I, like all the pod cast team, have been overwhelmed re: the outpouring of caring & concern from all the dis-ers/pod cast listeners. I have been quietly reading all the postings since Bob passed away & have derived sooo much comfort from reading them & seeing the pictures.
I am ok, as are Brian, Erin, & Matt. We have myriad wonderful memories of Bob to carry us through as well as the support of our good friends.
I thank you & hope you all stay with the Dis & continue to enjoy the site & the pod casts (when the team resumes them)

I'm sorry your first post on the DIS Unplugged board had to be under the current circumstances...but I hope you'll be able to come back and post again. I've also got my fingers crossed that you'll still be joining us on the cruise next year as I know many of us would like to raise a glass (or two!) in Bob's honor and would love for you to be there as well. Take care of yourself and know that you can come here anytime if you need some cheering up. :hug:

This will be my first trip to Disney World in September and I just wanted to share that seeing the 'World' through Bob's eyes has helped spark my excitement to go even more. It was obvious how much he loved his family, his friends, this community and Disney. I am grateful to have gotten to "meet" him through his vision of Disney World. Thanks so much for posting. My wife Mary and I met you, Bob and Brian at the podcast meet in December. We are so happy that we had the chance to meet Bob "in person" even though we felt we knew him already from the podcast. Being New Englander's from the Boston area (Brockton & N. Attleboro), we never felt that Bob HAD an accent. ;)

I had such a good time speaking to Bob about where I could get fried whole belly clams and other culinary delights near Disney. He gave me quite a few tips on a wide range of subjects. He will be sorely missed by his many fans.

Words do no justification for the warmth that your husband brought to the Dis Unplugged Podcast. The entire team seemed to have felt like they knew a great MAN. A great man that would lend a helping hand in a blink of an eye and maybe faster if it were not for his "PAUSES"...(quietly laughing). You Husband, Father to your children, and butt of all wise cracks on the podcast came across to me as a GREAT MAN, A GENTLEMEN AND A SCHOLAR. He is truely what represents what is right with the HUMAN RACE. He showed everyone what is meant by treating everyone that you come in contact with like your brother or your sister. I feel somewhat embarrassed to say that I just spotted this thread. I wanted to add my condolences here to you Diana, Brian, Erin and Matt. I loved waiting each week to see what Bob was going to do or say in the next show. I loved his "props" although I never got to see them exactly. I would crack up hearing how small and gray the lettering was on his emails to the point where he'd have a hard time reading them himself. I really looked forward to having a mojito with him on the cruise. I knew just which one I was going to buy for him. Disney Cruise Line has pineapple mojito. It sounds odd, but hey, Bob loved pineapple Dole Whips and he liked mogeetos, so I figured this would be up his alley!

Like others have stated, I truly hope that you and your family will still be able to join us on the cruise next year! It will be an honor to meet you all.

I've only been listening to the podcast for a little less than a year and Bawb kept me very entertained! I think he actually enjoyed the "ribbing" from the podcast crew!

Before I saw a picture of him, from his "heavy Mass. accent", I pictured him to look like Cliff from Cheers - that's what he sounded like to me.

You know that Bawb is probably looking down from heaven waving to everyone - the podcast show must go on! Then he will probably go have a mojeeto or Dole Whip and finally get to meet and chat with WALT DISNEY himself!! I picture Bawb and Walt floating in a "golf cart with no wheels" on top of the clouds. Bawb will be telling Walt how WDW has changed since the mid-1960's and Walt will be smiling - delighted that the "most magical place on earth" had such a profound effect on Bawb - a true kid at heart!!

I just got to listen to the Disneyland podcast this morning and had a heavy heart all day learning of Bawb's passing. He had a tremendous talent and made everyone laugh - even if it was at his own expense!

He will be missed by everyone and we were lucky to have "met him" through the podcasts! His shoes (and ECV) will be very hard to fill!
