Thought I would give writing a trip report a try about my 1st solo trip. I am not real good writing down my experiences, so nothing extravagant here lol The link to my pre-trip report is in my signature if you would like to know a little bit about me.
Cast of characters – Me! Age 45
Dates – May 5th – 9th Staying at Pop Century
Day of arrival Monday May 5th-
After dh left for work & the boys for school I finished getting ready to leave for the airport. My flight was scheduled to depart around noon. All my packing was done except for a few things I needed to use this morning. The drive to the airport is about 45 minutes, so I left around 8:30 am giving me plenty of time. I was a little nervous during my drive to the airport, I guess realizing that I was really going alone was finally sinking in & flying makes me a little nervous anyway. I had already printed my boarding pass the night before, so all I had to do was check my luggage. After checking in I called a friend & got on my computer till it was time to board the plane. I was flying with Air Tran out of Moline, Illinois, the flight left on time as scheduled. My flight was uneventful & to start my vacation I had a Bloody Mary after which put me to sleep :rotfl:
My flight arrived about 15 minutes early & I was very happy to be back on the ground! I get cold on planes so I had put a pair of shorts in my purse & I was going to need them. The weather was beautiful & much warmer than back home. The line for ME was long, but moved pretty quickly. I was able to get on a bus that was full & ready to leave, so no more waiting! The driver was a little annoying with her jokes, I don’t know maybe I was just anxious to get to the resort. Arrived at Pop Century about 40 minutes later & check in was a breeze. I had requested 60’s lakeside, 1st floor & this is exactly what I got :yay: My room was perfect, it was a corner room, number 5125. After changing into my shorts I went outside to check out my surroundings.

I loved my location, very peaceful & quiet! I called my friend that was here with her dd to see where she was & she just happened to be at the resort & we had rooms next to each other, how cool! I was hungry & decided to get something to eat at the food court instead of waiting till I got to a park. My friend & her dd joined me. I had the vegetable lasagna with a bread stick & carrot cake for dessert. The lasagna was very good & filling, the carrot cake was a disappointment. The cake was good, but the frosting was nasty, I had to scrape it off. This was my favorite treat when I was here in 2005, to bad they had to change it :(
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0548-1.jpg
After eating it was time to head to the MK!!!! My friend had planned on going to DTD, but joined me at MK. We lucked out with the bus & did not have a wait, actually I had pretty good luck with the buses during my whole stay. The lines were backed up at MK & I was worried that the park was going to be very busy. For some reason they were doing bag check at the turnstiles before you inserted your ticket to enter the park :confused3 Not sure why they were doing this, but this was the reason for the hold up. Once inside it was not to busy at all. Ah I was finally at my favorite park :cloud9:
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0552-1.jpg
We walked through some shops & then headed for Buzz Lightyear. I never do well at getting high points on this ride, but I still love it. The wait said 20 minutes, but we walked right on. After this we headed over to the HM, my favorite ride at the MK! I could ride this over & over! This was my friends dd’s 1st time riding this(she is 6)& she loved it :thumbsup2 Again we were able to walk right on. We then rode POC, another favorite of mine. I do wish the couple in front of us in line did not show their affection for each other so openly though. I mean they really needed to be back at their room  Luckily they were seated behind us, so I have no idea what was going on nor do I care to know lol After this we walked around some more & then it was time for Wishes. We stood in front of Crystal Palace & had a great view. In all my times of going I have never seen Tinkerbell fly :tinker: Well I did tonight & I was so excited! How awesome, I can’t believe I had always missed this. After the fireworks my friend headed back to the resort & I stayed to walk around some more. I am not real big on doing rides, but I do love to people watch & just take everything in & this is exactly what I did. It was a beautiful night & I couldn’t have been happier. I decided to leave before the park closed at 11pm, so I could avoid the long lines at the bus stop. Plus I had an early morning the next day & needed to get some sleep.
When I arrived to my room, my luggage was waiting for me. I unpacked & got settled for the night. I had a wake up call set for 5:30am.
Next up going to MK before opening with breakfast at CP & Epcot!!

Hi Shannon, you will have so much fun! I was nervous as well & I don't like eating alone. But the meals that I did alone went really well. I did not feel out of place & it was so easy to strike up conversations(which normally I don't do, I tend to be on the shy side).
You will love Pop! I enjoyed just sitting & watching everyone & again talking to people about where they were from, how long they were staying, ect. You will do fine :thumbsup2

Yep! I can't wait. I'll be on a 7 AM flight on Thursday morning so we will be having lunch somewhere at WDW. This trip will be with a friend of mine from high school and college. We are just going for a long weekend (Thursday -> Tuesday) but it will be great to get away.
I am half considering packing tonight since I saw the weather report for Orlando and there will be no chance that I will be wearing the clothes that I will be taking the next 2 days. :rotfl2: (It is only in the 50's to 60's here this week -- no shorts required!)

Day Two MK & Epcot
Today is an early breakfast at MK. I was joining my friend & her dd at Crystal Palace, today is my friends Birthday! My wake up call came at 5:30 am, but the phone was just dead silence, no Stitch yelling at me or Mickey telling me to have a Magical Day :confused3 I got up & got ready for my long day. I met my friend around 7 am & we were all on our way to the MK in no time. We arrived around 7:30 am & only had to wait about 15-20 minutes before we were let into the park. I have never been to the MK before the park opened, let alone at park opening lol This was awesome! I took a few pictures & then we made our way to the CP.

Breakfast was wonderful as usual & the characters were great! My friends DD is so cute when she sees the characters, she has such a sweet giggle & you can see the excitement in her eyes :goodvibes Our table was decorated with Mickey glitter & confetti for my friends Birthday & at the end of our meal she received a cupcake & we sang Happy Birthday to her.

After breakfast we headed over to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pans Flight, another ride that I just love! We also went on the Teacups & Winnie The Pooh. One sad thing to see was the Carousal all boarded up. It is being refurbished & was closed :guilty: We then headed over to Toon Town & My friend & her dd rode Goofy’s Barnstormer. We caught the train in Toon Town & rode to Frontierland. My friends dd wanted to ride BTMRR, but they decided not to wait in line. My mind is a little fuzzy, but I think we headed over to Tomorrowland. My friend & her dd decided to head back to their room, so we said our goodbyes for the day. I had planned on just staying a little while longer & then going back to my room to rest a little before heading to Epcot, well that never happened lol Here are just a couple random pictures I took:

I walked around quite a bit & in no particular order I got on HM, POC, COP, Jungle Cruise, & I rode on the TTA. It was such a beautiful day & I did not want to leave. Around 1pm I was getting hungry & decided to see if I could get a seat at the Plaza Restaurant. I had never eaten here before & was hoping to try it. I was able to get a table & only had to wait about 20 minutes! This is such a cute little restaurant & the servers were all very pleasant. I ordered the vegetable sandwich with broccoli slaw & oh my this was so good! I ate every bite :teeth: I will be eating here again! There was a couple sitting next to me that was on their honeymoon. They were trying to take a picture of themselves, so I offered to take one for them. I love seeing all these couples with their wedding ears, what a way to start your life together

After lunch I walked around some more & then headed towards the front to leave the park. The parade had started so I stayed to watch this. I still do not know how they handle the heat in those costumes, I would just die! After the parade I left MK & decided to catch the boat over to the Polynesian. We stayed here in December & I had bought a ring in the gift shop. A couple months ago I noticed one of the stones had fallen out, so I wanted to see if I could exchange it. The wait for the boat was about 20 minutes. Once I arrived at the Polynesian I was again in awe of the resort. I have a tripped book for August with my boys & I kept thinking how much I would love to stay here again with them. Right now we are booked at Pop Century, but I am hoping for some good AP rates! But that is another story lol I went to the gift shop & had no problem exchanging my ring, yeah! I also bought a couple bottles of perfume. I love the line of Wicked Wahine perfumes & was happy to see they had some in stock. During our stay in Dec. they were out. I sat outside for a while just taking in the resort, how relaxing.

Like I said earlier I had planned on going back to my room, but it was now going on 5 pm, so I decided to catch the monorail & head over to Epcot. I have never been this time of year, so this was my 1st time going during the Flower & Garden Festival. Everything was just so beautiful. I walked around taking pictures of all the topiaries & flowers. The butterfly garden was so neat, but my favorite was the garden from Neverland.

Before heading over to the World Showcase, I snuck in a quick ride on Nemo, such a cute ride & a nice way to relax & cool off.. I had ADR’s at R&C for 7:50 pm & my feet were really starting to hurt. I thought maybe I could luck out & get an earlier seating, nope wasn’t going to happen! Oh well, it was worth a try. My feet hurting was my own fault anyway, I decided to wear my flip flops today instead of my crocs, wrong decision there! I ended up with a nice blister on the bottom of my foot. I love wearing my flips, but I had not worn any yet beings the weather at home was still to cold. So my feet had not had time to adjust to them & I should know better than to wear them for the 1st time at Disney, duh! I walked from Canada over to Italy & decided I could go no further, so I headed back to the UK. Here are some pictures from Canada. I hate to admit this, but I never knew there was this cottage in the back. This is one of the pluses of going solo, you can take your time & find things you had passed over before. It is so beautiful here!

I sat in the Rose Garden & listened to the British Invasion play. My buzzer went off for R&C & I was happy to be seated on the patio :thumbsup2 This is what I was hoping for so I could watch Illuminations. I ordered the steak & fish which was very good. As soon as my meal was served a couple was seated behind me with a child maybe 2 years old? Now please no one get upset, but I ended up getting my dessert to go & watched Illuminations while leaving the park. I was tired from a very long day & this child was scared to death of the fireworks, so I had a constant ear piercing scream in my ear :headache: I do not blame the child, nor was I upset with the child. I was very upset with the parents though. They commented on how scared he was from seeing the 4th of July fireworks, hello he does not want to be here! So instead of sitting inside they thought it would cool to sit outside & watch :confused3 Nice way to traumatize your child more & ruin the atmosphere for everyone around you  I ordered the Toffee Pudding to go & was on my way. The lines for the bus were pretty long & when you are tired it seems to take them even longer. I think I made it back to the resort around 10 pm. I soaked my feet in the tub for a while & got ready for bed. But I had to eat my dessert 1st lol I know not good eating this so late at night, but hey I was on vacation! This is much better when served warm, but I did not have any problems getting it down :rotfl:

I read on another thread that the system is getting overloaded and sometimes you have to wait awhile for Stitch or Mickey to come on. Or it was stated you should make your wakeup calls at strange times, such as 5:37. I'm going to try in June.

I didn't see the thread about the phone, sounds like that might have been my problem.
I haven't been able to get our here and read your trip report and your already this far. Enjoying it so much. Maybe since I will soon be so close, I can drive over one day for just a day trip and try going it alone that way.
Love all the pictures.

Loving your TR! Your Main St photos are great. Love the shot of the train station!
Sounds like a great day, and a long one.
Wandering around the MK with beautiful weather!
We have 8:05 ADRs for Crystal Palace next trip! I'm so excited about this, I've never been in a park before opening. What time did you end up leaving CP. Was the park open by then? Or was it still empty?
Your lunch and your toffee pudding look fabulous.
Your garden photos are gorgeous! I really want to go to the F&G fest some day, just has not worked out time wise yet.
I don't know what those parents at the fireworks were thinking.:sad2:
Looking forward to more!
Kathleen,
I'm the friend who had breakfast with Janet. When we sat down to eat the server told us to go up to the buffet. I didn't notice that Pooh was already in our room and because there were only about 5 tables seated that early he made it through before we got back so my DD & I waited for Pooh to came back. The date stamp on my photo of Pooh was 9:20am. I have made it out of CP before the 9am in that past but most often do not.

I read somewhere on the Dis that in order to get Mickey or whoever is the wakeup call is from to speak, that you have to say hello or something. I am not sure that is true but that is what I have read.
I believe this is true, as I tested it. Mickey & Stitch called and there was nothing but dead silence on the line. I said hello and then Mickey spoke. Nice trip report! You are giving me ideas for my own solo trip coming up soon.

Day 3 HS & Epcot
I woke up around 7 am & took my time getting ready for the day. I now had a blister on the bottom of my foot & my head was burnt, nope didn’t buy the sunscreen for my head :rolleyes1 One thing I really enjoyed about being alone was not feeling rushed to get somewhere, today would be a slower pace for me. I took my shower, ate a granola bar & headed for the bus stop. My 1st destination for today was HS. Again my wait for the bus was not long & I arrived at HS around 10 am. Upon entering the HSM float was just coming down the street.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0612-1.jpg
After watching this go by I headed to The Great Movie Ride. I was able to walk right on & was on the side with the robbery scene. I think I have only seen the gunfight scene once. Still a great ride & one of my favorites at HS. After this I just walked around, not many rides here I care for. I would miss the AP holders preview of Toy Story Mania by one day :( Oh well I will get to experience this in Aug. with my boys & I am really looking forward to it, looks like a very cute, fun ride! There were a lot of characters out, but I did not stop to get any pictures. This is probably the one thing I felt funny about being alone. If I had been with family or friends I would have been in as many lines as possible for character pictures. The soldiers from Toy Story were very funny to watch & were interacting wonderfully with everyone. I also finally figured out how to make it rain while standing under the umbrella but was to shy to ask anyone to take my picture. But at least now I know for the next trip. I headed over to the Animators Courtyard & ran into my friend & her dd. They were on their way to Sci-Fi for lunch. I walked around some & went to see what characters were out. Sorcerer Mickey & The Incredible's were there, I watched for a little while & then decided to head over to Indiana Jones. The show had already started & apparently was full, they had ropes up & were not letting anyone else in, bummer! I decided I was getting hungry & thought I would try B&C. I headed towards Hollywood Blvd. & the Streetmosphere characters were coming out. They are so funny, so I had to watch them for a little while.
I left the park & walked over to catch the boat to the Beach Club. I was seated right away at B&C at the counter. A lady & her ds were seated next to me & this was there 1st time eating here as well. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Bacon & BBQ sauce on the side with an order of onion rings. I love the atmosphere in this little restaurant & the servers were so friendly. I did not feel out of place eating here by myself at all. My lunch was good, but nothing that really wowed me. I think next time I will go just for dessert, they all looked so good!

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0614-1.jpg
After lunch I was still feeling tired from the previous day & decided to head back to the resort. I took the boat back over to HS & then rode the bus to PC, very painless just a little time consuming. I did a little shopping in the gift shop in hopes of getting the tote for $10 with a purchase of $40(I thought it was only $30, oops!). After my items were rang up I asked about the tote & they were sold out. When I arrived on Monday they still had them, so I was bummed that I had missed out. The cm told me that they might get more in on Friday, but that would not work for me as I was leaving early that day. Oh well, what can you do. I went to the foodcourt to get some ice cream. I got a yummy hot fudge brownie sundae.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0616-1.jpg
I sat in the seating area outside of the foodcourt & people watched while I ate my treat. I headed back to my room & called my friend trying to decide if I should book the bounce back for part of my trip in Aug. or for a trip in Dec. The 1st cm I spoke with said deluxe's were not included, but the 2cd time I called I was given quotes for deluxe's :confused3 I decided to not book & just wait for AP rates to come out. I closed the curtains, put my pj’s on & laid down for a quick nap :cloud9: I was to meet my friend at Epcot for dinner. I woke up around 4:30, freshened up & headed for Epcot. I arrived around 5:30 pm & decided to see if fast passes were left for Soaring & Surprise they were! My return time was between 8pm & 9pm. I walked over to the GG to wait for my friend & her dd. They arrived shortly after & we did not have to wait to long before we were seated. This was my 1st time eating here. I loved the character interaction, but the food was so-so. I am glad I tried it, but will be in no hurry to return.

After dinner my friend headed back to the resort & I stayed to ride Soaring. I walked around some more & decided to head back to the resort. I did not feel like messing with the bus crowds at closing. I got back to PC a little after 9pm & decided to have a drink. You can now get Pinacolva's at the Petals Pool Bar :cool1: I feel in love with these in Dec. at the Polynesian, so I was a happy camper!

Back in the area where Lights. Motor, Action! & The Backlot Studio Tour there is an umbrella on one of the corner streets. When you stand under it, you can make it rain. I have always in the past tried pulling on the handle & naturally this never worked & always made me think they had replaced it. This time I noticed their is a vent(not sure what else to call it)on the ground. Stand on this & viola!, the rain will come down.
Makes for a great picture opportunity & I plan on getting one with my boys in Aug. :thumbsup2 Let me know if you find it!

In all honesty I could have just spent all my time at MK & Epcot, these are my 2 favorite parks. I went to HS with intentions of watching the new Block Bash Party, but that didn't happen beings I left early ;) Hopefully in Aug. we can stand the heat for an afternoon to see this. I also never made it to AK. It was in my plans, but just did not happen this trip.

Day 4, final park day
I woke up around 6am, showered & headed to the foodcourt. I had extra cs credits left & decided to have an early breakfast. I arrived at the foodcourt shortly after 7am & thankfully it was not busy yet. I ordered the French toast platter that comes with sausage & bacon. This was very good!
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0636-1.jpg
I headed back to my room to meet my friend so we could go to Epcot for park opening. We met up & headed to the bus stop. Our wait was not long & we arrived around 8:30am. Once we were let into the park we headed over towards the land to wait for the rope drop. We were planning on going right to soaring after rope drop, but decided to ride Nemo 1st beings no one was going that way. We were able to walk right on & were out in no time at all. We walked around & took a few pictures before heading over to Soaring.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0637-1.jpg
The wait time for Soaring said 20 minutes, so we thought we would just stand in line. The line seemed to be longer than the wait posted so we decided to get fast passes. We then headed over to Test Track, the wait said 20 minutes as well but we were able to walk right on. I really enjoy this ride, but that last curve always makes me scream :rotfl: After this ride we decided we would not have time to ride soaring & walk over to the Beach Club for our late breakfast reservations, so we took our time walking around taking more pictures. It was really nice not having a lot of people around.

On our way over to the World Showcase we saw a camera crew setting up & I had to be nosey & see what was going on. They said they were getting ready to shoot a commercial, I was hoping to see someone famous but that didn’t happen ;) We took a few more pictures & then headed to the International Gateway. We noticed a lot of people wearing the YOAMD’s lanyards & it just so happens they handed them out after the got off the boat, we missed out! We were planning on riding the boat to BC but decided to walk down by the water. I never knew this little path was here & thought it was very nice.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/jlcorbin/May%202008/100_0640-1.jpg
We arrived at the BC & checked in at Cape May for our Character breakfast. We were seated within minutes & beings we had late seatings it was not to busy. I think this is my favorite place for breakfast. It seems more laid back & not as rushed as some of the others. We filled our plates & waited for the characters.

My meal was good as usual, except my friend had something floating in her ice tea  & Dale never made his way to our table. Oh well, maybe next time! We headed for the bus stop & met Art The Greeter. This man is so nice & just brings a smile to your face :goodvibes We lucked out on the bus to DTD, it arrived shortly after we got to the bus stop. My friend was going to do some shopping & I wanted to check out POFQ for a possible future stay. After arriving at DTD we split up & I headed over to the boat dock area. What a beautiful & relaxing ride! I had never done this before & was glad I had taken the time to do it. The check in area at POFQ was thankfully not busy & I asked if there was any way I could see a room. The cm’s were very pleasant & I was on my way to see a room in no time. I think the grounds here are lovely & I loved the room I was able to see. I do not think my boys would like it here too much though, but I do see this resort as a place for myself & dh to go to alone. The rooms have a very romantic feel, maybe someday I can talk dh into a trip with just the two of us, but I do not see that happening for quiet some time :(

I caught the boat back to DTD & was planning on gong to CSR to check out this resort but decided to head back to PC instead. I went into the gift shop hoping more totes had arrived, but no such luck. I went back to my room & packed everything that I would not be needing for the next day. It is always sad knowing it is your last day :worried: Beings I was alone packing took me no time at all. I sat outside for a while & met a gentleman from England. He had just arrived with his wife & they were staying for 3 weeks, I could only wish :worship: We had a nice conversation & I really enjoyed listening to his accent.
I met back up with my friend & we headed to the MK. My mind is starting to become blank(I really need to take notes!). I honestly do not remember if I got on any rides, I am bad :sad2: My friends dd wanted her picture drawn, I think these artists do a wonderful job & have some great talent. After walking around some we decided we were getting hungry & headed over to Cosmic Rays, I think we just barely missed the crowds. I have been really good about staying away from burgers(not that it really matters with all the junk I had eaten already :rolleyes1 )so I decided to have the double bacon cheeseburger with fries & chocolate cake for dessert. I loaded up my burger from the fixing’s bar too! I did not take any pictures, we all know what a cheeseburger looks like lol My meal was good & I had satisfied my want for a burger for a while.
The wait times for the rides were getting long & the park was really getting crowded. There were two Spectromagics scheduled for tonight. I was hoping to stay for the 1st one, but there were just to many people & I did not feel like dealing with the crowds. My friend & I both decided to leave. I had not used any of my snack credits so I stopped in the bakery on Main St. & got 4 chocolate chip cookies to take home to my boys. These are so good, but I behaved & did not eat any. We left the park & I said goodbye to my favorite place :sad1:
I told my friend about not being able to purchase the tote. She was not leaving till Saturday & said she would check again for me & get one if any came in. I gave her my receipt from my previous purchase & I am happy to report that more arrived Friday & she was able to get one for me :yay: Now I can use this for my Aug. trip. I said my goodbyes to my friend & her dd. I was so happy to be able to meet her & with this being my 1st solo trip, it was very nice knowing she was there if I needed her :goodvibes
Up next, departure day & final thoughts.

Ooohhh, I want to go to the Flower Festival! DS wants to check out POFQ's pool. I'll have to show him your pics, he really will with those pics. Great shots and really sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Ours is right around the corner.

LOVE your photos!!!!!
You know I couldn't remember either but I just looked at the time stamps on my photos and after Emma had her picture drawn Emma & I went on BTMRR then we went to Cosmic Rays then I took Emma's picture with Pleakly (sp?) the DVC statue in Tomorrow Land at 7:50 and I took pictures of the HUGE crowds on Main St at 8:01 so we couldn't have done any rides.
I was so happy to be able to meet her & with this being my 1st solo trip, it was very nice knowing she was there if I needed her :goodvibes We loved spending time with you! I don't think I would have done the DDP without you. It was great to know if I needed help you were there. I had never traveled with a child so young alone before. Can't wait to see you again in August!

You got some great shots at POFQ. We stayed at POR on one of our trips but we did not get over to FQ. Now I wish we had.
It is so sad when the last day comes..........:(. It is depressing.

Departure & Final thoughts
I had scheduled another wake up call for 5:45am & again silence. Next trip I will try what has been suggested & actually say something into the phone & see if this works :thumbsup2 I got showered & packed the last few things up. My ME pick up time was 7:30am, so I headed off to check my luggage. There was no wait & my luggage was checked in no time at all & I had my boarding passes in hand. I still had one cs credit left, so I went to the food court to see if I could get something to take on the plane. I asked one of the cashiers if I could get muffins or something similar instead of a regular breakfast. She told me I could get two pastries & two drinks, so that is what I did! I got a blueberry muffin & some type of cheese Danish loaf(sorry can’t remember what it was called), a chocolate milk, & a water. I headed off to wait for ME & when I arrived there was a bus already there. I asked the bus driver if this was my bus & he said no, but I was more than welcome get go now as they had room. At 1st I said no I would wait, but then changed my mind & figured why not. So in no time at all I was headed back to the airport. The movie they show on the way back is so depressing, even worse at 7 in the morning :rotfl: I drank my milk as I watched Mickey & the gang telling us they hoped they would see us all again real soon :worried:
Beings I arrived at the airport a little early I had time to look around in some of the shops. My big purchase was a pinky ring lol I headed for the security & could not believe my eyes, the line was non existent! I walked right up with no one in line & was through with a blink of an eye, that does not happen very often. On the way to my terminal I decided to stop at Burger King & get a breakfast sandwich. I still had my pastries, but I wanted something hot & still had time to kill. After my quick breakfast, I had a small disaster lol I went to the ladies room & somehow one of my pastries fell out of the bag & onto the floor, yuck! Oh well I still had my blueberry muffin lol Before to long I was on the plane & headed for home. The flight was uneventful as was my drive home. I was excited to get home as my dh was remodeling some of our home & while I was away our new furniture for the living room & dining room had arrived. So I was excited to see this as well as seeing my family :goodvibes
Final Thoughts
I booked this trip on a whim & once it really sunk in that I was going alone I did get nervous. I was worried that I would feel lonely & that eating by myself would be an embarrassment. But all of those fears proved to be wrong thankfully. I felt very comfortable at PC & never felt afraid & I really enjoyed meeting & talking with others at the resort. Getting just myself ready to head out was so clam & stress free. Going to the parks walking around & not worrying about which ride was next or making sure I had my children in site, or listening to :I am hungry!” was awesome! I cherish my trips with my family, but this one was for me & not having to deal with everything else, well it was a little piece of heaven :cloud9: I was able to take my time & notice things that I had not seen before, I could sit down whenever I felt like it & just watch what was going on in my surroundings. The meals that I did have by myself were painless & I did not feel out of place or that everyone was watching me. No one even really took notice, I was just one more person in the crowd enjoying their time away from home. Going solo was a wonderful experience for me, I hope to do this again some time & trust me there will be a next time ::yes::
Thank you all for reading along!

Sounds like you had a great time. Your last morning went much smoother than ours, guess I need to get my trip report done.
I may have to try an alone trip. Does sound really relaxing! I've really enjoyed reading about your experience before and during!

Your report is great, I have never gone solo but I did work at Disney World for 4 months (on the college program) and went to the parks by myself on my days off, I loved it! I would like to take a real solo trip some day. And I am embarassed to admit that even though I worked at Epcot (in fact right next door to Canada in the UK) I never noticed that little cottage before! I am excited to check it out when I go in August.
I love how your report is so spontaneous, with you just deciding where to go and what to do based on how you are feeling at the time. That seems to be a rarity for trip reports  Have fun planning your August trip!

I might try, I am not real good at them. I am better with just letting pictures tell the story lol Hope you have a wonderful time & please write a TR, I love reading them!

How exciting working at Epcot! Don't feel bad about the cottage, it is tucked away back there, very pretty setting though. I am glad I came upon it! One of the things that I really liked about gong alone, was not having to worry about having a plan in place. I am looking forward to the Aug, trip with my boys, but I have told them we are going to take it slow. We will see lol

Long time no see. Glad to read the last of your report. I finished mine last week...........:rotfl2: We were going to go in September but, plans changed. Now we can't decide if we are going back next May or in March. I vote for March but, my DH thinks if we don't leave on a Friday we are missing out................:rolleyes1.
