We are a family of 6. Originally only 3 of the kids were going and now my oldest is going too. We have a deluxe room booked at HR. How do I get 6 room keys? Is this even possible? I would hate to have to book another room just for one more person. Any suggestions for a solution here?
Thanks

I am pretty sure 5 is the limit per room, no exceptions.

Tricky1 is correct. There is a max limit of 5 per room.
OP - I know you don't want to hear this, but unless one of your kids is an infant, you are going to need to get that second room :sad1:

Actually even if the kid is an infant Universal will have you book a second room. They don't do the kids under 2 thing like Disney does.
We are a family of 6 and have always had to book 2 rooms there.

due to the fire codes, only 5 per room and no exceptions.
you will need to get 2 rooms if you have 6 in your group.

So sad....its true....one extra person = one more room. I soooo hope this is worth the expense because we are finally taking the plunge this trip.

While I never liked the extra expense I did like the extra room. I'm not sure about the ages in your family but I have 2 older boys and 2 younger ones. So the teens could stay up late watching tv, talking or whatever and in the other room we could put the little ones to bed.

our family size went from 5 to 7 this year with the recent adoption of 2 boys...so we had to book 2 rooms at RPR. The price is painful, but the FOTL is so worth it!

Sorry - had to reply. I can't possibly imagine spending a vacation with 6 people in one bedroom and one bathroom. That is no vacation. I'd rather stay at home! The last time we shared a room with our two kids (spring break 2007 at Disney's AKL) we had a room with bunk beds. My DH and I said never again - for our cruise we booked two rooms (connecting) and thank goodness it was only $100 more than one room! If money is an issue and you have that many, maybe a house or condo close by is better.

Just wondering which onsite place you'd recommend for a family of 5...kids ages 9,6 and 1!

how much space do you want to have?
pbh has the largest rooms on site.
i have stayed at all the hotels and think rph would be tight for 5 people when you start to consider your luggage storage in the room

I think a deluxe room at the HRH would be good. It's larger than the standard rooms and they have a pull out sofa (that was actually confortable!).

Deluxe at HRH or PBH are larger and would be better for a family of 5.

If you can afford it, go for a kids suite at HRH. We have 3 kids, 8, 5 and 3 and the kidssuite is awesome for us and we love the extra sofa, chair, etc at the HRH that the PBH and RPH dont have.
HTH!
