this photo I just snapped because I could. But the size is too small. Our scoutmaster has gone through all of his photos and the newspaper said they are all too poor of quality to print. They are only doing a 3x5 phot in the paper , how big does it need to be. Anywho here is the photo, is there a way to increase the mb of it? I am not happy with the way it looks but it was the only one I took. (note to self, leave the 2 yr old princess princess: at home with gmom when needing to get the right shot). :rolleyes1

guess I should be more specific. My photo is only 1.64 mb is that too small for a decent 3x5? or even a 4x6?

since both of those sizes are smaller than the pic I posted, I don't see why it wouldn't turn out Ok printed to those sizes, going up to 8x10 would definitley show some problems..

Someone could call the newspaper and ask what their file size requirements are. Then you can just resize to whatever that size is.

Like Nikel said, ask the paper what their minimum submission standards are. If you Google it, you can find what some papers require. For example, one paper wanted wedding group photos to be at least 1,200 pixels wide. I don't know if you've resized it for posting here, but that one above is 800 x 600. I think that wouldn't fly with most papers. Also, most don't want you to retouch the image... they'd prefer to do it themselves.
