :goodvibes
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05113.jpg
Took the boat over to the GF, and I actually arrived at Narcoossee's way early, at 8pm. I'm really bad at estimating how long it's going to take me to get places, if you hadn't already figured that out! :lmao: BFF's parents weren't there yet, so I checked in and let them know that the rest of my party had not yet arrived. I didn't ask for a window seat or anything, I actually completely forgot until I was sitting waiting and heard other people. Oh well!
Around 8:30, my phone rang, and it was BFF's parents. They were in the lobby, where was I? Well, I was in the lobby, and I didn't see them! Turns out, they were in the hotel lobby, I was in the restaurant lobby. Oops! Got that one figured out eventually. Here's the lobby I was in
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05114.jpg
Also took some pics outside of the surrounding areas

Dinner was amazing! We were seated right around our ADR time, and to my pleasant surprise, were given a perfect window table!!! Pixie Dust!!! It was a perfect view of the Castle, and I was thrilled, since I knew we'd be there for Wishes! I didn't actually take any pics out the window, but believe me, it was awesome. The dimmed the lights and piped in the music, right before our dessert came out, it was perfect timing. And the food, oh the food, really, check this one out in my dining review, because it was just that good!
Now, as the night went along, I realized that I would not be making it back for Spectro. The time was just going by too fast. But I was totally okay with it. I knew that it would work out and I would be able to catch it a different night. And I was really enjoying my time with BFF's parents. They treat me just as if I were their daughter as well, they are amazing people. They live in Celebration, I actually stayed with them during my Thanksgiving trip. So I was really glad I got to see them while I was down there.
After we finished up, they offered to drive me back to Pop, which was awesome, so I didn't have to go hotel > park > hotel. They said it was on their way anyway, but who knows. They'd never tell me it was out of the way! They're just too awesome. So I got back to my room at a decent hour, well, at least more decent than if I had seen Spectro, and got myself right to bed!
next up: morning at the MK

Fri, May 2, Day 3, Part 1
Today, I hit time a bit better. Don't remember what time I woke, probably around 7 or so. Went through my normal morning routine, and made it to the Magic Kingdom by 8:20am. Now that's more like it! About the perfect time to hit the turnstiles, according to me anyway :rolleyes1
Now, if I had followed normal advice, I would have taken it easy this morning, since I'd had some really long days already, and tonight I would have a really late one again, at the Pirate and Princess Party. But no. The commando in me took over. Eh, I didn't have trouble waking up, and I knew I'd take a nice afternoon break, so I didn't sweat it!
I was at the front for "rope drop", which was perfect. Although, you know at MK, it's not really a rope till you get to the lands. Anyway...normally, my plan would be to hit Tomorrowland and Space first, but since I had that bonus in MK my first day and had already hit some of my favs, I took the "little kid" approach and headed for Fantasyland first! Yay, I get to be a little kid for the day! Got up to the real rope drop for FL, and my first stop, of course, was Dumbo! Yay, Dumbo!

Mission number 1, accomplished! :thumbsup2 Next up, I made my way over to Peter Pan, with no line whatsoever. Satisfied with having my main 2 FL rides under my belt, I decided to go completely against my normal schedule and head to Frontierland. Grabbed a FastPass for Splash, and rode Big Thunder Mountain, with no line. I decided to go BTMRR and FP Splash, because I didn't feel like being wet for the breakfast I had coming up at the Crystal Palace. Otherwise, I probably would have done it the other way around.
I still had plenty of time, but wanted to start moving toward the main hub, so I went on the Haunted Mansion. Another one with no wait. I was breezing through the park, and loving every minute of it! Next up, I went to Pooh, and had about a 10 minute wait, which kinda surprised me, because it was still before 10am. But not too bad I guess. My FP time was up at 10:10, and my ADR was for 10:20. But we all know that I know how to walk like a crazy lady, so I stopped off at Space Mountain to get a FP, then crossed over to the Crystal Palace. I made it on time, yes I did!
I was seated right away, and had a very pleasant meal with Pooh and the gang.

Now it was time to make use of all those FPs I had accumulated this morning! But on my way out of breakfast, I stopped for a picture of the castle
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05148.jpg
My window was up again, so first I FP'd Space, then rode with my FP from earlier. I'm all about the FP, if you hadn't already figured that out. I think my brothers are going to be amazed by my powers (:rotfl2: ) when they come with me and my mom in August. So then I went over to Splash to use my FP. Red neck ride shot!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05149.jpg
Sorry it's so blurry! But that's sometimes what you get when you red neck it!
I was about ready to head back to the hotel, but since my FP window was up again, and I was walking that way anyway, I stopped to pick up a FP for the Jungle Cruise to use when I returned later. FP the Jungle Cruise? Why not just skip it? Well, I'll tell you all about it when we get there! I know many people don't like this ride, but it holds a special place in my heart. But yes, more on that later!
So I was ready to leave. I had in my pocket FP for Space Mountain and the Jungle Cruise which I would use after my break. I was ready to rest! I got on a Pop bus, and my head hit the pillow right after 1pm. I was pleased with how much I had already accomplished in so little time, and knew that I'd do even more with the Party that night!
Oh yeah, when I got back to my room, this little fella was waiting for me
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05151.jpg
Second, and last, towel animal I received during my stay.
So I slept. And I slept well. I surely needed it. Probably slept till 3 or 3:30. Nice. Got up and was on my way back to the MK, where I arrived at 4:10pm. Perfect timing! It gave me a bit of play time before my dinner ADR at the Plaza at 4:40pm.
The FP were burning a hole in my pocket, but I figured I'd be cutting it close, so I took my time wandering around the front part of MK. I got loads of Photopass pics taken on Main Street, which I hadn't really spent time doing yet. So that was nice. Sorry I don't have those yet! But I know I got some good ones.
Then I went and walked around Fantasyland, just in case there were any really short lines. In my mind was Snow White, but it actually had about a 20 minute wait, and I didn't have that kind of time, or the desire to wait *that* long for SW.
But I noticed that the Evil Stepsisters and Stepmother were out for pics, and the line was really short! So I jumped right in there. Oh yes, and by now, I was "dressed up" for the party. Which really means I had on a pirate t-shirt and my goofy pirate ears. But the Steps got a kick out of me! We made pirate/dog noises, it was hysterical! Aaaargh-woof! Again, those pics are on Photopass, but there are some really nice ones. I joked with the Stepmother too, but couldn't get her to smile. Nice, she stayed well in character.
By now, it was surely time to make my way over to the Plaza to check in for dinner. I checked in at around 4:30pm for my 4:40 ADR, and was seated at about 4:45pm. Not too bad at all. I was seated in the back area by a window overlooking the castle. But I sat with my back to it, because I prefer the booth type seat to the regular chair seat.
During dinner, there were a couple of nice ladies sitting at the table next to me. They noticed me taking notes, and asked who I was writing a trip report for! Keen eyes ladies, keen eyes! So we got to talking, and I told them I would be posting on the DIS, which they had heard of, but they were on another website, tagrel.com . I haven't made my way over there yet, but maybe they've found me over here. Hi ladies! I ran into them again later in the night, but more on that later!
So dinner was good. When I was done, those FP for Space and Jungle Cruise were still burning in my pocket, so it was surely time to use them! The first thing I had planned at the party was to meet Captain Jack at 7pm, and it gave me just the right amount of time.
So I went on Space first, because that meant less going back and forth, not that I have any problem going back and forth :cool1: . I know that lots of times that I went on Space, I asked to sit in the front, just because I enjoy the experience more, and they accommodated me every time. And I tried to switch it up, one time going left, the next going right. Because the tracks are a bit different. Now I can't remember which one I like better, but I *think* it's left, since it has a bigger drop at one point. Feel free to correct me!
Then I went ahead to use my Jungle Cruise FP. Okay, so the JC story. I'm sure I've mentioned it before in my previous trippies, but in case you're new, here it comes. And I apologize to those that have read it before. Okay, so my dad passed away almost 4 years ago now. And he always had a corny sense of humor. So he absolutely loved the JC. Like, seriously, could have ridden it all day. And we would always make fun of him and want to go on other rides. So he acquiesced us, being the awesome dad he was. But now, I go on it for him. Reminds me of him. So yeah, sappy. But sappy is done now!
Here's a pic of my skipper, he was a good one
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05155.jpg
I think his name was Chris, and I only remember that because it's one of my brothers' names. But let's go with that. I enjoyed the backside of water, and the butterflies that grow from 1 foot to a whopping 12 inches! I still had some time before I needed to line up for Capt Jack, and Pirates is right there, and it had no line, so I couldn't very well pass it up! Again, taking the right side, because here, everyone thinks they have to go left. And what did it get me??? My own boat!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05156.jpg
Since I had the boat to myself, I felt less guilty about taking pics with the flash on. I know, bad Marcia, no flash! But I just couldn't resist!

So here is the end of my regular MK day. Everything that comes next is P&P Party, so I'm going to put that in another post.

You make a solo trip look like so much fun! It's great that you're posting so many photos.
thanks, i really did enjoy myself fully
What an awesome trip report!! :thumbsup2 So many good deatils. Thanks.
well thank you!
I love reading other solo trip reports and that you are a Jersey girl too!
I'm in Essex County myself.
Great report so far, looking forward to the rest.
yeah jersey! i'm proud to be a jersey girl :thumbsup2
I just found you, and I am in for the ride!! Great TR so far, can't wait to read more!!
welcome, and i hope you enjoy!
Love this installment! You did so much! I really enjoy your report! I am going solo for the first time in August and so it is really cool to read about how you spent your days!
Can't wait to see how you liked the P&PP!
Allyson :)
oh goodness, you're gonna have such a great time! solo trips are awesome!
Great updates Marsh!!
thank you!
great report so far! i can't believe you ate at so many table service places alone. i haven't been that brave yet. keep it coming!
ya know, when i first started doing it last nov, i thought it would be weird, but i've gotten used to it. i take the quiet time to update my notes, look over my pics, etc
Great TR!!!
I do have a question for you though, I thought(or at least it use to be) that you could only have 1 fast pass at a time. Have things changed? (its been 2years since we have been) I sure am hoping its changed.
well, technically, you're right. but it's like, i get a FP for space mountain, return time is 10am. sooo, i can pick up another FP after 10am. i don't have to use the space one right away, so now i'm holding 2 FP. so that's how i ended up with more than 1 at once. hope that makes sense!
You're like me, a total commando when it comes to taking on the parks!! :rotfl2: Can't wait for the P&PP, never been, but I've heard great things! :thumbsup2 :)
yeah ya know, i like to pretend i'm not commando, but i totally am :rotfl2: . that's just how i roll! i've got a plan and i'm sticking to it!
and P&PP is coming, i just have to go walk a dog a few towns over. but i promise it will be up before LOST tonight (yes, lost is a time marker for me, i can't wait for it!!!)

Fri, May 2, Day 3, Part 2
So last I left you, I was just getting off Pirates of the Caribbean. It was just before 6:30pm, and I knew that it was about time to line up to see the star of the evening...Captain Jack Sparrow!!!
So I was on a mission. I wasn't exactly sure where he was going to be, so I had to ask around. Found the spot, and there were already about 15 people in line in front of me. Good thing I got there when I did! In front of me was a family of mom, dad, and son and daughter, who were twins. They were so cute! They kept me amused while we waited for the door to open. They almost found out the hard way, though, you need your bracelets to be let in even the door. Hard ticket will not do. They had to make 2 trips, but they did get their bracelets. So just in case anyone was trying to see Capt. Jack before picking up wristbands, be warned!
They opened the doors at just about 7pm. I thought it might be a bit earlier, as I had heard rumors that they were opening around 6:30, but not on this night. So enough blabbing, get to the good stuff! I know you want to see the handsome Captain Jack!
Here he is w/the little twins who were in front of me
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05161.jpg
He was so sweet with them! Then it was my turn, woo hoo! I got a little shy and couldn't remember anything to say to him! How embarrassing :bitelip:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05163.jpg
He was perfectly in character! I'm so glad I knew the Dis tip to get in line before it opens, because I was out by 7:15pm, and the party was just starting! And the line was huuuuuuuuge by then!
I knew that Aladdin's Training was starting at 7:30pm, so I hung around in that area to catch the show. It was cute, teaching the kids how to use their "invisible" swords to defeat the evil Jafar!

The show ended around 7:50, and I decided it was about time to stake out my spot for the parade. I got the perfect spot on a ledge right in front of Pecos Bill's. Seriously, perfect. Right where the parade started, so no wasted time afterward. Here was my view as I sat waiting
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05177.jpg
And the parade was so great! I took way too many pictures, here are just a few of them.

Okay, that's just a few, like I said, I took way too many! I had a great vantage point, I think I've found my new favorite parade spot!
Once the parade was over, I hightailed it over to Big Thunder Mountain RR. No line, since no one had gotten a chance to get over there during the parade. So that was awesome. Then I decided I would head over to Fantasyland to see what I could do over there. On the way, I saw this guy
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05239.jpg
There was a dance party going on with Sebastian, so I stopped by to watch the kiddies having a ball.

Most of the lines were pretty much like 20 minutes in FL, but I checked out Pooh, and it wasn't bad, so I went ahead on it. Before I knew it, it was time to head to the hub to catch the fireworks. It's so easy to find a spot when you're by yourself, lemme tell ya. Just another perk of the solo trip ;)
Remember before how I told you I saw the ladies from dinner again later that night? Well, this is where it was. I stopped in the hub, decided on my spot, and lo and behold, there they were! Small world I tell ya. So I asked if one of them wouldn't mind taking my picture, of course they obliged me
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05243.jpg
Yep, there I am, all decked out in my pirate gear. Aaaargh-woof :lmao:
I think I'm in this one too, but we tried it with no flash, so you can't see me

(sorry, had too many pics, had to split it up into 2 posts)
Then it was time for the sky to light up with fireworks. These fireworks were so awesome! Again, I took way too many pics

With the fireworks done, and no second parade to wait around for, I was left to my own defenses for the rest of the night, and I just did whatever I wanted to do! First up, I wanted to ride Dumbo. Cause it's fun to be a little kiddo! Self portrait

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05281.jpg
I did have to wait about 20 minutes to go on Dumbo, but I really thought that wasn't bad. And it went by pretty quickly.
After Dumbo, I was walking by Snow White, and it had no wait, so I gave it a spin. I always hope to get into a "Bashful" car, but I never get one! Oh well, some day... wave bye bye to Dopey
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05283.jpg
Another ride with no line was the Tea Cups, so I literally took a spin on those! Haven't done those probably since I went in 2001, never felt the wait was worth it, but with no wait, why not? I spun that sucker as fast as I could! Nice workout for the arms...haha :rotfl: . So when I got off, I was a bit wobbly, but that was sure a lot of fun.
Since I was going over in that direction, I decided to keep going toward Tomorrowland, to check on Space Mountain and Buzz. Space had a wait of about 20 minutes, and I didn't feel like waiting for it. But Buzz was a walkon. I got a horrendous score, I wrote it down, I don't know why. It was 64,800. That's okay, it was fun as usual.
Walking back to the hub, I noticed that there was a scene set up for photopass pictures, so I stopped off, and they were nice enough to take a pic with my camera too.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05284.jpg
Then, I had a couple more missions for the evening...get a Dole Whip, and get pictures with Cindy's carriage and whatever characters I could. You see, I've never had a Dole Whip before. Sacrilege, I know. I went for the float with vanilla softserve. Cause I thought the pineapple softserve would be pineapple overload. I know this isn't my dining report, but oh well
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05286.jpg
It was really good! And only 1 snack credit. I have no idea how I've missed these before. Oh wait, I'm totally lying! I've had a regular dole whip before, back in November. Just never a float. Okay, so kinda not lying then :rolleyes1
Then I went to the back of Fantasyland to get my picture with the carriage. Um, I think I'm a bit mixed up here, because this sounds like I crisscrossed the park a few times, and I don't think I did, but you never know with me! Anyway, everything I've told you I did at *some* point in the evening ::yes:: . So no pics w/the carriage yet, as they're all photopass, but there was this topiary in the area
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05287.jpg
Yeah, Buzz must have been later, because as I was in that area, I know I wanted to get in line to see Pirate Mickey and the gang, but I arrived at 11:32 and they shut down the line at 11:30! The horror! Oh well, nothing I could do about it. So I decided that was my cue to exit. By leaving a bit early, I figured I would miss the crowds at the bus stop.
On the way out, who should appear but Pirate Mickey! He was just walking around near the train station, but he wasn't allowed to stop for pics or autographs. I did manage to get a few pics as he went by
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05288.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05289.jpg
So that was pretty good luck on my part, as I had just missed him in Tomorrowland. That Mickey sure does move fast... :rotfl2:
The Pirate and Princess Party was so much fun! I loved the parade and fireworks, and everything else I got to do on top of that was just gravy. I doubt I'd do it with my family, because that would mean multiple tickets and more money, but for me, it was totally worth it.
Then I walked to my bus and took the trip back to Pop. Went to bed straight away, as I had an early morning awaiting me at the Animal Kingdom the next day.
next up: early morning @ Animal Kingdom

I'm enjoying your trip report. I took a pseudo-solo trip in August 2007. It wasn't a genuine solo trip because a friend of mine from high school was doing the CP program at the time, so I was able to spend roughly 50% of my trip with her.
I can't believe how much walking you are doing. I have to wonder if you keep up this pace throughout your trip! Thanks for sharing!

Sat, May 3, Day 4, Part 1
After such a late night at the P&P Party, it would have made sense to sleep in. Yup, that would have been smart, but I had secured an 8:05am ADR for Tusker House this morning, and there was no way I was passing it up. So I was up and waiting at the bus stop at 7am. While I was waiting, I snapped a couple pics.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05290.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05291.jpg
That's right, not many people out there waiting for buses in the wee hours of the morning. The bus didn't come until 7:35, but I was at Animal Kingdom before 8. Perfect timing to get to my ADR.
I was let into the park with the rest of the early morning diners, and led back to Tusker House. Had to wait a couple minutes, then they took my picture on the way in
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05292.jpg
That was with my camera, but they did the whole package deal, but it wasn't included, so no way did I buy it. Managed to take a red neck shot though, you know how I love those!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05296.jpg
Breakfast was really good. And I was seated next to a couple who recognized my LGMH. So hi guys! And thanks for taking my picture! Here I am with some of my favorite characters

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05302.jpg
This breakfast was a great character experience, highly recommended!
I was out of breakfast at 8:45am, which was perfect timing to sit and wait at the rope. Normally, I would go to Expedition Everest first, but since Tusker House left me right by the Safari, I decided to switch it up. Craziness, I know. Here was my view, as I was right up against the rope
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05305.jpg
The CMs told us they wouldn't let us through until the rest of the crowd arrived from the front of the park, but they ended up giving us a few paces head start, which was a nice perk. Thanks CMs!
So I was one of the first to grab a Fastpass, and then I immediately went on standby. There were lots of animals out, and I got some nice pictures.
I always take a pic of this tree, the upside down tree

I think I actually had better luck later, on my second trip. But it wasn't time for that yet. Had to wait for the FP time to be up.
So with the Safari taken care of, it was time to tackle Everest! I love love love this ride, and I love love love the single rider line! I went on twice using the single rider line, without any wait whatsoever. My "number" is 13, so I was thrilled when I was placed in that row
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05335.jpg
And here are the redneck shots!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05336.jpg
Hmm, for some reason, I only got one of them, even though I went on twice :confused3
Next big ride I wanted to hit was Dinosaur, so I walked on over to Dinoland.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05337.jpg
After that, I decided to try a couple of rides I haven't done before, as long as they didn't have lines. But on my way, I ran into Pluto, so of course, I had to stop and say hi.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05339.jpg
So what two rides hadn't I ever been on you ask? Primevil Whirl and Triceratops Spin. Woah, I don't even remember which was which now, but oh yeah, Primevil Whirl, I know why people call it Primevil HURL! That thing threw me around like crazy. I am in no rush to get back on that anytime soon. Glad I tried it, just so I know what it's like, though. And then Triceratops Spin, like Dumbo, but with tilting. Ooh, aaah. So that was fun. I may have gone back through Asia at this point to pick up a FastPass for Everest. I must have gotten the FP at some point. Maybe I did that earlier...not really sure. And I usually write that down! Oops!
Since my FP time was up for the Safari, I made my way back over that way. And yes, I did remember correctly, I got better pics this time around.

Picture overload, sorry bout that! I bet I'm gonna have to split this up into 2 posts...
At this time, my Everest FP window was up, so I headed back to Asia, once again. I really do walk a lot. But in this park, it's really hard not to. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! On my way over, though, I stopped by Yak and Yeti to see if they had anything available for lunch. Originally, I had a 2TS meal (Artist Point) scheduled around 8pm, but I knew I wouldn't make it that long, so I decided to split the 2 credits, and do one at lunch and one at dinner. So thankfully, Y&Y could fit me in at 2pm, and Disney Dining hooked me up with Whispering Canyon Cafe for later that night. Nice.

I had some major time to kill, so I decided to do something else I've never done at AK...walk the trails. First stop, Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Now, I really wanted to fit in the Festival of the Lion King, which started at 1pm. But I also really wanted to nab another FP for Everest! So I hightailed it back to Asia, got my FP (now holding 2 for EE, woohoo!), and hightailed once again to Camp Minnie Mickey, where I made it into the theatre with about 5 minutes to spare. Phew!

Love this show! Once it was over, it was about 1:30pm, so I had a bit of time before my ADR. I decided that I needed to fit in It's Tough To Be a Bug, once again, another thing I'd never done at AK. I started getting nervous when it got to be 1:50, but the doors opened right at that moment! Apparently, it's an 8 minute show (I asked because I was worried about making my ADR), so that gave me literally 2 minutes to get to my ADR. But I didn't worry about that during the show. It was cute. But I can see why little kids would get scared.
Right, so from Discovery Island, I needed to get to Yak and Yeti for my lunch. It wasn't too bad though, and I was only a couple of minutes late. They weren't busy anyway, so it didn't really matter. Lunch was pretty good, service could have been better, but you can read about it in my dining report. Here was my view out the window

Sat, May 3, Day 4, Part 2
After lunch, the only thing I really had left to do was use up my FP for Expedition Everest. I had already decided I wouldn't make the Nemo show. I was okay with that, as I've seen it before. And I didn't feel like getting soaked, so Kali was out. Still never have ridden that one. Maybe in August...
Anyway, so I got to go on Everest 2 times, since I had the 2 FastPasses. First redneck shot
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05436.jpg
Second time around, I asked if I could sit front row. Actually, I probably sat front row for most of the times I used FP. But this time, I was brave enough to take out my camera and snap away at the top!

The view up there is incredible! It really is high up there. I decided it was time to take a break. Since I had a late dinner planned, this late break worked out very well. I ended up leaving around 3:40, and I somehow managed to miss 2 buses while I was walking over to the bus stop. I saw the first one pull away from afar, then another pulled up right after it and left before I could get there! So I knew I was in for a bit of a wait. Another bus finally came, and I made it back to Pop to take a nap from 4:30-6:30. When I awoke, I took a shower, as I was feeling kind of sticky after being in AK all day.
Since I had ressies at Whispering Canyon Cafe at 8:40, I had plenty of time to get there. So I got on the line for the MK bus, which arrived at 7pm. There, I met a DISer Mary-in-OH. So hi Mary if you're reading! I arrived at the MK at 7:20, and went straight to a boat to the Wilderness Lodge. I took some pics on the trip over.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05445.jpg
It was a very pleasant, and quick, trip over. I decided to push my luck and check in for dinner early, at 7:50pm. Well, I didn't get seated until my ADR time of 8:40 anyway. So I spent those 50 minutes in a comfy chair in the Lodge, drifting in and out of sleepiness. My view
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05446.jpg
Once I was done with dinner, my mission was to catch Spectromagic. It would be the only time this trip that I had a chance to see it, so I was really counting on it. Easy peasy. I was on a boat at 10 and to the MK by 10:15pm. We got to watch the fireworks on the way over, it was really cool. The boat driver even slowed down so we could watch. I should have taken pictures, but I didn't.
Anyway, so I got into the MK, and staked out a spot right in front of the Confectionery, so I could see the parade as it came around the circle. I took a couple of pics of the crowd leaving as I sat there.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05452.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05453.jpg
I loved watching all the people leave! Less to be in my way for the parade! It ended up being a perfect spot. I am sorry to say that I didn't take any pictures. I just wanted to enjoy the parade, and not focus on getting good shots. So that's what I did :thumbsup2 . And it was wonderful! I love Spectro :lovestruc
Since I was sitting right at the beginning of the parade, it was really easy getting out once it was over, too. So I beat the crowd to the bus stop, caught the first Pop bus, and was in bed before I knew it.
Sorry this was such a short update, I will try to do another one tonight if I can!
up next: much excitement at MGM (and no, i don't care what it's supposed to be called ;) )

Sun, May 4, Day 5, Part 1
(So I'm sitting here watching Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and it's in OT, so I'm awake...so here comes your promised update!)
So today was my MGM day. Wanna know how close MGM is to Pop? Real close! I was at the bus stop by 7:40, a bus came at 7:50, and I was at the MGM turnstiles at 8am! Um right, way too early, once again! Great timing Marcia! Heh, well, I was the first one at the turnstiles.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05454.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05456.jpg
So I hung out for a while. A very long while. Then other people started showing up. Yay, I'm not alone anymore! Didn't talk to anybody this morning, though. Just the CM's who took my picture above. So they finally let us in the turnstiles and up to the rope. I took this on my way to the rope
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05457.jpg
Then it was time for the opening show. They had picked a couple to open the park, they were a few turnstiles down from me. They were so excited, it was cute!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05458.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05461.jpg
Once they let us go, my first stop was Tower of Terror, to pick up a Fastpass, and then ride. This is another park I do differently when I'm with others - I would have FP'd Rock'n'Rollercoaster and ridden, but that's what the single rider line is for! Anyway, so I got my FP, then went on ToT standby. Know the spot where you can choose left or right? Everybody goes right! Wanna see evidence?
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05463.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05464.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05465.jpg
That's right! I got my OWN elevator!!! I thought that was the coolest thing ever! I love that pic of me on an empty elevator, and now that I think about it, I wish I would have bought it. Because it's just that awesome!
Alright, with ToT out of the way, it was time to go on RnR...4 times! Single rider line is my best friend! Let me bore you with my red neck shots! I did try to do a different "pose" each time though
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05466.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05469.jpg
So there you have it, 4 trips on RnR. By that time, my FP window was up, so I got a FP for RnR, even though I don't think I ever used it :confused3 . So then I went and used my FP for ToT. By now, there were other people to share the elevator with me.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05470.jpg
It was about 10:30 by now, and I knew that Beauty and the Beast was at 10:45, so I made my way into the theatre. Unfortunately, Four For a Dollar are off on Sundays, so there was no pre-show entertainment. Oh well! Just another reason to see the show when I return again! The show was great, as usual. I love to "sing" along under my breathe. I'm a dork I know! But I really like this show, I see it at least once per trip.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05474.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05480.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05492.jpg
I guess I was making up for all the walking the other days, because I just stayed in the same general area all morning at MGM! After B&B, I went on RnR single rider line again.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05493.jpg
And at some point, either before or after RnR, I got another FP for ToT. Phew, MGM has lots of abbreviations, eh?
I had an ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe for 12:30, but at this point it was 11:35, and I was ready to take a break. So I walked on over to the PTC and checked in, knowing I would probably have to wait, but being okay with that, as I could always waste some time at my favorite bar! But they seated me right away, at 11:40. Awesome! But they also told me my favorite waiter wasn't working. Boo! They even checked for me over the next couple days if he'd be in, so I could pick up a different ADR, but no such luck. Major bummer. Ah well, once again...just another reason to return.
So I had a wonderful lunch at one of my favorite places, then I decided to head back to the hotel for a rest. But not before picking up a FastPass for Star Tours. Figured it was better to be safe than sorry, as this line can be unpredictable.
Now holding 2 FP (1 for ToT, 1 for Star Tours), I was satisfied, and made my way to the bus stop. And what did I see just a couple minutes later, but my bus!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05500.jpg
Yay! I was really ready to take a nap, and that I did, from 1:30-4pm. A nice long one, and definitely needed. Especially because I planned on doing EMH this evening at Magic Kingdom! More on that later!
Nicely refreshed, I was back to MGM at 4:35pm. I went to check out the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, but the show had just gone in, and I didn't feel like waiting for the next one. No biggie. Then I walked along the back where the Toy Story ride was, and I saw people going in! I was like, what's going on??? I was informed by a CM standing there (in below pics), that it was a CM testing weekend, and that the AP preview weekend was next weekend...when I would already by home. Boo once again! So I sadly took a couple pics and walked away.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05502.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05503.jpg
Then I went over to the Great Movie Ride, which didn't have a line, so I went for it. I refuse to wait on a line for this ride, as I did it in November w/my best friend, it's just not worth it for me. I've been there, done that. I'd rather spend my time on RnR single rider :rolleyes1 . But anyway, yeah, no line, so it was good. Then I used my FP for Star Tours.
After that, I was getting ready to wind down. So where did I turn, but my favorite bar, the Tune In Lounge! On my way out from lunch earlier, I had stopped by to tell David that I would be back later. And of course, I had to keep my promise. As you will see, it's a darn good thing I did!
So I ordered a Picnic Punch, this time, making sure to get the glow cube.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05504.jpg
I was hanging out, talking with David, loving life. David told me about how he had gone on the new Toy Story ride with his son and his son's friends the day before, and that it was awesome. I told him how I'd been over there and they told me it was CM's weekend. He commiserated with me, what a bummer that I wouldn't be able to go on. So I finished my first drink, and ordered something that's not on the menu, but that they had when I was there last summer, appropriately called a Summer Splash.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05505.jpg
And here's David, doing his job
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05506.jpg
He's awesome, stop by and say hi!
This is where it gets good!!!! (going to cut to another post, as I think I'm over images again!)

06-02-2008, 11:07 PM
So as I was sipping my second drink, a woman came in and started talking to David. Just so happens that she's a CM, she works in DTD, and she's here to take a peak at the new Toy Story Ride. Can you see where this is going??? Her name was Cindy. She was alone, and David suggested that she take me along with her!!! Each CM was allowed to bring in 3 people. Holy luck!!! I was freaking out! Before I knew it, I had my drink in a to-go cup, and David sent me on my merry way, and told me to just come pick up my tab later. David rules! Cindy rules! CM's rule! :worship:
So Cindy walked over with me, and we got through and saw that it was a 90 minute wait. She said that once we got through, she'd leave me on my own, as I only needed her to get through the check point. Okay, cool, I don't mind riding by myself. Found out there was a single rider line, but that they closed it because the line was as long as the standby line! Now, this 90 minute line meant that there was no way I was going to get to my dinner ADR at Flying Fish, which I think was for around 8pm.
But this was an opportunity I was not going to miss! So I called up Disney Dining while waiting in line, only to find out they had nothing later available. I figured I'd chance it, and just show up late. Worst come to worst, I'd pick up counter service somewhere. I didn't care! I was going to ride Toy Story Mania!!!
So I was in line, alone, and there was another girl a bit behind me, and she was like "Are you alone? Me too!!" So we became fast friends. And the people behind me told us that she should just come and stand up by me, that way we could ride together. Awesome! I did tell her I wasn't a CM though, and we just pretended like we didn't know that ;) . She was so awesome, her name was Sarah, and she was doing the College Program, as a lifeguard at Blizzard Beach. Oh I think and hope it was Blizzard Beach, that part I did not write down! We talked for the whole wait time, which actually ended up being only 57 minutes...much better than 90! But more than I will ever stand in again! For this, it was worth it though.
Here's some pics from the queue...which I found out later I shouldn't have taken...oh well!

It was so well themed! It made you feel like a toy in Andy's room! And Mr. Potatohead, just awesome! I had no idea what to expect, but this went way beyond my expectations. Like I said before, I was chatting with Sarah the whole time, so the wait flew by. And the ride itself was so cool! I'm sure you've read plenty about it by now, so I won't bore you. But it really is as awesome as they say. I can't wait to do it again w/my family in August!
Here's me and Sarah after we got off the ride, giddy much??

Sarah told me she would walk back with me to the 50's. But on the way, she wanted to get a pretzel and water. Since I had snack credits up the wazoo (remember, 2 a day on the deluxe plan!), I gladly insisted that she let me take care of them for her! Just a little bit of me paying it back to the awesome CM's! We had a heck of a time finding a pretzel though! Everything seemed to be closed, as it was 7:30 now, and the park closed at 8pm. Eventually, we did find it for her, though.
When we arrived at the 50's, we said our goodbyes, but we exchanged info, so we could keep in touch. She went on her way, and I went in to take care of my tab. I walked in and David told me it had already been taken care of! What???!! Amazing woman that she is, Cindy already paid for my drinks. And yay, she was still there eating! So I went over and gave her the biggest hug and had David take our picture.

I can't tell you how lucky I felt. Today was the most amazing day, I had gotten so lucky, I just was amazed at the generosity and kindness shown to me by everyone I came in contact with. CM's, all of you, are absolutely amazing. And I doubt you hear it enough! This wasn't an "official dream", but it sure was my dream come true :cloud9:
So I was on a crazy happy high. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! Now, it was time to head over to the Boardwalk, to see if Flying Fish could fit me in. And yes, I did walk. There was a boat there loading, but I wanted to be in control of how long it took me. And I don't mind that walk. Remember me, the crazy walking all over girl :cool1: . Oh, and before I left, I changed into the skirt I had with me (since FF has a dress code...although, they probably would have accepted me in shorts anyway, but I wanted to be proper).
I'm pretty sure I got to Flying Fish somewhere around 8:15/8:30ish. I told them I knew I was late, and I apologized. They told me I could wait a while for a table, or I could sit right away at the bar. I went for the bar! I still had the MK EMH I wanted to get to, so the sooner the better.
This meal was absolutely amazing. Please do read about it in my Dining Report if you haven't already!
That's where I'm going to stop for now. Oh, and the game is still on! But I'm going to go watch it on the couch.
next up: evening EMH @ MK :dance3:

I am loving your reports, some day I think I would like to do a Solo trip, I had a girls weekend trip one time and I went off to AK by myself to do EE right after it opened, I meet up with my friends for lunch they said I can't sit still, and would take bets on how long I could sit. I am always rushing people around when I go. I would love to know how many steps you made each day. On one of our trips I had over 28,000 steps on my ped. DH and DS had chaffing.:furious:
My question is what kind of camera do you have? Your pictures are very good.

OMG Marsh, I am LOVING your TR for a couple reasons - first off, we were there the same exact dates as you (stayed at POFQ). Also, we were in the same parks on the same days as you as well. We did the P&PP on 5/2 and our parade spot was right by Peco's Bill as well. I believe we were in front on the candy store with the statue of the Indian. I was actually looking for my family in the background of your pictures. We did the TGM thing and used his best days charts. Worth every penny!
Wasn't that the best time to go? No waits for anything and the weather was unbelievable!!

What a great day you had. TSM, FF, tab paid by CM. We can't wait to see TSM on our October trip. We've looked at the menu for FF a number to times, but never went there.
We've made the walk from DHS to the Boardwalk a couple of times. It's a nice walk and sometimes quicker than waiting for the boat.
By the way, did you make it until the end of the hockey game????

Sun, May 4, Day 5, Part 2
So last I left you, I was finishing up my dinner at Flying Fish. So from there, I walked over to the bus stop at the Boardwalk to catch a bus to the MK. Originally, I had planned on meeting up with some TGMers at the beach at the Poly for Wishes that evening, but dinner ran over, since I was late to begin with. Oh well, maybe next time!
So I didn't have to wait very long for a bus, that was a pleasant surprise. Got my bracelet, and I was walking up Main Street at 11:15pm, just as the Little Mermaid float in Spectro was headed up the street. Since I'd already caught Spectro, I had no reason to stop and watch. I headed straight for Tomorrowland. Space had a bit of a wait, but they had opened up the FP machines, so I nabbed one to use later.
Next, I checked out Buzz, which had no wait whatsoever. So of course, I had to go on!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05542.jpg
I don't think I scored very well, but whatever, it was fun! Then I decided I had to go on TTA, since I hadn't been on it yet this trip. Plus, it's a great way to pass the time while waiting for a FP to be valid! After taking a trip around Tomorrowland, it was time for another ride I hadn't been on in forever - Astro Orbiters! Seriously, haven't been on since before 2001. Never thought the wait was worth it. The wait tonight was about 20 minutes, but the time went by pretty quickly, because I met a nice family with two young boys. They actually had more kids, but left them at home and just brought those two! God bless them!
After Astro Orbiter, it was time to use my FP for Space, so that's what I did. Then I crossed over to the other side of the park to hit some rides in Adventureland and Frontierland. From this point on, there were no waits at all. First up, the Jungle Cruise! It's such a different experience at night, I highly recommend it. Then on to a favorite, Pirates of the Caribbean. Aaargh matey! Could have gone on Splash, but I really didn't feel like getting wet at night, so I went on Big Thunder. Another one that's fun in the dark. And of course, sit in the back row for maximum speed :thumbsup2
At this point, the park was absolutely empty. It was about 1:30am (EMH went 11pm-2am), and I was on my way to Fantasyland. Peter Pan was a walk-on! That never happens! I had to take a few pics of the queue

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05544.jpg
And what's the other must see in Fantasyland when there's no lines?? Dumbo of course!!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05545.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05546.jpg
Almost made me regret waiting 20 minutes for it the other day. Almost ;) . At this point, we had to wait a few minutes before taking off, and I was confused as to what was going on...until I saw the characters! Chip and Dale came and rode with a couple kids!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05550.jpg
When I got off the ride, I got a picture with Donald, since there was no one around!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05552.jpg
Then I ran over to Pooh to get in a ride on that one. Back over to near Dumbo, and more characters! Now I got to get pictures with Pluto and Goofy! Pluto was so silly, and Goofy had to dance with me
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05553.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05554.jpg
The characters were taking turns riding Dumbo with little kids, it was so cute!
By now it was about 1:55, and I wanted to squeeze in one more ride, so I ran over to Peter Pan, and just made it! Then I went over to Dumbo to see if I could make one more, but no luck, I watched the people on the last ride of the evening. I was hoping to catch Chip and Dale for pics, but once the ride was over, their handler took them right away. Oh well!
I started to make my way toward the Castle to head out, when I heard my name being called by a little voice! It was one of the boys from the family I had met on Astro Orbiter! One by one, the two boys ran up to me, I knelt down as they ran into my arms to give me a hug! It was so sweet, they were so excited to see me again! I found out that the birthday boy had gotten to ride Dumbo with one of the characters, how lucky! So we all walked out together, with the little boys chatting me up big time. Loved them!
Near the flagpole on Main Street, CM's had grabbed a family to help them hold up the See Ya Real Soon sign
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05555.jpg
On my way to the bus, I got a pic of the topiary Pirate Mickey
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05556.jpg
I parted ways with the boys' family, as they made their way to the monorail to the TTC to get their car, and I had a bus to catch.
What a day! I can't even begin to describe how I was feeling at the end of this one. Just amazing. I was so overwhelmed by everything that had happened, it was almost as if it had been a dream :cloud9: . I guess that's what you get for going to Disney, though, eh? Dreams and magic, all around. Mon, May 5, Day 6, Part 1
Sorry it's been so long without an update! I've been working my butt off!
Anyway, so following a late night in the MK, I definitely wasn't getting up for rope drop this day. I gave it a passing thought, but I'm glad I didn't do it. I ended up sleeping until 10, which was actually a great time to get up. I grabbed my "coffee" and also picked up a yogurt parfait from the food court.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05558.jpg
I left my room for the bus stop at 10:45, and an Epcot bus pulled up right as I got there. Talk about perfect timing! Couldn't have been better. The bus got me to Epcot at 11:15. At this point, my lunch ADR was for 12:30 at Tutto Italia, but since I'd just had the parfait, I stopped by Guest Relations to see if I could move it a bit later. I had no problem whatsoever moving it to 1:30pm. Awesome!
But what was not so awesome...at this point I realized that I had lost my itinerary! :scared1: Now this was not just a boring old itinerary, it was color coded for TGM's days, had all my ADR's, which parks I was to be at and when...I was just so unbelievably upset, I couldn't believe it! Thank goodness the wonderful CM was able to print out the rest of my ADR's for me, so at least I had that. But note to self - always make copies! When we go in August, I'll make sure all 4 of us have our own itinerary, plus there will be one back in the room! I'm not taking any chances!
Alright, so I was just a little crushed. I couldn't imagine where I lost it. But I tried not to think about it, and just go about my day. So I went over to the Land to get a FP for Soarin. That's a way to brighten anybody's day :thumbsup2 . Since I was over there, I decided I would go see Crush! It was about noon at this point. I love that show, it is just so darn cute!
Since I had some time to kill, I figured I may as well hit up the single rider line on Test Track. So I did that twice. Good stuff, I love going on with people who really enjoy it. I don't remember if this was the time, but there was a family with a couple little kids, and it was their first time. They screamed their little heads off! Love it!
When I got off TT for the second time, I started to make my way toward World Showcase, as it was nearing lunch time. I stopped along with way in the butterfly tent, and took some pics.

A very nice couple noticed me taking pictures and asked if I'd like to be included in one. Sure! I love the kindness of others that I encounter throughout the world.

I decided to go to Italy by way of Mexico...because I hadn't had a Margarita yet this trip. Blasphemous, I know! So I got a Sour Green Apple one, my favorite of the flavors they offer
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05572.jpg
Mmm, mmm, good! Made my way to Italy and Tutto Italia for my lunch at 1:30. Only finished half the Margarita on the way, so I had the rest of it with my lunch. Very nice :thumbsup2
After lunch, I went on a drinking tour around the world. Next stop was Morocco. I ordered a Tangeriene Daquiri, and I noticed that I was only charged $3-4 or so, and knew that wasn't right. Well, she hadn't put any alcohol in it! Are you kidding me? She's like, well, you didn't say you wanted alcohol...I thought it was a given. So she put like a drop of rum or whatever on top of it. I dumped it in the nearest trash can, but managed to snap a pic first.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05580.jpg
I was not pleased. This is a drink I've enjoyed in the past, but please include my alcohol next time. I'll be sure to specify...
So where did I turn next but my favorite old standby...France! For a Grey Goose Lemon Citron Slushie. Oh joy and rapture! This drink is and always will be my favorite around the World! Yummy!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05581.jpg
By now, it was about time to head over to the UK to hear some tunes from the British Invasion. With my slushie in hand, I walked over the bridge and sat myself down on the curb for some good music.

I love these guys! I'm a big Beatles fan, so I really appreciate what they do. Thanks British Invasion! So since I was in the UK, who did I stumble upon but Mary Poppins. Sure, I'd met her before, but there was no line, so sign me up.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05585.jpg
Next up was Off Kilter at 3:30...or so I thought :rolleyes1 . But I made sure to stop off at the UK pub first, and asked the bartender for something refreshing. He suggested some sort of drink with Pimm's in it. Never heard of it, but okay, bring it on! It was okay, don't know that I'd order it again though.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05586.jpg
So I went on over to Canada...where I sat down on the empty benches, with the screen covering the stage. You'd think this would have tipped me off. But no, I sat there. For like 10 minutes. Until I decided to take a closer look at my times guide...and realized it was Monday. For some reason, I looked at the wrong day! No Off Kilter for me! Good thing I had seen them earlier in the week, I would have been majorly bummed to miss them completely.
So right, after realizing I was a moron (or maybe it was all the drinks I had... :rolleyes1 ), I decided to head over to Innoventions for the Visa Character Meet and Greet. I got there at 3:45, and finally got in with the characters at 4:30. Long wait, longer than I wait for rides, but you really do get one on one time, so I think it's worth it. Plus, you get a free picture out of the deal.
After chumming it up with some of my favorite characters, it was about time to make use of the Soarin FP that was burning a hole in my pocket. So I went on into the Land, and got to ride, in the front row, once again. Very nice! I just love that front row. Totally worth it to ask for it.
I figured it had been long enough since the Meet and Greet (they were warning us not to pick up our pictures too soon, as the computers seemed to be running slow for some reason), so I went over to the Camera shop to get my picture. They only had large envelopes, not the regular size which would have fit in my bagallini. So hmm, I was not pleased, didn't want to lug that around in a plastic bag. Well, I was happy to find out that I could have it sent back to Pop, just like a regular purchase. Perfect!
So with that taken care of, I went to wander around. I hadn't yet been on Space Ship Earth, and there was no line, so I went for it. I don't remember much of how this ride used to be, as the last time I went on was probably 2001, but I really didn't like the ending part with the interactivity. Thought it was dumb. Your mileage may vary.
Then I wandered over to the other side of the park, to check on Mission: Space and Test Track. Well, there was no line at M:S, so I went on. Orange side please! Spin me and send me to Mars! Good times. Then I went to TT, which of course I rode using the single rider line. After that, I wandered around Mousegears for a bit, and I think I bought a few Tshirts. Unfortunately, it was too late to send them back to the resort as I was leaving too soon after, so I had to carry that bag around. Oh well, I hooked it onto my bagallini with my trusty carribeaner. That thing came in so handy.
I'm going to stop here for now, and bring you the rest of the evening entertainment at a later time.
next up: evening at Epcot, DIS Meet!, MGM EMH (kinda), and DTD (seriously, I'm crazy!)

Hi Marcia - I read your entire trip report (thus far!). I have to say I would have been a little spooked riding ToT by myself. LOL It did make a pretty cool picture though. Thanks for sharing the Toy Story Mania details -- it looks really cool! It sounds like you had a great trip all around and all your pics are making me wish my trip was that much closer. :) Can't wait to read more!!

Hey, Marsha! :thumbsup2
The pic of you and the Pluto from F&G Festival is awesome! All that work is just stunning, I'll have to make it at that time of year eventually to see it all in person. I have to agree with you on something -- Test Track really is so much more fun with other people! It seems every time I go to Disney and ride that, there's other families experiencing it for the first time and are just blown away by it! Can't wait for more....

Okay, so this isn't going to be an update chronologically, but I just got in my Photopass Pictures from my share, so I'd like to put some of them up. But what was not so awesome...at this point I realized that I had lost my itinerary! Now this was not just a boring old itinerary, it was color coded for TGM's days, had all my ADR's, which parks I was to be at and when...I was just so unbelievably upset, I couldn't believe it! Thank goodness the wonderful CM was able to print out the rest of my ADR's for me, so at least I had that. But note to self - always make copies! When we go in August, I'll make sure all 4 of us have our own itinerary, plus there will be one back in the room! I'm not taking any chances!
Thanks for that tip, Marcia. I will have to print out (and laminate :rolleyes1 ) three copies of my notecards. :rolleyes1 I know I'm not going until October, but I intend to do all of my planning this summer--I get 4 day work weeks!
Mental note: Grey Goose Lemon Slushies--where are they in Epcot?

Mon, May 5, Day 6, Part 2
So last I left you, it was nearing evening and I was in Epcot. After leaving Mousegears with my package attached to my bag, I still had a bit of time before my dinner ADR. So I slowly made my way toward World Showcase, stopping along the way to get some pics while wandering around the Peter Pan area of topiaries.

Just beautiful. I continued on my way, stopping in France for some pics. I just realized I already included one of the Photopass pics I got here, but here's a couple more.

Then I made my way over to Japan, where I quickly bought a few pairs of socks, as souvenirs for friends. They're the kind that separate the big toe from the rest of the toes. They're cute. And I was also eating in Japan, so that was convenient. My ADR for Tokyo Dining was at 8:20, but I checked in early at 8pm, and told them I wanted to wait for a window seat, as it was my plan to catch Illuminations from my table. They said it might be a while, but lo and behold, I was seated at the perfect table at 8:05! Here's my view (sorry for the glare!)

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05597.jpg
It was a delightful dinner, and I was able to watch Illuminations as I had planned. They even turned down the lights and piped in the music. What more could you ask for?!
I finished up my meal as everyone else was exiting the park. I took the opportunity when I left to snap a couple pics of a lit-up Spaceship Earth.

I knew that it was EMH this evening at MGM, so I wanted to head over there to see if I could catch my waiter. So I took the nice walk over. Some ducks along the way

and the entrance from afar
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05613.jpg
I know some people have expressed concern over walking this path at night, but it was after 9 at this point, very dark out (as you can see), and I had no problems whatsoever. I've done this walk in the dark before, and I've never felt at all unsafe. So take that for what it's worth.
I made my way through the gates, picked up my bracelet, and was off to the 50's Prime Time. Alas, no Richard. Major bummer! But of course I stopped at the Tune In Lounge to say Hi to David, and get a drink. At this point, I didn't really feel like fighting the crowds, so I decided I would head to DTD, because I had lots of snack credits, and I wanted to use a couple at Goofy's.
I went out to the bus stop and took a bus to Saratoga Springs, because I knew I could walk from there to DTD. I figured it was the most direct route. Just so happened there was a couple on the bus who was doing the same thing, so we walked over to DTD together. They were in search of some food. We parted ways when we arrived at Goofy's...at 11:03pm...when they had closed at 11! Yikes! So that was a complete waste of my time! Should have taken a cab and sucked it up and paid the money. Oh well, you live you learn.
At that point, since everything was closed anyway, I went to the bus stop to get a bus back to Pop. I waited a while, but it came, and I went to my room and went to bed. I knew I had one more opportunity to get to Goofy's, the next night after my DIS meet. So I hoped that would work out!

Hey, at least your coworker is nice about it. When I was planning my trip, my coworker - who has never been to Disney nor does she have any interest  - rolled her eyes and sighed very loudly whenever I called disney to change an ADR or order P&PP tickets, or call my TA with a question.

Hi Marcia! I'm a little late to the party; enjoyed your dining report and didn't realize you also had a TR in the works. All caught up now.
I enjoy reading about your solo adventures. Must admit I'm feeling some pangs of jealously. I love my trips to Disney with my daughters; but oh how nice it would be to have a hotel room to myself and come and go as I please! And I love how you just slip in and out of parks whenever it suits you. It's so nice to hear you striking up friendly conversations with other guests too. I think WDW is the ONLY place I would feel comfortable doing a solo trip.
Was encouraging to see your pix of the PM EMH at MK. My DD and I are heading down in three days and our first night is a PM EMH at MK. We're determined to stay until 2am - glad to see how empty it was. I think it will definitely be worth our while to stay that late.:thumbsup2

Lots of great pics. Thanks for sharing.
thank you and you're welcome!
Great Photopass pics!! :thumbsup2 You look like you're having such a great time. Of course, how can you not at WDW? Looking forward to hearing more....
absolutely!
:thumbsup2 We'll have to compare itineraries!
My coworker friend calls my spreadsheet my "Color Coded Matrix of Fun".:rotfl: I have lots of copies with me!
You should try Spaceship Earth with a kid. My kids think the ending is hysterical! It a bit contagious when they start laughing about it.
good suggestion...too bad the littlest "kid" i'll have with me will be 21!
Great photopass pics!! Loved the spot you had for Illuminations too!! Can't wait to hear about your DISmeet!
thanks so much!
Hey, at least your coworker is nice about it. When I was planning my trip, my coworker - who has never been to Disney nor does she have any interest  - rolled her eyes and sighed very loudly whenever I called disney to change an ADR or order P&PP tickets, or call my TA with a question.
ah some people just don't get it!
I'll be waiting Marsh!!
thanks for the patience!
Happy Birthday!! :)
thank you so much!

Hi Marsh!!

Tues, May 6, Day 7, Part 1
So last I left you, I was winding down the night and getting ready for an MK morning. Apparently, I was running later than usual, because I didn't get to the gates until 8:40. The horror! But no worries, I made my way right up to the front, there was plenty of space. Before I knew it, I was making my way up Main Street with the rest of the crowd. I noticed a Photopass guy by the flagpole, so I asked what was up. He told me some characters would be coming out, but I didn't feel like waiting for them. So I had him take some pics of me
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0331.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0340.jpg
So after I took a minute to do that, I started making my way toward Tomorrowland. Who did I run into but Alice and the Madhatter! They weren't stopping for pics, though, so I did the best I could.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05614.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05615.jpg
I decided that since I had an early-ish lunch planned that day, I would stop off at the Main Street Bakery to get heaven on a plate...French Toast Loaf! It was the first time I got it this trip, and I was in major withdrawl! This stuff is so good!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05616.jpg
I ate my food on the way, and I got to Tomorrowland right after rope drop, and made my way to Space Mountain with the rest of the crowd. I of course grabbed a Fastpass first, then rode. And I rode twice! Gotta get that Space fix early in the morning! No lines. Awesome! Then I went on Buzz
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05617.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05618.jpg
By then, it was 9:40, and I figured I would go over to Toontown for opening, and try to get some pictures with the Princesses. You will see later that this was unnecessary, but I digress... So I got to Toontown and they opened at 9:45! So I went with all the little girls and got in line. I only waited about 5 minutes, but it took a bit longer once I got in the room, because they were taking their time with each group. It was so sweet for all the little ones! I snapped a few of Cinderella while she was waiting.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05620.jpg
Then I got to meet Princess Aurora
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0341.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0348.jpg
There was nobody in the middle "tent" area, which was a disappointment, but oh well.
Then I got my pics w/Cinderella
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0350.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0355.jpg
Aren't we cute?!
Then I wanted to head over to Frontierland, but stopped off to grab a Fastpass for Peter Pan on the way. Got over there and rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, twas fun as usual. Once again, didn't feel like getting soaked, so I skipped Splash this time around.
My FP window was up again, so I went through Fantasyland and got one for Pooh on my way back over to Space Mountain. I think I walked right onto Space again, didn't even have to use my FP, which was nice. Got to save it for later!
At some point, I had decided that I wanted to eat at the Castle. Without an ADR. Crazy, I know. So it was about 11:25am, so I went over to check it out. I was told there was nothing available, but to check back closer to 12, as that's when the next seating was. Alright, cool. So I went over to Peter Pan to use my FP. Then I moseyed on over back to the Castle, where I met a Photopass guy.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0363.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0366.jpg
I think I must have been dusted with Pixie Dust sometime around there. Because I headed back to CRT at 11:55, and they told me to wait around. So I did. And I heard the main person saying they'd have 2 four tops available. I was like, me me me me me!!!! And at 12:05, I was given my ticket in!!!! Woo hoo! I made sure to call right away and cancel my 12:40 ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern. Also knew I'd have to switch dinner from a 2TS at Yachtsman to a 1TS, so I snagged a Biergarten ADR. Sweet!
Anyway, back to the main event, lunch at CRT!!!! I waited on a loooooong line to get in for my pic w/Cinderella. But that's okay, I was in no rush. Finally made it to Cindy at 12:40pm. Yay!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05626.jpg
On my way to the stairs, they were giving away wands and swords to the little kids, and I asked if this big kid could get one, and they obliged me. Yeah, I'm a big kid :cool1: . I also took some pics from the tops of the stairs.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05627.jpg
And from my table
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05628.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05629.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05630.jpg
I wasn't anywhere near a window, but I couldn't care less! I was in CRT, and I'd gotten up without an ADR! Magical, I tell you, just magical!
Lunch was fine. But the main attraction was the Princesses! See, told you I had stopped in Toontown for no good reason! Oh well, I didn't know at that time!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05634.jpg

They were all sweet, but pretty much just stopped for a picture. No biggie, as I said, I'm a big kid...give the extra time to the little ones. I got my pics, so I was thrilled! I also asked my food runner guy for a pic, cause he was awesome
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05636.jpg
Once I got out of lunch, I still had FP's burning holes in my pockets, for Pooh, and for Space. So I went on Pooh, then I went on Space. Funny thing, it was pretty late in the day by now, and Space had posted a 30 minute wait, but it ended up being walkon, even though I had my FP. I was leaving after that anyway, so I didn't mind giving up my FP.
Like I said, after Space, I was done for the "morning" and wanted to head back to Pop for a nap. I *just* missed a bus and ended up waiting about 20 minutes for another one. Once I got back, it was close to 3pm. I picked up my Visa pic that had been sent over to Pop for me the day before, then booked it over to my room to get some shut eye!
next up: dinner @Biergarten, DIS meet, Illuminations, DTD....Goofy's hopefully???

This is probably the best trip report ever. Seriously, you have me so excited about Disney and I don't even have any plans to go back anytime soon.
I think its awesome you eat at so many table services by yourself, I have this horrible habit of always feeling sorry for people eating alone, even though I know many people who actually enjoy to eat alone and feel that it is relaxing. I can't help it :confused3

Great Report, but I have to ask you......how did you get more than one FP at a time.
When I was there, I could not get another FP until the first FP expired.
So for example, it is 10:00am and I get a FP for Peter Pan's flight.
The time to use the FP is at 1:00pm.
I could not get another FP until 1:00pm.
In reading your report, it seems like you are picking up FP left and right.
We will be there in August and just wanted to know your secret!

well, the FP thing, i always made sure to get one AS SOON AS my window opened. since i got them early in the day, the return time was usually less than an hour away, so at 9am, i'd get one for space for 10am, then at 10am, i wouldn't ride space yet, but would pick up another FP. so that's how i got multiples. i think it's easier to explain in practice than in theory, but yeah. if it's too confusing, let me know and i'll try to explain it better!
next update coming soon!
edit: sorry, i lied! i just got called into work, so the update will have to wait! i'm soo soooo sorry!

Now if only I could get a picture of you sitting alone on Soarin! I'm too chicken to ride that one, although I've tried a few times. Panic attacks and all that horrible stuff :upsidedow. One day soonish I'll most likely be doing my own first solo trip, hope I can do it with as much style as you :) .

Tues, May 6, Day 7, Part 2
So last I left you, I was napping the afternoon away! I slept from 3:15-5:05 (yes, I kept track of the *exact* time! tee hee!), then decided I'd shower since it had been a bit sticky that morning. I got more good luck, as I walked up to the bus stop at 5:30, an Epcot bus pulled right up. I arrived back at Epcot at 5:45.

I also ran into a Photopass guy, and had him take some pics of me

After dinner, I had plans to meet up with a bunch of DISers in Japan. On the way over, I decided to grab a drink in Italy. I got the Italian Margarita, and let me tell you, this thing was goooooood! Nice and lemony and tart, and slushie too. Up there with the Grey Goose Slush for sure! Sorry, no pic of this one, as I was rushing to get over to the meet.
Made it over to Japan just after the designated time of 7:45, and met up with everyone. We hung out and chatted for a while, and it was really nice. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with these wonderful people. We got some nice stranger to take our picture.

After Illuminations, we all decided to part ways. We said our goodbyes, and made sure we'd all check in with our thread on the board, especially to post our pictures!
On my way out, I loved how the fountain in France looked

It's so pretty all lit up!
Now, if you remember, I had been shut out of Goofy's by 3 minutes, so I was on a mission this night! It was just after 9 after Illuminations, so I knew I had plenty of time. So I went out the International Gateway, and walked to the Boardwalk to catch a bus to DTD. The bus came pretty quickly, and I arrived at DTD with plenty of time, at 10:10pm. Yes!
Of course, my first stop was to Goofy's to get some tasty treats! There was no line, which was really nice, and I got to watch the lady make my creations. It was so cool!

Oh yum! Good stuff!
Next, I went over to Ghiradellis, just to check it out. The ice cream part was closed, not that I wanted to get any since I had my treats, but still, bummer. They were giving away little samples
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05687.jpg
Mmmm, free chocolate. Very nice.
After that, I went into the stores to look for stuff to bring home for my friends. I got lots of little things, and then decided to call it a night. My last night in Disney, so I was a little sad. But I knew I still had another day ahead of me, and it would be an early one, with having to check out and all. So I caught a bus back to Pop and hit the hay.
next up: last day! checkout and MK

Marcia - I love your photopass poses in France and Morocco! I've never seen them there; just usually at the bridge from IG to France.
And, something BETTER than the Grey Goose slushie?:faint: I think I need to start drinking faster so I'm ready for a new drink by the time I get over to Italy!

Hey! Apparently meeting the Diser Sistas in the bathroom at Epcot wasn't worth a mention. :snooty:
We were thrilled to meet you. You were just too cute! I've really enjoyed reading your TR! I am really fascinated by this whole solo traveler thing!

Tues, May 6, Day 7, Part 2 (addendum!)
Okay, so I must say I was remiss in forgetting a very very important part of this day at Epcot! I have no idea what part of the day it occurred, but I know that it *did* occur! I was taking a potty break over my Mission: Space and Test Track area, and when I came out of the stall, I saw LGHM on the back of two shirts! So of course, I went on over and poked them in the back, and was like, "Hi! I DIS!" Woo hoo! It was HeatherSue and TheresaJoy! They were changing the baby's diaper, so I think I caught them off guard, but they were so sweet! We talked a bit about how they hadn't run into any other DISers yet, but had run into DISers families. Too funny! Those LGMH are great to find each other.
Um, you know what? I think maybe it was the day before that I ran into them! Just looking over my notes, that would make more sense. So I'm going to head over to their trippies to check it out! Yup, it was May 5, not May 6! Oops! So the heading is wrong. And I'm a day off. Well, there ya have it :thumbsup2
Wed, May 7, Day 8
So after a late night at Goofy's, I went back to my room to pack up and get ready to leave. Boo! I wanted nothing to do with leaving, but the time was upon me. So I went to bed, after setting the wakeup call for EARLY. Probably around 6:30 or so, I don't remember for sure. But anyway, so I went through my morning routine, made sure I had all my stuff, and made my way over to check in with the airline, and have them hold my carryon. After refilling my mug with one last coffee concoction, I was off to the bus stop, to head over for one last trip to MK.
I got to the bus stop just as a bus was pulling up, at 8am, and I was at MK by 8:15, great timing to be at the front of the crowd! Here's a few pics of the people who showed up after me. Yikes!

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05698.jpg
Of course, once we went on with the opening show, I was off to Tomorrowland to hit Space Mountain. Grabbed a FP, then rode standby. Since I wanted to hit my favs this day, my next stop was to head over to Peter Pan. Then Pooh. Now, I had been trying while on Pooh all week to get this next picture, and I kept missing! So it was very satisfying to finally get it!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05700.jpg
Just in case you're unfamiliar, it's Mr. Toad handing over the deed to Owl.
Next up was Snow White, a sentimental favorite of mine. Then Peter Pan again, with no line still! And then it was time. I'd been at Disney for a week now, and still hadn't made it on...It's a Small World! Now, I force myself on *once* each trip, just because I have to ride it. It's tradition. So I sat through those 12 minutes, and soaked it all up. And thanked my lucky stars that I don't have to ride it again til August! :lmao:
At some point, I stopped by the back of the castle for some Photopass pics. I messed around and did lots of edits on these pics, here are just a few of my favs.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/photopass%20pics/image0405.jpg
Then I made my way over to Frontierland, to get a FP for Big Thunder, then ride it standby. Still no lines, so I was thrilled. For real. Yeah, I'm totally coming back next May. No doubt. After that, I had to go on Pirates one more time, and then Haunted Mansion.
By then, it was time to head back to the front of the park for my lunch ADR at Crystal Palace. My ADR was for 11:30, but I got there at 11:15, so I had to wait a bit. But I was seated with the first wave of guests, so that was nice. Once again, my table was decorated!
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05703.jpg
And this time, all the characters came around in a nice and timely fashion!

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05716.jpg
I much preferred breakfast here over lunch, so I'm glad I'll be hitting it on my last day in August with my family. Love those Pooh characters!
After lunch, I still had the FP for Big Thunder, but didn't feel like going back that way. I ended up just wandering around looking for a Genie type thing for my friend James. See, I asked my friends who their favorite Disney characters were, and James' was Genie. I had *searched* DTD for anything, but found nothing. Eventually, I settled on James' second favorite...Woody. Found him a figurine over near Buzz. Phew. Thank goodness I found something, since I'd already taken care of the rest of my friends the night before.
I ended up bidding my farewell to the MK, leaving at 2:15, and catching a bus just as it pulled up at 2:20. Nice timing. Then I wandered around the Pop gift shop, and bought a couple of last minute items. Then I had a few snack credits left over, so I decided I needed to try the infamous tye dyed cheesecake.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05725.jpg
Maybe because it was so talked up, but I just didn't find this all that impressive. It was fine though. Then I went out by the pool, and dipped my feet in, while sipping on one last Lava Lamp.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/marsh0013/disney%202008%20apr30-may7/dis2008-05726.jpg
I got chased away by a lifeguard, who told me "No food or drinks by the pool!" So I then went and found a lounge chair, and enjoyed my last few minutes of Disney bliss. Before I knew it, it was time to get to the front of the hotel to catch the DME back to the airport. It picked me up sometime around 4:30, I think, as my flight was around 8pm. It was a few minutes late, but of course we got to the airport in plenty of time. The wait in MCO and the flight home were uneventful. I was sad to go home. But at least I'll be going back soon.
Thanks for sticking with me everyone! And I promise to write a new trippie for my family trip in August!

Oh boo - sorry the trip is over!:sad1: I swear, the last day of a Disney vacation is the WORST! So depressing!
Thanks for posting that pic of Mr. Toad from the Winnie the Pooh ride. I had heard about; but never seemed to be looking in the right place. What room is it in?
And, I can't believe how much you had your tables decorated for your birthday! I just came back from a trip w/ my DD and it was noted on all my ADRs that we were celebrating my birthday - not ONE decorated table. And actually, the only restaurant that made a fuss was the Yachtsman Steakhouse! I had to wait until my fourth night to get my birthday button!(I know I could have ASKED for one, but I felt silly!) Anyway, was kind of a letdown - Disney ignored my birthday!:sad2:

Thank you for remembering us!
I made the same coffee/hot cocoa concoction while staying at Pop. It's the only way to chug that awful stuff down! I also felt the same way about the tye died cheesecake. It was just "Meh" for me. Kinda dry, nothing too special.
I'm sad your TR is over so soon after I found it! I can't wait until your next one!
