Hi, I am planning my first trip to Disney and was considering purchasing a book to help me save some money. Any recommendations?

To really save money I suggest you check your local library. :thumbsup2 They should have several books on WDW that you can check out and then you can decide what you like best. You may decide to buy or just use the library ones. Even if they are a year or two old most of the information is still useful and can be suplemented with the free information you can find here!
I do find that the Unofficial Guide as said above is my favorite. Also the Passporter.

I used the books from my local library to help me plan my first trip. It saves money and if I ended up not really liking it, then I wasn't stuck with it! In addition to the ones above, I also like The Complete Idiots Guide To WDW. Good Luck!

I like Birnbaums Official Guide. Very easy to read and fits nicely in your back pack to carry to the parks with you.

I really liked that one too--I couldn't remember how to spell the name and didn't feel like getting up:surfweb:

Birbaum's book on disney is my favorite but I would also suggest Walt Disney for Dummies, I really enjoyed it. But remember keep reading these boards because here is probably the best info you will get! :flower3:

My favorite is the Unofficial Guide. It's not written by Disney people, so you get honest opinions and facts. Nothing against Birnbaums' book- this is a good book, also. But I feel there are more "truths" in the Unofficial guide.
