I have posted many more pix from this trip that are not directly linked from my reports on Photobucket. If anyone wants to check them out in their entirety here is the link

OK, I'm going to post as I go here in Orlando, I have a few pics from Friday, and I took over 200 yesterday, so I'll just post a few for now, as we're heading out for breakfast any minute. If you lovely people remember, I wasn't born with the trip reporting gene, but I'll do what I can!
We went from this (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0079.jpg) and this (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0080.jpg). halfway there (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0133.jpg) to this! (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0157.jpg)
I love when sitting where I can see the wing do this (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0154.jpg).
We're heading out for some breakfast, probably Ihop, I love that place, I'll be back with more later. Took 200 pics yesterday, so I have to go through them, edit them for the internet, decide what I want to use, and get them up here!
Weather is co-operating so far!!!!

OK, it's Sunday night, I'm back for a little more mid trip, trip reporting.
After arriving we got our rent-a-car at Dollar, only $168 for 10 days for an economy car, that's the least I have ever paid renting a car down here. We drove to the condo (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0184.jpg) It's called Westgate Palace, very nice, and it's so close to the parks you can see them (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0208.jpg) from the window by the elevator, here's the (zoomed out version) (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0209.jpg)
We went to Publix for some supplies and then hung out for a bit. Then we went to the Citywalk Cineplex to see Ironman, I thought it was the best of all the Marvel movies :thumbsup2

Early Monday on a bright and sunny day here in Orlando! (I do not miss the dreary weather I left in PA :cool1: )
Anyway, Sat we did the Simpsons AP preview, I put some pics on Todd's report on the ride, he did a great job, so I just added a few photos to his TR. sorry I missed you Todd, with us not getting there until 8:30 Saturday morning, that messed up the plans, oh well there will be HHN18!!!!
After the Simpsons ride we went on the Mummy (this is Sherry's fav ride out of both the parks) I was a bit surprised that the locker was only free for 1/2 hour!!! I know it was earlier in the day, I think it was about 9:30ish when we got to the Mummy. We don't have EPs yet as we're not at the HRH until Friday the 16th. We barely made it back to our locker. It is $2 for anything from 1/2 hour to an hour, not sure how it goes up after that. The thing that kind of irritated me was, if those free times don't change later in the day, on a Saturday, without EP, you are guaranteed to be paying to store your bag!!! I know for a fact it was at least an hour free to start last October.......hmmmm..... It's not that I have a problem paying 2 bucks, it's the principal that they are making you store your stuff (even sometimes fanny packs from what I've heard) so they should not make you pay to store them, at least not for the duration of that particular ride!) Well, maybe the free time gets longer as the day goes on, I will definitely be checking that while I am here. Today (Monday) is pretty much IOA day, so I probably won't be at the studios at all today, but we know how that can change in an instant ;)
Back to Saturday, after the Mummy we wanted a drink and a snack, but none of the stands or carts were open for a soda and a pretzel???? It's Saturday, 10AM on the dot, and we had to go to Mel's, and they were just opening at about 10:10. So we split a hamburger and a large soda. Then we saw this girl, who wouldn't stop staring at me, I think she (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0306.jpg) digs me   She wasn't bad looking and all, but I was with my wife, she could have been more discreet, I don't care how many presidents she knew :rotfl2:
We then went on Shrek, that was not even a 10 minute wait, because they had both theaters open already, good move on their part. We sat in the 2nd row from the back, and I swear the 3D was better back there, I don't know, maybe it's just me getting old and I'm not remembering October all that clearly?? We strolled back towards the Simpsons to get our free squishees, since we weren't in the mood for them earlier, I was taking random pix with my new camera, I was experimenting with settings and stuff, I like having a camera with more manual settings, (Canon Digital Rebel Xsi with the kit lens, didn't have the $$ for the lens I REALLY wanted) I just don't know enough about them yet. A few of the pix are here (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0325.jpg) and here (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0327.jpg)
The lagoon has been Neutered (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0338.jpg), I actually wrote something else, but I don't want to get in trouble again and get booted out of here ;)
OK, have to run, I hear IOA calling me! Be back later, hope you guys are liking my version of a TR!

Did you watch it in the DLP theater?
No, we didn't feel like waiting another 45 min to an hour it would have been for the next start time for the DLP theater. Does is make that much of a difference that you know of? I'd go see it again, I liked it that much!

My son went and wants to go again. There were reports on here that the theater itself is better (2nd floor). A buddy who is a real Marvel/ comic book geek loved it and says its the best so far.

Got to tell me if the little bar called Alcatraz is open. Its caddy corner from Disaster on Fisherman's Wharf. If so, tell them they need to be open the last week of May (it is open seasonally) we love happy hour there having some peel and eat shrimp and hanging on the dock:thumbsup2

Will check on that tomorrow for ya, it is going to be a mostly Studios day, as today was IOA day (TR to come soon!)
I have to say, today was close to perfect! Mid 80s, hardly any humidity, not a cloud in the sky, and the place was mostly dead, did a lot of rides in IOA! Will officially report on it later.
After such an awesome day we are watching T2 on AMC on an awesome flat screen plasma here in the condo, being the Sci-Fi geeks we are, it doesn't get much better than this :thumbsup2
Will try to catch up soon with my live report, took a PLETHORA (I love that word) of pix today to sort through!
Good night all! Be back soon!

OK, trying to remember how Saturday went after I got some lagoon shots, I think we just walked around and took in the atmosphere, as the weather was excellent, a little hot, but excellent just the same. I was a little shocked at the amount of people in line (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0348.jpg)for Disaster already, this was right around noon. Here's a pic for you Lucy fans (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0356.jpg). I was a "real man" on this day, I opened a bottle of water for my wife and ripped up my fingernail (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/finger-1.jpg) pretty good. Of course I had to take a picture of it, and milk it for all that it's worth :rotfl: Next up, Lunch at Margaritaville (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0405.jpg)

Lots of Berks County, PA people on this thread, including me.....
LOVED seeing Lucy, since I happen to be Lucy and I Love Lucy being my FAVORITE show of all times (wonder why)
We are heading to RPR in July for 3 nights, can't wait - I don't even like rides, but LOVE the resort and the parks.
What a GREAT deal on the rental car - I hope we can find such a deal.
Thanks again for the reports.:cool1:

Lunch at Margaritaville (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0408.jpg) was a lot of fun, we ate at the bar (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0420.jpg), as there was a 35 wait for a table at the time. I had the chicken sandwich and Sherry had a burger, simple, but VERY good. Sherry even had a margarita (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0439.jpg), and I can count on both hands the amount of drinks she has had since I know her (23 years now) so this was an occasion to say the least, which made me happy! (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0436.jpg)
So we headed back up to IOA, took some random shots
Here (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0457.jpg)
Here (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0552.jpg)

and Here (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0555.jpg)
So ya know how sometimes ya just strike up a conversation with someone, and it clicks. Well, up my DD I got to talking with a guy about my HHN lanyard I was wearing (now, this guy looks familiar, but I can't quite place him???) then he tells me who he is, and it all comes together, he played Rocky Horror in the Rocky Horror Picture show Tribute at HHN17! His name is Ryan, and he is the coolest guy. Here's the 2 of us (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0572.jpg) Now here we are playing around with is son, Jackson. (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0576.jpg) We had a blast, and I have a new friend here in Orlando. We talked about the music business and things that we've done over the years (played in bands, recording ect....) overall great guy, and we have already communicated through email since that Saturday, I think we will stay in touch. He works full time at Disney doing voices and characters, I just can't think of which ones right now. So After that, we went home and chilled at the Condo for the night. I'll be back with more when I can!

Will tell Sherry about the margarita, we're going to try and get there again before the vaca is over! We did Lombard's on Tuesday, went easy today with Richters's for lunch, then Ponderosa for Dinner. I know the Ponderosas can be hit or miss, but whoever cooked my Fillet Mignon, was on the money, it was excellent!

I've been in that bar :rolleyes1 , it was either last Oct, or the one before, I remember because there were a few other Pennsylvania peeps watching a Penn State game on one of the TVs in there. There are some duplicate pix, well, if you look real close there are slight differences, from me experimenting with the camera, I'm going to try and get rid of those, I have a little time right now, as Sherry is laying down, and we're probably not heading out until later.

I know it was before noon when I stopped in, talked to a real nice girl, (more like a young lady, not a girl as in a teenager or anything) who I think said she has been there for like 9 years. I think I'm remembering that conversation correctly??
Not sure about today yet, Sherry is sleeping now, she's not feeling well. She wants me to go without her, but I would feel guilty doing that. Anyway, not sure yet, I'll definitely be there tomorrow, as we will be so close at the HRH. I think her antibiotics will kick in, and after some good rest, she'll be able to come over as well!

Thanks everyone, Sherry is definitely better today, that Z-Pack (antibiotics) that the Doc called in for her has really helped. She got a lot of rest, and yesterday we only went for a leisurely stroll and just a few rides (more me than her, she just wanted to get out in the nice weather) late in the day (she insisted, I would never drag her to the parks if she didn't feel up to it)
We were asleep a little after 10 last night, so now we're ready for the next 3 days at the HRH :thumbsup2

Ok, I have decided to back track a little and put some links to pix that I took our first Saturday (May 10th) at the parks.
In no particular order, since my trip reporting gene hasn't fully developed. Here are the cats (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0449.jpg) that you can hear as you enter the Port of Entry (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0445.jpg) at IOA.
Since my wife Sherry missed our Rottweiler Tasha (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/Tasha-5-08.jpg) so much I took a picture of these (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0371.jpg) for her.
The weather was so beautiful I had to take a pic of the awesome Orlando sky (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0372.jpg), since the weather we left in PA so terrible!
Here's the Hard Rock Cafe (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0411.jpg), and some hotel transportation. (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0414.jpg)
I love Marvel Superhero Island (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0458.jpg), I can't decide if that or The Lost Continent (with our favorite talking fountain (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_1750.jpg)) is my favorite??

OK, Sunday May 11th. We didn't go to the parks at all. We slept in late, and hung around the condo for a while, then we went to Old Town to walk around, check out the shops and of course, spend some $$$ ;)
Here is the view of Wet & Wild (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0599.jpg) from the ground floor of our condo. I was so into the awesome weather I took more pictures of the clouds (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0597.jpg).
I had to take some pics of the old style coaster at Old Town. It is a green, not exactly Hulk green, but green none the less. Here are a few shots of it.
Pic1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0601.jpg), pic2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0603.jpg), pic3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0604.jpg), pic4 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0605.jpg), and one more (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0606.jpg)
We walked around checking out some of the shops, here are a few random Old Town Pix
Pic1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0611.jpg), Pic2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0613.jpg), pic3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0614.jpg), pic4 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0618.jpg).
Of course I had to take care of some business stuff (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0615.jpg) with one of my audio guys back here. Sherry didn't yell at me for talking on the phone about work while on vacation, because having a small business is unpredictable as to when something comes up. Thank God for Cell phones!
I love the dog socks, of course we had to get some Rottweiller socks (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0617.jpg), because sherry missed our baby Tasha (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/Tasha-5-08-2.jpg), who was back here in Bernville with my son. Of course Sherry had to go in here (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0619.jpg), and get some gifts for our pets (Timmy (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/timmy.jpg) and Joe (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/Joe.jpg), the cats, and Tasha (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/Tasha2.jpg) the Rotty)
This was a neat leather shop (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0625.jpg) that had a lot of real cool stuff, didn't buy anything, just looked around. I love this laser tag place that has a crashed UFO (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0629.jpg) in the side of the building :thumbsup2
Here's Sherry (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0646.jpg) looking happy because she just bought something :rotfl:
After spending a few hours meandering around Old Town, we went to Target for some more basic supplies. Then we went to an A&W drive in. It was cool to have someone bring us our food, we don't have any around here that I am aware of, something different, the food wasn't bad. It was a gorgeous night, so we chilled out in the rent-a-car and listened to the radio (I forget the station, but it was a classic rock station, they must have played 10 songs that night that I played in cover bands back in the 80s ;)) let the breeze come through the open windows, ate our food and talked about how awesome our vacation was going so far! :goodvibes :goodvibes
Next up when I get some time, Monday May 12th, that was IOA day.

We stayed at the Westgate Palace, before going to the Hardrock (it's lake for water sports and such, shares the water with Wet N Wild, it's that close to Uni) , not sure what the prices would be per night, as it was a timeshare exchange! It was very nice, when the only complaint was the buzzer on the elevator was a very annoying timbre, that's a good stay!!!! :rotfl:

Well, I just spent a good 40 minutes working on the next day of my report, and suddenly Firefox took a dump!!!!! and everything I had typed and all the links to my pics on Photobucket are gone! I think it's more Vista on this laptop, than Firefox. Anyway, I'm so frustrated, I'll have to try again tomorrow.
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhgggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... :( :furious:
I am trying to get this done when I can, the trip report Gods are against me today, as I have to leave soon for a live sound show, and won't be back until 1AM tomorrow.

OK, I'm going to try this again. Monday May 12th, we arrived at the parking garage around 9:30, and as is custom, I had to take a picture of where we parked (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0661.jpg). As we walked into IOA, I took some random pix. Pic1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0662.jpg), Pic2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0663.jpg), Pic3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0665.jpg), then, just for the heck of it, I took a picture of the picture taking guy (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0667.jpg)! First up was the Hulk, I took some shots of the hulk as well, I just like taking pictures, no real rhyme or reason, just cause :)
Hulk1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0671.jpg), Hulk2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0672.jpg), Hulk3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0673.jpg), Hulk4 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0674.jpg), Hulk5 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0675.jpg), Hulk6 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0677.jpg) and Hulk 7 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0680.jpg). Sherry wasn't feeling up to doing coasters yet, so I rode it myself this time. Then I rode Dr. Doom (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0532.jpg), Hadn't talked Sherry into doing that with me yet, but it was early in the vacation :goodvibes
We both rode Spidey, when we rode it over the weekend, it was a tad out of sync, and I couldn't really hear the voices of the characters during the ride, but the sound effects levels were fine?? Anyway, this time the ride was spot on. Took some random Marvel Island shots before and after Spidey. Marvel1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0690.jpg), Marvel2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0693.jpg), Marvel3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0694.jpg), Marvel4 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0698.jpg).
Our next goal was to stroll up to DD. We took our time, savoring the awesome weather and taking in the view. Of course I was taking pix along the way. Pic1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0710.jpg), Pic2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0713.jpg), Pic3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0716.jpg), Pic4 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0715.jpg).
Here are some Harry Potter construction pix from near the entrance of the Flying Unicorn. HP1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0717.jpg), HP2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0718.jpg), HP3 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0720.jpg).
I'm going to have to continue this day later, have to run, at least I got it posted this time, no Vista crashes :thumbsup2

Ya know, that is what I have always done when posting a TR that is more involved, now the one time I don't and Vista dumps on me!:(
But I did get more done today, than what I lost yesterday, so I guess technically, I'm ahead of the game :)

OK, I have been really busy, so I apologize for not continuing this yet. I will try very hard to get something on here tonight! ;) At this point, I'm going to have to look at the pictures just to remember what we did, and in what order. Better consult with my better half, she probably will remember better than me :lmao:

OK, we rode DD twice. I think I like the last row on either dragon as much as the first, feels like more G-forces and more air. Of course I had to take some pics up by DD.
Pic1 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0722.jpg), pic2 (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0723.jpg), and my favorite place to eat (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0728.jpg) in the parks :cool1: . Our favorite yappy fountain (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0732.jpg), the always closed (while I'm there anyway) Fire eaters grill (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0734.jpg), the drooling guy (OK, we rode DD twice. I think I like the last row on either dragon as much as the first, feels like more G-forces and more air. Of course I had to take some pics up by DD.), and a zoomed in (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0737.jpg) drooling guy. I forget what these guys (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0738.jpg) are called (maybe a Griffin?), but they always stand still when I take their picture. Here is a very empty Seuss Landing (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0739.jpg) at 11AM on a Monday, nice.......
The Hulk (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0740.jpg) and Marvel Island from the bridge going into Seuss, more empty Seuss pix (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0746.jpg). Not sure who these 2 are (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0748.jpg), but they needed their pic taken as well! Oh and don't forget this! (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0784.jpg)
After walking around and just enjoying the weather and atmosphere, we had to go to the Enchanted Oak for lunch. Here's that cool stained glass (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0835.jpg) in the middle of the ceiling. Here I am (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/IMG_0844.jpg), happy as can be in the Oak! We made our way back around to Marvel, checking out the shops and just having a great time. Then I went on Doctor Doom (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/riprufus/May%2008/doom.jpg) again, (that's me, 3rd from the left, I was pointing out Sherry taking our pix to my new friends) just can't stay away!
