I've been hearing of how the food portions are large. And what if we're too full for dessert??? If I've purchased the DDP, I'm not passin' up my paid-for dessert! Will Disney allow me to take it back to the hotel if we choose?

Yes they do but you'll be stuck carrying the food with you for the rest of the day. :) My father usually has at least one "doggie bag" a day.

We would have a stroller, so no biggie on carrying it around, plus if it's dinner, we might even go straight to the hotel. Which brings me to another question..will the Disney resort allow outside food to be brought in?

We took our desserts to go more often than not last year , both TS and CS and will probably do the same this year. They made great snacks later on. We also brought a 5 day cooler and all thedrinks and breakfast stuff we needed for our trip with us to the hotel. We carried a small soft cooler with bottled water into the parks each day.

Of course they will plenty of people not bring back desserts etc... from dining, which is Disney property, we did several times last year. Also people including us pick up food and items for the duration of the vacation for in their room, ie... fruit, snacks, drinks. We have brought food with us and shopped after arrival the past few years.

don't forget to ask for forks! (otherwise you can pick them up at any CS)

Sure, we took desserts to go and kept them in the fridge in the room for snacks. Also, since we spend a lot of afternoons at the resort pool we eat counter service lunches. We all have the refillable mugs so we get bottles of water with our counter service lunches and keep those in the room fridge and take them to the parks in the morning.

We are counting on to go boxes for dessert for a late night snack after the kids are asleep and we are watching TV. We also are planning to lose 25 pounds each before we go, so we can gain it all back while we are there.:lmao:
