Hi all - we will be at CS for the first time at the end of April. We like to have a few things in the room so I was wondering if there was a store to purchase at CS. Are things like soda, milk and muchies available or are you limited to the food court for such purchases. With two small children I like to have cereal, milk, bread, peanut butter (grin) and snacks in the room rather than having to purchase every time. TX

The store carries all of these items but they are rather pricey. Will you have a car? If so it would be cheeper to pick these items up on the way to the resort. Even if you check in to the resort and your room isn't ready bell services can hold you items and keep your groceries cold.

The store at CS is big, but I agree that it is very pricey! I also don't remember many groceries in stock. ? If you have a car, definitely visit a grocery store or Walmart. Another option is to visit the convenience mart at the Exxon next to the Boardwalk.

...pack some of the non-perishables (like the 9-pack of individual cereal servings, Pop-Tarts, cookies, juice boxes, etc) in a carry-on? We did, and, even though it is an extra item to carry, it will be worth it. Besides, you won't be carrying it BACK home and, now you have another bag to carry all those souvenirs...!!!!
P.S. - you will LOVE the CSR - the pool, the Pepper Market, the HUGE Disney store, "Mickey" boat rentals, the theming, (need I say more?)

Are you "locked into" using Mear's via a package?? Consider using a town car service. You will be provided with a 30 minute grocery stop on your way to your resort. Publix is nearby and reasonably priced...you could buy enough for breakfast in your room, snacks, bottled water, soda, etc......you could also pick up a styrofoam cooler to fill with the ice from the hotel to keep everything "chilly".
Seriously think about this....a town car service is quite comparable in price and the service and convenience is AWESOME!!!

Have you looked into www.netgrocer.com?
I used them for my trip this past November. When we checked into CSR our package was waiting for us. We did have to walk to the Convention Center to pick it up.
It was great I didn't have to pack diapers, baby food.....

Thanks again, everyone.
No I am not using Mears as part of a package but at $25 vs $85 plus tip it seems to be the best deal for me.
I will look into net grocer though - that could work.

Yep - no problem, can read! Actually the price is $28 per person round trip and I have a coupon for $3 off, which makes it $25 for me and dd is free. Children 4-11 are only $20 before the $3 coupon btw.
TTC or Youride would be at least $100 after tip so I have done the math. Even at Disney prices I don't think I will save $75 on cereal and milk by using a grocery stop. I have used TTC many times in the past ftr and love the service. Its just not cost effective with dd and I this time.
Anymore comments on the Sundries shop are most welcome.
