I'm a big fan of clouds. Big white puffy ones in a bright blue sky. Love 'em!
Read this article in today's paper.

Really inventive! Pretty ingenius! ..... but still.....fake clouds!
The article says Disney will be floating Mickey head clouds over the Magic Kingdom next month. I can imagine it's going to be a really cool effect that I actually wouldn't mind being there to see! Keep your eye on the sky if you are there!

Wow, that's cool that a person could do that. Leave it to Disney to catch on to it right away.

Well, I'll love it when it's Mickey Mouse and I'm in Disney, but do I really want to see corporate logos floating around cities. Mmmm... not really. It bad enough we are bombarded with advertising on the internet, TV, radio, billboards, trains, buses, etc. etc. I don't want to see the Nike Swoosh in the air over the Mag Mile in Chicago.
Last week I heard a rumor that one of the beer companies was going to try to project it's logo onto the moon. Really, wouldn't the money that it would cost to try to do something like that be better used to help feed the hungry of the world?? Or at least give 'em some beer?? ;)

WDW really doesn't need more people trying to walk around, looking up, and not watching where they are going. Someone's going to get run over by an ecv over this one. The concept is neat, I have to admit, but I'm not looking forward to the potential crashes!:headache:

This is very disturbing to me. Maybe I've been reading too much Michael Crichton(i.e. Next)but I don't like it. :scared1:

This sounds like a very novel concept that would be interesting as long as its not overused like most other marketing concepts. I don't think that seeing a cloud in the sky is going to make me want to spend money though... Who knows :)
I did however get a photo of one a few years ago supplied by mother nature herself... Its not a perfect representation of a Mickey head but its pretty close. The creepy thing is that this it appears to be hovering over the haunted mansion! I would have loved to snap more shots of it but I didn't notice the cloud until I got home and loaded the photo onto my PC. I assure you there is no photoshopping done to this.

Here's the website, with what appears to be actual video (or really good CGI) that includes some Mickey heads:

And here is a download page where you can download a video and see the Mickey heads up close:

A neat idea for mickey mouse heads but I dont wanna see logos floating around in the sky. My kids and I have fun laying down trying to make up what clouds look like! Dont ruin that! :sad2:

I don't need a Mickey cloud, but a nice canopy of clouds to shade me from the "surface of the sun hot" Florida summers wouldn't be all bad.
