I am going to be like Ray and start a list.

I made my reservations for the Embassy Suites in Lombard, IL for Friday July5 - Sunday July 7th.

Who all is going to be staying there? What would you think about us calling and trying to get the rooms close to one another?

<font face="comic sans ms"> Patrick, :wave: Tammy, Barb, Tia, and I did that at Disneyland-Con. We were all right by each other. We liked it but I'm not sure how our neighbors felt. :o :eek: :p There was a lot of hen clucking going on in the hall.

Well, we'll be at PatrickIl-Con, but not at the Embassy Suites.

We will be staying at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Downer's Grove.:)

I used Priceline for the very first time today. I got a room just down the road from you guys at the Four Points Barcelo Hotel in Oakbrook Terrace. This hotel is listed on Microsoft Streets and Trips 2002 as the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Villa Park. Go figure.

Is anyone going to be in town soon enough to go out to dinner on Friday evening? I noticed that there's a Buca di Beppo in the area. That's always a fun place, especially if we can get enough people together. I would consider taking Friday off just so that I can be in the Chicago area in time for dinner if there's enough interest.

You would not have to twist my arm to get me to go to Bucca's they are my favorite place up here.

What is Buca di Beppo???

Supposedly (as the story goes), Buca di Beppo is Italian for "Joe's Basement". The restaurant is supposed to look like an Italian guy's basement. The food is served family style. A single salad will feed a dozen people. When you order a pizza, it's about 2 feet by 3 feet in size. Each room in the restaurant is themed differently. There's even a table in the kitchen (that you have to reserve months in advance). Here's a link to their website:

It's a great place to eat if you have a crowd. Not so great for a family of four. A big group of us went to the local BdB last year and had a blast. I've been trying to convince everyone here that we need to repeat, but no bites so far. So I thought that I'd throw it out to all you Patrick-CON folk.

Haven't been to Buca yet and what better way to share that first experience than with a bunch of DISers?!
