DS is having an 18th *yes, 18th* Birthday Bash at a local Dance Club.. They are having Teen night that night so we reserved the Party room upstairs for him and his friends... Mom & Dad are paying the cover charged for all his friends as well as having a Bunch of Pizzas delivered to the room.. popcorn::

soo, He asks "Mommy" to bake him some of her delicious cupcakes for his party.. :lovestruc Now of course I will never refuse him cupcakes.. Then he tells me well I will need about 60 of them!! He figured 2 per person and he will have at least 30 people there..

My question is... How to I get them from Home to the Club without them getting destroyed? :confused3 I can't cover them without the iceing to get ruined.. I don't want to send them with him cause they'll never make it in one piece.. But I'm at a loss.. I don't have big enough boxes or containers for that many.. Plus, I know the containers will get forgotten at the club so I don't want to use my good Tupperware..

Any ideas? Help?

I can go early and will to set up the room.. Some of his female friends and I are decorating the room ahead of time to surprise him..

Thanks in advance

Can you bring the cupcakes unfrosted and frost them when you get there? That is what I try to do when I have to move cupcakes. If the cupcakes tip over on the way, it just isn't a biggie.

Also - if you have a Michaels near you, they usually have cake boxes, in the cake decorating area, which are perfect for cakes/cupcakes. We also use the disposable aluminum pans, that we buy in bulk from Sams club, they are also sold in "party good" stores.

When I supply them for the school parties I use old ice cream tubs or old biscuit tins (the kind people give you at Christmas, or you buy with biscuits for cheese in and end up making a big mound in your cupboard before falling all over you when you're trying to get something else :lmao: ) But our frosting sets and I know yours stays soft. So I'd go with the ice them on site route:thumbsup2

Can you ask you local grocery store if you can get the cupcake containers they sell theirs in? Here, Publix does that.:)

I've done this a few times, you can move them frosted or unfrosted. I get some disposable aluminum cupcake pans at the store and then get cardboard flats from the grocery or soda store - you know, the inch to 2 inch high cardboard box bottom that the stores display cans in.

If you cannot get the boxes then I put them in my roasting pans (I have 3 of them) or oblong laundry baskets.

Thank you very much for your ideas.. I think just packing them unfrosted would be the best since there will be 60+ cupcakes.. I could even leave them on Cookie Sheets to travel and set up a table just for the cupcakes..

Thank you again so much

I always put them in the top of a computer paper box. WB Mason box tops work the best.
