I'm pretty sure we're 4 hours 'behind' GMT right now, because of Daylight Saving time. So I believe 7pm eastern would be 11pm in England. :)

The chat is not working, and is not tied to the boards, so no password in the world will get it to work for you at this time. When it was working, we all signed in as guests.

It is not tied to the boards, is how it was explained to me. But since it's not working, you cannot log in at all.

There is a link near the top of the page (along with User CP, and Blog) which takes you to the chat rooms.(Chatrooms let you talk to other DISers in real time, rather than having to refresh a page to read new posts). Since the server switchover, the chat room has only been opened sporadically for special occasions...such as the best cruise giveaway in the world, and the other night for a brief celebration of our one year countdown until Podcast Cruise. Alex left the chat open for a while after the chat, and I mistakenly thought (along with a couple of others) that maybe it was open for good...but I was wrong. The chat is nonfunctioning unless it is specifically opened by one of the webmasters, which I imagine they will only do for special occasions.

Thanks for the explanation Mindy :goodvibes I have never been around when they had one of the special chats so it's all new to me. Hopefully I will get to be part of one someday.

There was an impromtu chat last night on a board that I think is not associated with the boards.. we just followed the link someone sent over.. It was a great room and no password or anything was needed. It started around 7:00 and was still going when I went to bed at 10:30
